Chapter 64: Plaything?
Sloane Sinclair knew Giselle Frost well, and Giselle knew her right back.
Even someone who had never met Sloane could hear the obvious dismissal threaded through her words—she clearly didn't believe a single thing Giselle had said.
Just minutes earlier Giselle had told Elias that the innocent would clear their own names, so she had zero intention of explaining herself to Sloane. The fastest way to stop Sloane from overthinking was to ignore her entirely. Under Sloane's stunned stare, Giselle turned, walked into the suite, and shut the door with a firm click.
"Wait…" Sloane stood frozen, then glanced outside at the still-bright afternoon sky. It wasn't even evening yet.
Her expression turned serious. So Giselle and this boy really were serious?
Good thing she hadn't been too harsh with him last time. If he whispered the right pillow talk, she might be the one facing Giselle's accounting now.
Still… the boy was so ordinary.
