~ Narrator POV ~
Sleep alluded Seiji, he tried to get some sleep but he couldn't, he would sleep for about 15-30 minutes lying down waiting for the sleep to come but would feel restless and get back up to discover more about the Multiversal Group Chat.
This process kept repeating throughout the late hours and before he knew it, the sun was already rising and there was only approximately about two hours until school started.
During this process however, Seiji discovered some more things about the group chat, while most things he asked were met with the same "You do not yet have enough authorization" messages the ones that could be answered were enlightening.
1: Only Seiji Fujiwara can tell people about the existence of the group chat and allow other group chat members to tell others about the group chat.
If a member does tell anyone without Seiji's permission the member will be kicked from the Group Chat and all memories of the group chat will be erased.
2: After every mission the group gets a grade depending on the number of assignments completed for each mission.
3: The grades go from F-EX, F being the worst grade you could possibly get and from the Chat Groups description virtually impossible to get, and EX being the best by completing all the assignments and even more.
4: Expanding on the missions part of the Multiversal Group Chat, if you use outside energy systems that do not belong to the current universe your grade drops ever so slightly, which in turn would automatically make the EX grade null.
For Example if Seiji and the other members were put into the Frieren Universe and you complete all the tasks and even more, the moments you use an outside energy, let's say chakra even slightly, you lose that EX grade.
5: The grade you get after you complete the mission determines the rewards you get for completing said mission.
And most importantly,
6: The more me and the members progress through missions our connection to the Group Chat grows stronger giving us more authorization to know more intimate things about the Group Chat.
Along with exploring the Group Chat more, the other questions Seiji asked were not as important, just double checking what other functions did. Now, the only thing left for Seiji to do was the beginners gift package.
For 5 minutes now he's been staring at that open option under the beginners package.
Seiji shook his head "No. I promised them that I would open it with them, I'm not some gacha junkie like them!" He said giving himself some encouragement before nodding…
...The screen flashed a multitude of colors ranging from gold, to purple, to blue, to green, to grey…He had opened the beginners package, Seiji Fujiwara had failed the gacha temptation…
Seiji kept his eyes closed as he smiled, it wasn't a smile like he was proud of himself, no. He was trying to hold himself back from laughing. He can almost hear the meme now, "Seiji why you trying not to laugh bruh!"
He opened his eyes to see the items he had gotten from the package and his mouth opened wide at one of the items.
[Avalon (Copy)] Legendary S-Rank: It's a copy of Avalon The sheath of Excalibur! Not as powerful as the original but still very powerful in its own right, could only be used to summon Artoria Pendargon when using the correct hero summoning ritual.

"AWOOOOOAAAA! RIVERS OF BLOOD!!!" Seiji yelled, waking the other occupants of the house. The next thing Seiji knew was that two very sleepy, very grumpy siblings were in his room glaring at him.
"Can you keep it down? You interrupted my sleep, you were so loud that I could hear you through the headphones! I was blissfully asleep listening to mommy ASMR!" Yuki complained, rubbing her already messy hair, messing it up even further.
Seiji looked 'disgusted' by that statement "Mommy ASMR?! What a disgraceful thing! You should tell me the channel name so I can avoid it…" He said looking 'disgustingly' at Yuki, when really he was not so subtly asking for the channel.
"No can do, Seiji even if you are the one that's asking me. The channel I found is niche and I can't go around spreading the goods that easily." Yuki said, shaking her head as that was a simple rule everyone should know.
"Hmm? Seiji, were you exploring the Multiversal Group Chat? Is that why you were shouting?" Masachika asked, having spotted Seiji's phone with the screen still on. He couldn't fully see the screen due to him still being sleepy and the phone being a little far away to get a clear view.
"Oh, yeah. I couldn't really sleep, so I just asked the Chat Group some more questions. I was mostly met with unanswered questions, but I did get some pretty useful information about missions." Seiji said, taking his phone and conveniently leaving out the opening of the beginners package.
"Oh, what was that about the rivers of blood…?" Masachika said before pausing, he didn't see Elden Ring playing on the screen, just a horror movie. "You opened the Beginners Package, didn't you?" It wasn't a question.
Yuki's head snapped towards Masachika before it snapped to Seiji, "What?!" She yelled looking at Seiji with an expression like she had just caught her spouse being unfaithful.
"Whaaaat? Noooooo...Alright, fine! But it's because I had no more questions and couldn't fall asleep! I tried, I really did try to resist but that button tempted me and I put that on Masachika's life!" Seiji swore, raising his hand over his heart.
"My life???" Masachika said, astonished, waiting for himself to be struck down by lightning.
"Rivers of blood? What's that?" Yuki asked and that's when Seiji puffed out his chest, stood up from his bed and pulled out the Rivers of Blood Katana that was in his inventory.
The Rivers of Blood Katana was a hauntingly beautiful weapon, it was a distinct dark red and black katana that appeared to be coated in dried blood that replaced the sharp edges of the blade.
"This my dear Yuki, is the rivers of blood katana from one of my favorite games Elden Ring, it could be said that before the nerf it was probably the most powerful katana in the game." Seiji explained quite proudly, after all it was his favorite weapon in the game, even after the nerf.
"Blood build trash…" Masachika mummered, causing Seiji to glare at him.
"Soulsborne players when you use what's in the game." Seiji snapped back sharply, making a retarded face.
"Whoa! It's cool, what else did you get?" Yuki asked, examining the blade.
Seiji shrugged and handed her the phone, he didn't recognize the legendary item, the only things he recognized and knew were Rivers of Blood, the Race Evolution card, Super Soldier Serum, Wing Chun Proficiency, and money…money was always good.
"WHAT, YOU GOT RIAS GREMORY'S PANTIES!!" Yuki yelled, causing Masachika to rush over to her and look at the screen.
"Why are you surprised about that when he has literal Avalon!" Masachika exclaimed dumbfoundedly on his sisters' mixed priorities.
"Eh, it's just a copy made to summon Artoria, and we can't even do that because news flash big brother there is no throne of heroes in this world, nor is there any form of magic… I tried." Yuki said to Masachika before looking back at the phone screen.
"The real treasure though, is that he has THE Rias Gremory's panties, and they're freshly worn! Don't you wanna see if her boobs are even bigger than what they appear to be in the anime?" She asked, looking at both Masachika and Seiji, even though he had no idea who she was.
Masachika hesitated, while Seiji just looked curious,"Are her boobs really as big as you make them out to be?" He asked.
Yuki smirked that she had Seiji right where she wanted him, "Feast your eyes on this absolute drop dead gorgeous devil, Rias Gremory." She showed the screen to Seiji, now showing Rias Gremory in white two piece bikini.
After seeing the picture Seiji looked at Masachika with the utmost serious expression he could muster, "She's right Masachika, this is important in of itself."
Masachika sweatdropped, he took the phone from Yuki to look at the other items Seiji got from the beginners package, and seeing the other items he quickly changed the subject "Look at the other things you got, Observation Haki, Incomplete SS serum, Wing Chun Proficiency so you'll know how to fight now."
"I'll take the Super Soldier serum." Yuki spoke up.
"I know you're trying to change the subject." Seiji deadpanned.
Masachika skillfully ignored Seiji before turning to his sister "Absolutely not. Didn't you hear me when I said it's incomplete? Yeah, it'll boost your physical capabilities and get rid of your asthma but who knows what kind of after effects would happen." He explained.
Yuki waved her hand "I know, it was just a joke Masachika, I'm not dumb…but I will take Rias Gremory's panties." Yuki said with a sketchy smile on her lips.
"Hell no! The Multiversal Group Chat is mine therefore whatever comes from it belongs to me!" Seiji suddenly pipped up.
Yuki turned to him "Hah? You didn't even know about Rias Gremory until I showed you one singular picture of her, now all of a sudden you like her enough to have her panties in your inventory?" She said indignantly.
"Should've never shown me a picture of her." Seiji said with a shrug.
Masachika sweatdropped hearing his best friend and his sister argue over who gets the freshly worn undergarments of Rias Gremory. He couldn't lie though, he himself wanted them too.
Just as the two looked like they were about to wrestle, the door to Seiji's room opened, and in came Renako who just stared at the three of them shocked and a little bit disgusted. She had heard everything up until Yuki yelled about Rias Gremory's panties.
Both Masachika and Seiji paused upon seeing her, while Yuki not so silently clicked her tongue.
"Uh, Renako, when did you get here?" Seiji asked.
"I came here a few minutes ago…why are you guys talking about Rias Gremory's panties? And Observation Haki? And Incomplete Super Soldier Serums? And Multiversal Group Chat's?" Renako said, but her face was blank, devoid of all emotion.
The room went silent again, realizing that while she hadn't heard everything, she had heard enough.
"Uhh, why don't you let us get dressed and I'll tell you, alright?" Seiji said softly. Renako nodded, her face still blank as she didn't know how to react just yet.
~ Seiji Fujiwara POV ~
So here we stood, well where I stood and the others sat in front of me the TV projecting the Multiversal Group Chat as I connected my phone to the TV.
Masachika and Yuki had abandoned me when I needed them the most, explaining the Group Chat to Renako in fact they were right in front of me listening as if it was their first time hearing about this. Why need enemies when you have friends like this.
After I finished explaining everything to Renako, she just sat there looking at the TV screen with a stunned expression.
"So, any questions?" I asked Renako to break her out of her shocked spell, but seeing Yuki raise her hand I sweatdropped, this girl…
"Not you Yuki…" her response was to click her teeth and look away. My eyebrow twitched at that, I admit.
Renako then spoke up, "So you're telling me…that yesterday a strange app downloaded itself on your phone…" She started before I interrupted her.
"Multiversal Group Chat."
"Riiight…" she said slowly "So, yesterday this app, Multiversal Group Chat, that would send you on missions, dangerous missions at that." I interrupted her again.
"But I won't die, well I will die but not permanently, if I do die I just get sent back here." I said hurriedly.
"But you still die, Seiji! You will still feel that pain and come back most likely traumatized! And what makes it even worse is that you can't even get rid of this stupid app!" Renako exclaimed glaring at the TV screen.
I didn't have anything to say and when I looked at the other two, they didn't have anything to say either. While exploring the app last night and this morning that thought did come to my mind.
'If I died, would I still feel the pain?'
'Would I be the same afterwards?'
Those were my thoughts when asking about the missions to the Chat Group. But when I did voice my thoughts to the Chat Group, it basically reassured me that I would have the necessary items to survive in different universes.
I didn't know how credible that was, but once again, there is nothing I can possibly do about it.
"I know Renako, but there's nothing I…nothing we can do about it. I can't give it to someone else as it's already bound to me, and if I tried to unbind it from my soul, which I wouldn't even know where to start, I would die, permanently. All I could do is just accept the situation at hand…" I explained gently.
Renako went quiet after that. I can see in those purple expressive eyes of hers that while she accepted the fact that there was indeed nothing we could do to get rid of the group chat she couldn't accept the fact that it was me that had been chosen.
"Did you tell Aunt Sakura?" She asked quietly and I just shook my head.
"No, and I won't tell her yet. Prior to leaving for Russia she would always express how important this deal would be to her, to us. And me telling her about this will no doubt 100% have her coming back here, so I won't bother her with this, at least not for now." I said, thinking about how nervous mom had been about the deal she had in Russia.
I didn't know what exactly that deal was and when I asked she either entirely avoided the conversation or was incredibly vague about it so I just dropped it.
Renako breathed in deeply before releasing it. "I still don't like that you had to be chosen for this…and I don't like the fact that I had to find out on my own instead of you telling me like you did with Masachika and Yuki, but okay." She said softly.
"Okay?" I asked, smiling at her, she really was adorable the way she would get all worried like that about me, it genuinely warmed my heart…maybe I should just marry her already…
"Okay, but! I want you to know, Seiji. That if anything ever happens on these missions, I'm always here." Renako said and just by a glance of her face I knew she was genuine.
"I'll be here too." Masachika chimed in, smiling.
Then we all looked at Yuki expecting her to say the same, but… "What? Seiji already knows that no matter what, he can never get rid of me." She said matter of factly.
I smiled looking at all of my closest friends and family, sitting right in front of me, bar Haruna and mom, reassuring me that even if things got tough, I would have them to fall back on.
"You guys are gonna make me cry, you know." I joked, causing them to laugh.
"You? crying? Actually I don't think I've ever seen you cry, so please do so." Masachika joked back, he even had his phone out with the camera pointed towards me, committing to the bit.
"No. Oh crap school! I'm on cleaning duty today!" Seiji exclaimed hurriedly before gathering his things and leaving for the door, "See you guys!" I said before leaving.

"Whoo!" Wiping the imaginary sweat from my forehead, I looked around proud of my work.
The classroom was spotless, and I finished early too! But that also left me with a new problem…I'm bored. I had about 30 minutes until classes started and the first students, mostly third years, started to arrive.
So I sat down, not at my desk but Alya's because her desk was the closest to the window and at the moment the gentle cool winds blowing in felt too good.
Then I decided to open the Group Chat app again and claim some of the gifts from the package. First I thought of using the Race Evolution Card but quickly discarded the idea due to the physical changes I'd no doubt go through, it'd be too risky while at school.
Then I looked at Observation Haki. I looked around the classroom, then out of the window just to make sure before claiming and when I did, I had the weirdest feeling ever.
Information on the basics of the Observation Haki and how to activate it was forced into my brain. I couldn't explain the feeling, it just felt…wierd.
The range of the Observation Haki wasn't big, probably two and a half classrooms as I could sense everything in this room, the next, and half the classroom after. All without looking!
"So cool…" I turned to the other gifts and the next one I claimed was Wing Chun Proficiency, much like Observation Haki, information of Wing Chun fighting style was shoved into my brain.
"That…that was much more disorienting than Observation Haki. But at least I know how to fight now. I'll probably have to practice it to get my body accustomed, but it'll be worth it."
I turned to the next one I could claim at the moment, $10,000,000 USD, which was approximately $1.5 trillion Japanese Yen. I looked at my personal bank account and for sure, I was richer by $1.5 trillion Japanese yen.
The next one made me pause, Random Bound Spirit Card, a card that'll bind a spirit to me probably permanently, probably not. I took out the card, it looked ethereal, a glowing blue card.
"If I crack it, it'll activate and I'll have a random spirit bound to me, possibly permanently…" I muttered, staring at the card contemplating, but what I didn't account for was that the moment I applied just even the slightest of pressure the card cracked.
"Uh-oh."
The card in my hand shattered into small blue fragments as they floated up dispersing in the air. I waited with baited breath for something to happen, a bright light, a summoning circle, but nothing… nothing happened.
"Nothing happened??? Maybe it was a dud? Or there were no lingering spirits in this world?" I muttered still not seeing a ghost or anything. Just as I was about to go back to examine one of the gifts I heard a bright cherry bubbly voice speak up behind me.
"Who are you?~"
"GAH!!!" I jolted up turning to meet the eyes of in my opinion one of, if not the most pair of beautiful eyes I've ever seen.
She was short, maybe even shorter than Renako, she has long indigo-purple hair to her lower back, and the most beautiful pair of eyes I had ever seen before. I was stunned she was cute, really cute.
"Who are you?~" She asked again, her tone light and cheerful as she gazed intently at me.
"Oh! Uh, I-I'm Seiji, Fujiwara Seiji, and I may or may not have summoned…you…"
