Chapter 228 - 226

Chapter 226

Palms of Darkness

"Are you afraid of me, humans?"

The moment the orc leader spoke those words, an enormous magical pressure erupted and swept through the entire hall.

A heavy, suffocating force crushed the hunters' chests and shattered their resolve in an instant.

"So… it happened just as I expected."

Many of them lowered their heads unconsciously.

Before a being that surpassed them in strength and will, the weak could do nothing but bow.

"Why did you bring us here?!"

The team leader shouted in desperation.

Meanwhile, the orc leader smiled calmly and happily.

"For the sake of entertainment."

The leader raised his sword and roared with all the strength he possessed before charging toward the orc leader, expecting everyone to follow him.

But…

No one moved.

When facing an entity that surpasses you, the spirit breaks before the body.

Rarely… very rarely does one's will withstand such overwhelming tyranny.

The leader closed his eyes in disappointment, but he did not stop.

He continued his attack.

The orc leader lazily raised his hand.

"Gravity."

In the next instant, the leader's body rose from the ground and began being violently hurled between the ceiling and the floor like a weightless doll.

"Ah… what a pleasure."

But suddenly—

The leader's body disappeared from the range of the magic and fell to the ground unharmed.

Standing over him was Song Jin-Woo.

"Mr. Ki-Hoon…

This dungeon belongs to the Hunters Guild, so I cannot interfere arbitrarily."

Then he asked him in a calm tone, as though it were an ordinary day:

"Let me ask you just one question…

Can I kill all the monsters here?"

At that moment, a Red Orc charged toward Song's head.

But—

Before it could reach him—

A charred human face appeared before it.

A dark… scorched… terrifying face.

"Get away, you filthy thing."

Arthur waved his hand indifferently, tearing the orc's head from its body and holding it in his hand as though it were nothing.

"You idiot, let's just get rid of them.

Why are you even asking?"

"Because it's a matter of courtesy."

"Alright, alright…

As this bastard said, can we kill them all or not?"

Arthur sighed as he looked at Ki-Hoon.

"Please… help us."

"You have my permission."

"Come… my shadows."

With that command, shadows erupted from Song Jin-Woo's body, covering the hall like a terrifying black tide.

"Hmm…"

Arthur thought for a moment.

"No… not now.

I think this is enough."

"What do you mea—"

But before Song could finish his question…

Pure dark energy began quietly swirling around Arthur's body, as though it were breathing.

The aura contracted.

It shrank.

Then it concentrated… around his hands alone.

"Palms of Darkness."

"Finally…

My training with dark energy is beginning to bear fruit."

Arthur moved his hands.

They were no longer human hands.

They had become the palms of a dark… terrifying beast.

"Song… do you want the leader or the soldiers?"

"You bastard… you do this every time."

"Choose quickly. My blood is boiling."

He did not wait for an answer.

Arthur struck the ground beneath his feet and shot toward the rows of orcs.

With the first swing…

Three orcs disappeared completely.

No corpses… no remains.

"Yes… this is what I'm talking about."

A mad smile spread across his face.

"Let the massacre begin, you bastards!"

He released a thunderous aura that swept through the orcs.

But it was not an aura meant to frighten or paralyze them.

This time…

It was an aura of experimentation.

He wanted to become one with the Palms of Darkness.

He swung his hands left and right.

Struck.

Crushed.

Then he noticed the shadow of a knight charging from behind him.

A shining sword.

One strike.

An orc fell.

He recognized him immediately.

"You… one of Song's soldiers.

Let me see your true mettle."

Arthur charged toward the orc, challenging Igris.

Igris struck with blinding speed, cutting down five orcs as though they were nothing.

Arthur smiled with genuine excitement.

"I admit… you're strong. But…"

He waved his hand through the air.

An invisible magical strike shot forward, killing nine orcs at once.

"What do you say?

Whoever kills more makes a request of the other."

Then he turned toward Song, who was fighting the orc leader.

"Sooooong!

Can I fight this knight after we finish the dungeon if I win the challenge?"

"Why not?

I want to see your strength too."

Arthur smiled.

And in the next moment—

Igris charged forward, excited.

"Look at this bastard!"

Arthur pushed his hair back, struck the ground with force, and the dungeon trembled.

"I'm going to wipe them all out."

And the slaughter festival began.

Right… left… above… below.

Without stopping.

Without mercy.

Arthur roared with insane excitement.

He had lost a part of his mind.

The scene was as though the God of Death had stopped time and begun harvesting souls.

But the truth was even more terrifying…

Even the God of Death himself, had he been present,

would have been frightened by this man.

A beast fighting with the excitement of a child at play.

Orc blood covered his entire body.

His pure blue eyes burned like a terrifying celestial light.

The ground became one with the blood.

Bodies were scattered everywhere.

"Arthuuuuur! Stop!"

He stopped.

He turned around.

Not a single orc remained.

He had killed 389 orcs by himself.

"What?"

He asked, as though he wanted more.

"You killed everyone, you bastard!

Stop!

What do you want now? To kill the humans?!"

Arthur looked at Song…

And slowly smiled.

"Hmm…

What about you?"

"Huh?!"

"Song Jin-Woo…"

"Let's fight.

And see who's stronger."
