Slowly I opened the first page, my eyes immediately scanning the structured paragraphs. The document was thick, professionally prepared, the kind used for serious negotiations where nothing was left to chance.
My fingers moved slowly across the edge of the paper as I flipped another page. Legal language. Strategic clauses. Protection conditions. Ownership transfers.
This wasn't something written overnight.
This was prepared by someone who expected negotiations. Or someone who already knew what he wanted.
A faint breath left my lips.

I didn't read every word. I couldn't.
