Chapter 30 - The Knight Anna Froster

Siri looked at Kelly and sighed.

"Nothing. I called Dad to tell him to break off the engagement, and he agreed."

"But you will see that bastard every day at the academy."

Kelly clenched her fists.

"Just thinking about him makes me angry. How could he betray you after everything you did for him?"

Siri sighed.

"Well, that doesn't matter now. At least I know his true character before we get married."

But despite what Siri said, she was sad and disappointed; she had truly loved that scoundrel, and when she thought about it, she pitied herself.

Kelly noticed her friend's expression, approached her, and hugged her.

"Do I have to sleep here tonight?"

Siri smiled.

"If you want to, I won't stop you."

Then the two girls went to bed

Ryan woke to the sunlight, then to the sound of a soldier's voice:

"You, boy, wake up. We have to go."

Ryan opened his eyes, then the soldier pulled a blanket off his body.

"Go to the commander. He said he wants to see you."

Ryan got up and washed his face with some water that was in front of his tent.

He saw that the soldiers were preparing to move on, as they had begun to dismantle their tents and mount their horses.

Ryan asked Mard Soldier where Froskar was, and after finding out where he was, he headed towards him.

Upon approaching his location, he noticed that Froskar was speaking to a female soldier who was tall and athletic, but despite that, her skin was flawless.

Her face was feminine and her hair was long and black. She wore her armor and her sword hung at her waist.

Ryan approached them and greeted them.

"Good morning, sir, madam."

Froskar looked behind him at the sound of Ryan's voice.

"Have you arrived? Say hello. This knight will be your protector for the next month."

The knight stepped forward, gave Ryan a smile, and extended her hand to shake his.

"Anna Froster, Frost Soldier"

Ryan smiled and extended his hand to shake hers.

"Ryan Darvin"

After introducing themselves, Anna spoke:

"Do you know how to ride a horse?"

Ryan shook his head.

"No."

"Hmm, so I suppose you should ride the horse with me. Where are your belongings?"

Ryan pointed with his finger to the location of his ten.

"The soldier who woke me up told me he'd put it away with the rest of the luggage until we reached the capital."

"Okay then..."

Then Anna put her fingers in her mouth and whistled.

Moments later, an image of a horse began to appear.

It was a beautiful horse, its coat as white as snow, and even its hair and tail were white.

Anna patted the horse's head.

"Well done, good girl."

Anna noticed Ryan looking at the horse and smiled.

"She's beautiful, isn't she? Her name is Luna, and she's my mare."

Anna stopped patting Ryan and approached her.

"Okay, now."

Anna carried Ryan like a small child.

Ryan became annoyed.

"What are you doing?"

Anna looked at his annoyed face and smiled.

"You have to ride on Luna's back? That's why I'm helping you."

Anna stepped forward carrying Ryan and placed him on the horse.

"Hold the reins."

Ryan was a little nervous because it was his first time riding a horse.

But then Anna jumped up and rode the horse with him, holding the reins, and Ryan was in her arms as if he were hugging her.

The tension vanished, replaced by embarrassment; his face turned completely red, as he could smell her sweet fragrance and his head touched her breast.

Ryan lowered his head so he wouldn't feel her breasts against the back of his head.

'Oh my god, this is so embarrassing'

Anna noticed his behavior and facial expression, smiled, and giggled softly so Ryan couldn't hear.

'He's so cute!'

Then she gently touched her horse.

"Luna, let's move."

And the horse began to move.

Half an hour had passed since he started walking, and Ryan's face was so red he hadn't felt so embarrassed since he was born.

'This damn woman is treating me like a child.'

They were close to leaving the forest now, as there was a village to their left, but they would not pass through it.

Upon leaving the forest, they will encounter a vast area used by farmers for agriculture; their field of vision will no longer be as shallow as it is now, surrounded by trees everywhere.

The problem is that when he rides with Anna, every movement of hers makes her head go up and down above his, and she doesn't seem interested, as if she's dealing with a child. This makes him feel embarrassed and also angry.

Since she was treating him like a child, Ryan opened his mouth to say something, but at that moment he heard a scream from the front.
