". . . I'm not a man. Can't you see my body?"
Lyra showed her arm muscles.
"Liar. You're using a spell to disguise yourself."
Dorian almost spit on Lyra.
"My goddess is a woman—my savior."
Donkey chewed on Lyra's hair.
"Stop getting my hair all gross."
Dorian felt annoyed seeing Donkey support Lyra.
"My friend, you're being fooled."
Dorian started pulling Donkey away from Lyra.
While they were trying to kill each other, Seraphine came out of her hiding spot with her hands behind her back.
"Dorian, do you think I'm a man too?"
Dorian analyzed Seraphine for six seconds.
"Yes."
I've never heard anyone say a word so loud. It sounded like he was sentencing Seraphine to prison.
Seraphine jumped on Dorian and they started fighting.
"Fight, fight, fight!"
Donkey started cheering more and more.
"I bet Seraphine wins."
Lyra was eating a frog.
As for me, I'm in favor of equal rights.
"I'm betting on Seraphine."
Seraphine put Dorian in a headlock, but he bit her arm.
When Dorian got up, Seraphine kicked his legs, making him fall face-first into the dirt.
"I'm betting on Dorian."
It's not every day you see a battle like this.
"Cough, cough—"
"What do you think you're doing?"
Seraphine and Dorian demanded.
"We were…"
"Aaaah, let go of my tail, Dorian—my friend, help me!"
Lyra pulled Donkey.
"Hey, Dorian, what are you doing? Get off!"
Dorian had just climbed onto Donkey and—
"Let go of Donkey's tail or you'll feel justice."
Hey, Dorian, don't do that.
"Pervert."
Dorian dropped his pants and showed his white butt.
Lyra let go of Donkey and grabbed her bow, but something was missing.
"Hey, Seraphine, lower that arrow."
For a few seconds I got distracted, but it was enough for Seraphine to drive an arrow into the back of my neck.
We were just getting to know each other. Why did it end like this?
"Nice one, Dorian. I almost lost my precious little tail."
"High five, my brother—and don't forget that magazine."
I want to see that magazine too.
"Guys, help me get out of this mess."
They didn't even look at me.
"Seraphine, why are you doing this to me?"
She's practically stabbing me.
"Don't play dumb. You did nothing while those idiots were burying me."
She wasn't sleeping?
"How did you know I was sitting there if you fell asleep?"
"Ha ha."
Seraphine gave an evil laugh.
"Your hands gave you away."
My hands? Damn it, so that's it.
"Kaela, you pulled me out of that hole and invited me on a new adventure."
Seraphine let me go and started crying.
"Stop pretending you're crying. Even a baby does it better than you."
This girl thinks she can fool me.
"I saw you smiling while Donkey and Dorian were burying me."
Seraphine started drawing tic-tac-toe on the ground.
I bit my lips in rage.
"You fool."
I lunged into a fight with Seraphine.
While we traded slaps, Lyra watched.
"Boring. I just wanted to kill demons, and I'm here tolerating these children."
"Hey, Dorian, do I break it up or do you break it up?"
Dorian and Donkey watched us like they were seeing something forbidden.
"Break it up? Not yet. Kaela is almost taking off Seraphine's clothes."
Dorian watched with only one eye open.
"Dorian, are you hearing that?"
Lyra crouched and put her ear to the ground.
"I'm only hearing Kaela and Seraphine screaming."
Lyra grabbed Dorian's head to make him listen.
"The demons are coming."
Donkey did the same thing to listen.
"The only thing I'm hearing is my goddess's heart."
"Clown, get your ear off my back. . . Duck."
A sword flew by, slicing leaves and reflecting sunlight, and stopped after hitting a tree.
"Seraphine doesn't scream."
I whispered to her.
"So this is where you were."
An ogre appeared—but how, if everyone had been eliminated?
"Found you."
"Grrr!"
The ogre went crazy and started knocking down trees.
"Finally, some action. I was almost falling asleep."
Lyra, what are you doing?
"Bastard, you followed me."
Looks like Dorian knows the ogre.
"You all died."
Is that ogre after me?
"Help! Protect me, Donkey."
The ogre is after Dorian. Thank goodness.
"Hey, hey—me protect you? I'm not a war horse. I'm a wandering horse."
Dorian and Donkey hugged like two scared girls. The ogre started chasing them and they ran in circles.
"Seraphine, I need your help."
Damn it, this is not the time to nap.
"Cursed demon. I, Lyra Fluxart, will kill you like I did your brothers."
Lyra had climbed up the tree and . . .
"OOOOOHHHHHOOOO!"
Tarzan?
Lyra swung from the tree on a vine toward the demon.
"SMACK."
Ouch. That had to hurt.
