Chapter 199 - 199: The Bell Rings

"Is that so? Then I truly apologize…" A fierce glint flashed in Cael's eyes.

Bang!!

Sparks and explosions erupted at once.

Cael flipped the switch and transformed instantly into a Fused Weapon Human.

A dark greatsword, blacker than anything else, shot forward and pierced the White Devil.

Primal Skill Fusion Technique.

Primal, Chime, Withered Heart Piercing Sword.

The Primal Devil, feared even by other devils in Hell and arrogant beyond reason, had its defenses broken in a single strike.

Snow white intestines spilled out in a messy heap.

As expected of the White Devil, even its insides were white.

At the same time, Cael's body mass rapidly shrank, draining down to a near skeleton.

Still not enough.

The bell had not rung.

Not enough…

"Hm?" The White Devil raised an eyebrow slightly, wiping pale blood from its lips. "You think this can kill me?"

"I'm here too, Mother."

Splat.

Makima and Cael moved with perfect understanding. She saw through his plan and sliced open her own artery without hesitation, letting massive amounts of blood flow through the Control Chains into Cael.

A living human battery.

Her blood continuously fed into him.

"Control? My daughter, you swore an oath. Why betray it?" The White Devil's voice carried a trace of sorrow.

Makima smiled faintly.

"Sorry. I can live without a mother, but not without Cael. The whole parent child game is over. Since you refuse to cooperate, you might as well die."

The White Devil paused, then began chanting in an obscure tone.

"My deepest love,

The light that never fades,

Support the faithful with virtue,

Punish sinners with order,

Let the sacred music never cease,

Let the White Tower stand eternal,

Together, we will purify these pitiful children consumed by darkness."

Its gaze swept across them as it unleashed its Primal Skill.

Gray Death.

A strange gray substance crept onto both Cael and Makima at the same time.

This thing… even a black hole could not swallow it.

Its effect directly neutralized Cael's own negation.

Cael felt it immediately. If that gray substance fully covered him, he would be dissolved and absorbed into the White Devil.

For a moment, everything locked into a bizarre stalemate.

"Cael, I'm here to help you!"

Guangxi moved.

With a single strike, she cut off Makima's head.

Blood erupted from Makima's neck like a fountain, pouring endlessly into Cael.

His body swelled, then shrank, then swelled again, cycling over and over as fresh mass fed the Primal, Chime, Withered Heart Piercing Sword.

Finally.

Just as the Gray Death was about to consume both him and Makima completely…

9,408,900 Neon Humans died under the contract.

Ding.

The bell on the sword's hilt rang.

A clear, crisp sound echoed through Hell.

The White Devil stopped thinking.

Then…

Splat.

Its body collapsed into powder. The invisible staircase behind it shattered, and the White Tower crumbled instantly.

For the first time since its birth, the White Devil died.

Ding.

Host has killed the White Devil, obtaining attribute points.

Absorbing Authority, Primal, Proliferation. Master the power of division. What is whole must scatter. Inflict proliferation upon any target, breaking apart their power.

The reward cap of 999,999 points meant nothing. It was just the system limit, not the true measure of that thing's strength.

Cael looked at the remains and brushed ash from his hands.

"Pah. White Devil. I gave you a chance, but you weren't worth shit. I didn't even want to fight you. Hell, I was thinking of changing my name to Whitebeard. But you just had to push it, now I'm stuck being Blackbeard."

Clap. Clap.

"Well done, Cael. I didn't expect you to actually kill a Primal." Guangxi applauded lightly.

"It was nothing." Cael rolled his wrist.

Then his eyes sharpened.

A flick of his hand.

A thin line of blood appeared across Guangxi's neck.

Her head flew off instantly.

Zhi Niang trembled as she caught Guangxi's head and hurriedly began stitching it back.

Tear.

Cael snatched the thread from her, calmly stitching Makima's body back together. He glanced at Guangxi with cold indifference.

"Thanks for the help. But I hate seeing anyone touch my woman. That little stunt just now, this is your return gift. And another thing, I never gave you permission to talk to me."

Killing a Primal had changed something in him.

There was no need to hold back anymore.

Even if the Darkness Devil showed up right now, it would still die.

Cael stood at the absolute peak of this world. In raw combat strength, no one came close.

In Hell, killing a Primal was proof enough.

"Let's head back to Tokyo and keep hunting Santa Claus."

Cael walked up to Princi, pulled open the zipper running down her body, and stepped inside while carrying Makima and Akai.
