Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 — The Ultra Senji Ryakketsu

Power returned to me slowly at first, like a forgotten melody drifting back into memory. Then, one morning as I meditated beneath the rising sun, I realized something had changed. The flow of furyoku within my soul no longer felt fractured or restrained. It moved smoothly, endlessly, like an ocean finally freed from chains.

I had recovered the majority of my true strength.

The world itself seemed quieter in response, as though it understood something ancient had awakened once more.

Ren and Mei were still asleep when I stood and extended my senses across both the physical and spirit realms. Countless spiritual currents revealed themselves to me — threads of existence invisible to ordinary shamans. I could feel fear, ambition, prayers, curses, and wandering souls drifting through the air.

It was time.

Power alone was not enough. I required guardians.

I raised my hand and began forming the ancient seals remembered not only by me, but by another life that still lived within my memories — Hao.

The ritual circle burned into existence beneath my feet, drawn not with ink but with condensed furyoku. Symbols of Onmyōdō rotated slowly, aligning heaven, earth, yin, and yang into perfect balance.

"Manifest," I commanded quietly.

The air tore open.

From the rift emerged two presences — violent, ancient, and obedient only to overwhelming authority.

The first spirit stepped forward wrapped in blazing spiritual flame, its form fierce and wild, eyes glowing with destructive hunger. Horned and powerful, it radiated aggression like a living weapon.

"Zenki," I named it.

The spirit bowed immediately, recognizing its master.

The second followed, heavier in presence yet calmer, its energy dense like an unmoving mountain. Where Zenki burned, this one endured. Its gaze was calculating, protective rather than reckless.

"Goki."

The ground trembled slightly as it knelt beside its counterpart.

Shikigami born directly from my furyoku — extensions of my will given form.

Their existence stabilized instantly, proof of how much of my power had truly returned.

Zenki spoke first, its voice echoing inside my mind. Master… we await your command.

Goki remained silent but watchful, already scanning the surrounding spiritual space for threats.

"You will guard this home," I told them. "Protect the twins. Obey only my will."

Both spirits accepted without hesitation, their forms shrinking slightly before fading into invisible spiritual states, bound to my presence yet capable of manifesting at any moment.

Satisfied, I turned toward the second task awaiting me.

Knowledge must never be lost again.

Inside the house, while the twins trained outside under the watchful awareness of my shikigami, I began writing.

Paper and ink were unnecessary, but I chose them anyway. Physical records anchored power in reality, ensuring survival beyond memory alone.

I recreated the work from my past life — every technique, every discovery, every forbidden insight.

The Chō-Senjiryakketsu, the Ultra Senji Ryakketsu.

The spirit book once written by Hao Asakura himself.

My hand moved endlessly across the pages, guided by perfect recollection. Memories surfaced with unnatural clarity: rituals performed centuries ago, battles fought against legendary shamans, experiments in soul manipulation that few beings had ever dared attempt.

Chapter by chapter, the knowledge returned.

Principles of furyoku flow — how emotion shaped spiritual output.

Methods of soul perception — seeing the truth of a being beyond flesh.

Onmyōdō formations capable of reshaping natural law within limited space.

The creation of shikigami, including the precise spiritual equations required to summon Zenki and Goki.

Advanced spirit fusion techniques.

Barrier construction.

Curse inversion.

And deeper secrets still — arts so dangerous that even writing them caused the air to grow heavy with pressure.

The book became more than text. Each page absorbed fragments of my furyoku, transforming it into a spiritual artifact. Anyone unworthy attempting to read it would see only meaningless symbols.

Only those acknowledged by me could understand its contents.

By the time I finished the final chapter, night had fallen.

I closed the book gently.

Its presence alone distorted the surrounding spiritual energy, marking it as something sacred — or terrifying, depending on who discovered it.

Sixteen chapters formed its foundation, though more would be added as my power continued to evolve. Knowledge was never truly complete.

Ren entered quietly, sensing the change immediately.

"Father… something feels different."

Mei followed, eyes wide with excitement. "There are new spirits!"

Zenki briefly manifested behind them, towering protectively before fading again. Mei laughed instead of feeling fear.

"They're strong," Ren said cautiously.

"Yes," I replied. "They are your guardians."

I placed the book before me.

"This," I continued, resting my hand upon its cover, "is the record of everything I know. One day, you will learn from it."

Mei leaned closer. "Can I read it now?"

"No."

She pouted.

Ren nodded solemnly, already understanding the weight behind my words.

Outside, unseen forces stirred. The creation of powerful shikigami and the rebirth of an ancient grimoire sent ripples through the spiritual world.

Some would come seeking knowledge.

Others would come seeking power.

And some would come simply to destroy what they feared.

I welcomed all possibilities.

Because now, with Zenki and Goki at my side and the Ultra Senji Ryakketsu restored, the foundation of my future had finally been completed.
