"Huh?"
Kobeni Higashiyama froze.
Be her woman?
What the hell does that even mean?
Quanxi, you just killed someone, and you are a woman too, right?!
No, that's not even the point.
You just killed someone.
How are you this calm?
"I... I..."
Kobeni couldn't get the words out. Her throat felt tight, her mind completely scrambled.
Quanxi studied her quietly.
She had seen all kinds of women. From a single glance, she could already tell what kind of person Kobeni was.
Fearful, desperate, easy to corner.
That made things simple.
"Kobeni," Quanxi said, her voice soft.
"Be my woman."
"Come back to China with me."
"If you do, you won't have to live like this anymore."
"No more fear. No more anxiety."
"You'll have clothes you actually want to wear."
"You can eat whatever you like."
"And if you want something else, just say it."
"As long as you want it..."
"Even a rock from the moon isn't impossible."
"Eh?!" Pingtsi puffed her cheeks and clung to Quanxi's arm. "You're so biased, Quanxi. I want a rock from the moon too~"
Quanxi smiled faintly. "You'll all get one."
"Th-this..." Kobeni forced out a weak laugh. "Quanxi, we just met. Isn't this a bit too much?"
She was stalling.
There was no way she could agree to this.
This woman was insane.
She killed someone seconds ago and now she was talking about this like it was normal.
Nothing in life came for free.
And more importantly...
Kobeni was not into women.
"Feelings can grow," Quanxi said calmly, looking straight into her eyes. "Give me three days. I'll make you fall for me."
Crunch, crunch.
Long chewed through her burger, wrapper and all.
"Quanxi... mission..."
Quanxi waved her off. "It can wait."
A mission meant nothing compared to this.
Girls like Kobeni didn't show up often.
There was no way she would let her walk away.
Kobeni felt like her brain was melting.
What the hell is wrong with these people?
What am I supposed to do?
Why is a lesbian targeting me like this?
Just then...
Wooo, wooo, wooo.
Police sirens filled the air.
Quanxi turned her head toward the entrance, completely relaxed.
"Took them long enough. The police are slow."
Kobeni followed her gaze, her eyes lighting up with desperate hope.
Finally.
I'm saved.
Clatter, clatter.
Around a hundred Public Safety officers rushed into the restaurant, blades drawn.
Firearm restrictions had loosened recently, but they still moved in with swords out of habit.
"Fiends! Drop your weapons and surrender!"
Quanxi barely glanced at them.
"Ladies, handle it."
Pingtsi smiled.
"Of course."
In an instant, she pulled several daggers from her boots and threw them.
Puchi.
Clean hits.
Seven or eight officers dropped immediately, their throats pierced before they could react.
Pingtsi crossed her arms, looking pleased.
"You idiots even understand how outmatched you are?"
"Aaaah, damn it!"
The officers panicked and drew their guns.
"Ara?" Pingtsi tilted her head mockingly. "What are you saying? Sounds like praise to me."
"Shut up! If you're here, speak proper Japanese!"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
They fired.
They didn't care anymore.
Their own men were dying.
But before the bullets could land...
Boom.
A massive fireball erupted inside the restaurant.
The explosion tore through the building, melting half the interior.
More than half the officers burned alive instantly.
Screams filled the air as the survivors rolled on the ground, trying to put out the flames.
Long calmly brushed ash from her mouth.
"No one hurts Quanxi."
Cosmo stepped forward, her expression blank.
"Halloween!"
She crushed one officer's head under her foot, then grabbed a broken table leg and finished off the rest one by one.
Within minutes, the entire unit was wiped out.
Quanxi sat beside Kobeni like nothing had happened.
"See? We protected you again."
Kobeni stared at the burned bodies, the blood, the destruction.
Her whole body shook uncontrollably.
She felt like her soul was about to leave her body.
Please...
Anyone...
Help me...
Then she heard it.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Footsteps echoed through the smoke.
Five figures slowly emerged.
A rough male voice spoke.
"What a mess. Not every day you see a scene like this."
Another voice scoffed.
"My grandfather always said the things ruining this world are religion and idiots."
"These officers were idiots. They could have blown everything up from a distance, targets and hostages included, but instead they rushed in to die."
"Hey," another voice cut in, "weren't you and your grandfather yakuza? Isn't that basically the same thing?"
"Shut up!"
"The yakuza and religion are completely different!"
"The yakuza maintains order in Japan. It's a necessary evil."
"It's justice!"
"And don't call me that. You're younger than me."
A woman's voice cut through the argument.
"Speaking of age, I am older than all of you."
"Huh? How old?"
"Eighty-two."
"Damn, you're old."
The blonde woman snorted.
"Watch your mouth. I was chosen by God."
"My body doesn't age, and I cannot die. I am above ordinary humans."
Clap. Clap.
Kishibe stepped forward, applauding lightly.
"Spear, Katana, Sword, Whip. Enough talking. Get to work."
Not a single glance was given to the dead officers.
To them, it didn't matter.
The next force sent to stop Quanxi had arrived.
Special Division 5.
Spear Hybrid, Takehito.
Katana Hybrid, Mitsuru.
Sword Hybrid, Misato.
Whip Hybrid, Beatrice.
Kishibe tossed aside an empty bottle, his dull eyes settling on Quanxi.
"Been a while, Quanxi."
