After a week of waiting for the players, David finally released his masterpiece he had worked so hard for. If it failed David would be left with nothing, but if he succeeded his future was limitless!
"And... Done! Pokemon is released! Oh man, I'm so excited to see how the players will react!"
Just after David released the game to the public, a few players who were lurking on the new game category, found the game.
"Ha ha, I knew it! The studio wouldn't skimp out on us! I waited an hour for the release, let's pay, if its trash, I'll get a refund!"
This player's nickname was PainterMan, the same one from Watermelon's livestream!
"Alright, just need to install it... It's ready!"
PainterMan put on his VR glasses and chose to start Pokemon from his game library.
Pikachu Studio's logo flashed before his eyes and the screen became white.
Well hello there! Welcome to the world of Pokemon!
A old man in a white lab coat began appearing in front of PainterMan.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Professor Oak! And what would your name be?
"So I have to choose a name huh? Let's use my usual nickname PainterMan!
PainterMan? That's your name?
"Yes! Man, I wonder when this game starts."
That's a fine name! Now PainterMan, I have a request for you.
"What is it?"
To explain what it is, I'll have to talk to you about these fascinating creatures called Pokemon!
"Oh, they are explaining the setting now? Guess that's something that will be out of the way for later."
You see, a year ago, our world was a normal one. We believe that our universe and the Pokemon universe collided. This created rifts where Pokemon appeared all over the world!
"Wow, this is actually pretty deep!"
Pokemons possess many supernatural powers and to create these powers, they use elemental energy which seems to originate from the Pokemon's original world. We cannot seem to sense this energy naturally as a result.
"What does that mean?"
It means we cannot have superpowers, but we did learn something interesting.
"What is it?"
Pokemons seems to connect emotionally very easily, so from the beginning of the merge of our two worlds, many Pokemons and humans have formed bonds.
"So that's what you want from me? To make friends with Pokemon?"
Yes! You see, I am a researcher who studies these creatures. While I do want to see what the results of your friendship with a Pokemon would be, what I am really after is something else.
"So what's the goal then?"
My dream is to be able to catalogue all Pokemons! That is my true goal!
"So what's in it for me?"
I will give you a Pokemon with good potential to help you and you help me in return catalogue Pokemons you discover on your journey!
"Where are they?"
They are on the table right there!
PainterMan looked over and realized there actually was a table where upon three Pokemons were sitting. They were a green frog, a red lizard and a blue turtle.
These Pokemon each have an elemental attribute, or type for short. Be aware, fromthe research i've already conducted, each types have weaknesses and resistances. For example, Fire is weak to Water.
"So what are the types of Pokemons?"
I do not posses much information, but for the Pokemons infront of you, the green one is called Bulbasaur, it is a grass and poison type.
"They can have multiple types?
Yes, according to my research, Pokemon can have up to two elemental affinities. Pokemon of that type usually appears in rifts with more of that specific elemental energy. Moving on, the red one is called Charmander, a fire type.
"What about the blue one?"
Oh him? That's Squirtle, a water type. You can choose between the three of them, and then you can start your journey!
"Let me think for a moment... Okay! I'll take Squirtle!"
A fine choice! Here is his Pokeball! This item let's you store your Pokemon safely outside of battle. To get more information you'll need to find a gym or an outpost, they'll help you there! Alright! I've connected to your glasses wavelength, so when you want to know of your progress or information about the Pokemon you've captured, you can call me!

"So that was the introduction to the game, huh?"
At that moment, the surroundings became bright and PainterMan returned to his room.
"Huh? I'm back? I do have the Pokeball, let's try it out, come out Squirtle!"
After a flash, Squirtle appeared in front of PainterMan!
"Wow, that's so cool! So I guess the next course of actions would be to find a outpost, a gym or a rift to play the game!"
"Let's start the adventure Squirtle!"
