Cherreads

Chapter 8 - Chaos unsheathes its sword

‏The air in the hospital had become heavy, saturated with the humidity of blood. The floor was soaked with blood and debris, and the faint rays of light seeping through cracks in the ceiling painted jagged lines on the ground, as if marking a path of endless tragedy.

‏Ginsu sat on the ground, his body shattered—his right hand missing, a leg severed, fingers cut off—trembling from the pain inflicted by Yami. His blood covered him like a dark red painting, and his screams echoed through the hospital, mixing with the shadows and the scent of death.

‏Yami stood before him, his massive body shrouded in black shadows, eyes burning with rage and hatred, holding a colossal sword so huge that any movement of it generated a gust of air that shook the floor. His voice was deep, calm, but deadly:

‏Yami: "Look at you… your entire body is just ruins… every tear reflects the truth you try to deny… humans were made to suffer, to perish… pain is their only path."

‏Ginsu screamed in agony, his body trembling with every word:

‏Ginsu: "Please… stop… no… don't do this!"

‏Yami stepped forward, the sword glinting in the dim light, sharp as truth itself, a single swing enough to cut through anything:

‏Yami: "Stop? Hahaha… stopping is an illusion. Every wound, every loss, every drop of your blood… reveals the truth: life is meaningless, death is inevitable, and chaos is the only law."

‏Ginsu tried to crawl away, his shredded body refusing to obey, his screams rising:

‏Ginsu: "Please… enough… I've suffered enough… I surrender… please…"

‏Yami slowly turned, the great sword shining, shadows writhing around him as if swallowing every bit of light:

‏Yami: "Surrender is what makes humans weak! You cling to life as if it were a treasure… but everything collapses… everything disappears… and every drop of your blood only proves how pathetic you are… how fragile humanity is."

‏Tears mixed with blood on Ginsu's face, his cries filled with helplessness:

‏Ginsu: "Please… please stop… I haven't done anything…"

‏Raising the massive sword above his head, Yami's black mist swirled around him like a living nightmare, his voice filling the place and shaking the ground:

‏Yami: "You… and all humans… are just flakes on the face of chaos. You think your life is precious… and that your death is tragic… No, death is the only truth you cannot escape. Every wound, every scream, every drop of blood… is a lesson: humans must die… and only pain makes you realize that."

‏A long scream of pain erupted from Ginsu, his body trembling as if about to explode:

‏Ginsu: "Please… stop… I can't… I… I…!"

‏Yami swung the massive sword down toward him, but didn't strike yet, letting the threat terrorize his body and soul:

‏Yami: "I will not stop… because stopping means lying to yourself again. Everything will end… and all that you are now… is just human truth. Weak, broken, dying… as it should be. And because you shall suffer, pathetic human."

‏He aimed the sword to sever Ginsu's other leg. Ginsu screamed in unbearable pain, leaning on the ground as he cried out:

‏Ginsu: "Damn… damn… damn… I hate you, Yami!"

‏A mysterious voice called: "Ginsu…"

‏Ginsu (startled): "Ha… what's that voice?"

‏The same voice: "Ginsu…"

‏Ginsu: "Mom… I miss you so much…"

‏Suddenly, a memory of his mother on her deathbed flashed in Ginsu's mind. She looked at him, and he didn't know what to say or do. He remained sitting, frozen, remembering her last words: "Live, Ginsu."

‏Ginsu (crying): "Damn… I'm really going to die here… I just want a little time… just a little… I want to live…"

‏Yami turned to look at him:

‏Yami: "Your mortal moment has come."

‏He lunged at Ginsu to kill him, but suddenly Ginsu grabbed Yami's weapon. Yami was stunned.

‏Then Yami felt a powerful pulse, a strange sensation filling him.

‏Yami (shocked): "What… is this feeling… fear?"

‏He stepped back in disbelief, and suddenly a powerful death aura erupted from Ginsu, rising to the sky. His body reformed; his hair became long, black, and majestic. A red mark appeared on his forehead. He stood and let out a terrifying, hysterical laugh.

‏Yami (stunned and terrified): "What is this ominous feeling? What happened to this mortal? His laugh… it alone shakes the atmosphere…"

‏Ginsu looked at Yami and said, his voice firm and commanding:

‏Ginsu: "Bow, you insect!"
