Chapter 242 - Chapter 242: Taking Down Yan

The reason the Celestials could not clearly see the past was not because Karl had interfered with the timeline.

Rather—

It was because of the mysterious system inside Karl's body.

That system prevented the Celestials from observing Karl's true identity through temporal observation.

Karl himself had no idea that he had avoided the Celestials' investigation thanks to the system.

However, this protection would not last forever.

Karl traveled constantly throughout the universe.

Eventually, someone who had seen him before would reveal his identity.

Furthermore, Karl had taken Red Crystal away.

And the residual cosmic energy left behind by the aftermath of Karl's attack still lingered throughout the galaxy.

Those energy traces could eventually be used to track him.

At this moment, however—

Karl was completely unaware of any of this.

He was sitting in Yan's private garden aboard Skyblade VII, calmly drinking tea.

"You came here just to sit and drink my tea?"

Yan rolled her eyes at Karl.

"If you have nothing important to do, you should go back."

Karl wasn't angry at all.

He casually took another sip of tea.

Then he smiled.

"Can't I spend some time with you?"

"What's wrong, Yan Yan?"

"Are you angry?"

Karl deliberately used the nickname he had given her.

His eyes carried a teasing expression.

"No!"

"Get out of here!"

"I don't want you here!"

"Why would I be angry?!"

"And don't call me Yan Yan!!"

Yan immediately panicked.

Her voice rose as she tried to hide her embarrassment.

But Karl noticed her reaction instantly.

The next moment—

Karl pulled Yan directly into his arms.

Of course he knew why she was upset.

It was because of what had happened earlier in the research laboratory.

What bothered Yan was not that Karl had accepted Natasha and Yelena.

She had long understood that Karl would have many women in the future.

She had already prepared herself mentally for that reality.

What truly bothered her was something else.

They had become Karl's women before she had.

That fact made her deeply uncomfortable.

Previously, there had always been urgent matters to deal with.

So Yan never expressed her feelings.

But now that they had returned to the warship and everything was calm—

Her frustration finally surfaced.

Karl leaned closer to her ear.

He whispered softly.

"Let me guess why my dear Yan Yan is angry."

"Is it because of the research lab?"

"Did you want to replace those two yourself?"

Yan struggled briefly in his arms.

But eventually she stopped resisting.

After hearing Karl's words, her eyes widened.

She stared directly at him.

Karl calmly returned her gaze.

Then—

He kissed her.

Yan froze in shock.

Then panic followed.

She had never kissed anyone before.

She had absolutely no idea what to do.

But Karl quickly guided her.

Soon the two of them were completely immersed in the kiss.

Karl's tongue explored her mouth as their breathing grew heavier.

They kissed for nearly thirty minutes before finally separating.

Yan buried her face in Karl's chest.

Her cheeks were flushed.

Her breathing was unsteady.

She didn't dare look at him anymore.

Before she could fully recover—

She suddenly felt weightless.

The next moment—

She found herself lying on her own bed.

Just as Karl was about to move closer—

Yan stopped him.

Then she stood up.

Kneeling on one knee before him.

Her expression became solemn.

"I am willing to become Karl's Guardian Angel."

"I will love what he loves."

"I will think what he thinks."

"I will bear his pain and share his suffering."

"Whether in poverty or wealth."

"Whether humble or noble."

"Whether in chaos or abandoned by the gods."

"I will draw my sword for him."

"And fold my wings for him."

"I will never leave him."

"Forever."

Yan completed her oath of guardianship.

As the oath ended, her angelic wings slowly retracted into her body.

She looked at Karl with deep affection.

Her eyes carried a seductive charm.

WHOOSH—

The next moment—

Karl pounced on her.

Who could possibly resist Yan in that moment?

That day—

Karl experienced the gentleness and passion of what many called the most beautiful beings in the universe.

An angel.

Their time together lasted nearly twenty-four hours.

Eventually, Karl fell asleep while holding his future angel in his arms.

Yan rested peacefully beside him.

[Ding!]

[Congratulations, Host.]

[You have gained one sign-in opportunity.]

[You now have three sign-in opportunities.]

[Would you like to sign in now?]

The system's voice echoed softly.

But Karl ignored it.

He simply continued sleeping with his little angel in his arms.

Elsewhere aboard the warship—

Little Wanda was once again looking down on Big Wanda.

After all—

Everyone aboard the ship had heard Yan's Guardian Angel oath.

Little Wanda now felt even more justified in teasing Big Wanda.

After working hard for so long—

Big Wanda still only dared to dream.

Meanwhile Yan had already become Karl's woman.

Nearly twelve hours later, Karl slowly woke up.

At that moment, his hand was resting on Yan's waist.

Yan leaned against the headboard, quietly watching him.

When Karl opened his eyes—

The first thing he saw was Yan's snow-white skin.

"Awake already?"

Yan smiled mischievously.

"How was it?"

"Did you enjoy your angel?"

"Do you like it?"

"Why are you still staring?"

She didn't care at all about her exposed appearance.

Now that she belonged to Karl, such things meant nothing to her.

Karl smirked.

"I seem to remember someone begging for mercy yesterday."

Before he could finish speaking—

Yan sealed his lips with another kiss.

The two shared another passionate embrace.

Later, Skyblade VII continued traveling silently through deep space.

Not far away—

Another spacecraft was traveling toward a distant planet.

Inside the ship were Star-Lord (Peter Quill) and Gamora.

They were heading toward the planet belonging to Star-Lord's father.

His father was Ego, the Living Planet.

A unique Celestial-like being whose physical body was literally the planet itself.

Meanwhile, Skyblade VII's sensors detected their spacecraft.

Karl looked at the small white ship on the screen.

It seemed strangely familiar.

Curious, Karl put on his Golden Cloth and went out to investigate.

When he saw Star-Lord inside the ship—

Karl immediately realized whose vessel it was.

Wasn't this the ship connected to Ego the Living Planet?
