Jade had been sitting there for what felt like an eternity when he arrived. John and Eden had found her first, and truth be told, they seemed to have had quite a lot on their hands. Their shirts were slightly torn around the neck and sides, their ties were gone, and the earpieces that once hung from their ears were now broken. Eden's device was so damaged that he had thrown it on the floor when it stopped working.
John's device still worked, and with it he could communicate with Van and disclose their location.
"What did they do to you?" Eden asked for what felt like the hundredth time since he arrived, but Jade said nothing. She sat there, her eyes fixed on his, a cloud of tears gathering in them.
"Just let her be," John scoffed. "She will wake up from whatever stupid trance she is in when sir gets here. I don't know why he even indulges her."
