We were talking about what is going to happen now and then king Vallek came with King Nakul his nephew and king of Dahal who is under his regency until he turns 16 and become adult, which means for 6 years as he is 10 now.
"There is a diplomatic guest from Pratihar Empire for us", he declared.
Then a royal man of small height and stout figure brown short hair and thick beard and moustache with a clothing like all Hindu kings entered. Like the way he walked it felt from inside that he is a powerful man.
Then his introduction was given, "Vijayshakti, son of Maharaj Vakpati and brother of Maharaj Jayshakti of Chandel dynasty, Maharaj of Jejukabhukti, presents himself in front of his majesty as envoy of Pratihar Empire".
He greeted King Vallek, was given a seat, and started talking about his agreements, "Honorable King Vallek, I was sent by the imperial court to negotiate with you about the relations with the Empire".
He countinued, "So now as you are a independent king you must present yourself and give gift to emperor and legitimise your rule and recognise his majesty as the emperor of aryavart".
King Vellak replied, "With all due respect to Maharaj yourself and to emperor, I like My father recognise his majesty as the emperor of aryavart and his will sent my gift to emperor through you but I will not be able to present myself as I am busy running two kingdoms now but yes I will send my best men to present in court and pray to Mahadev for his majesty's good health".
This was not a answer King Vijayshakti wanted to hear.
"King Vellak you must reconsider because denying imperial orders will make your new sovereign kingdom in danger".
"I am not denying the orders just putting some changes that no one should be with problem".
"You really want to make the whole empire your enemy knowing your current condition".
Prince Mahendr intervened, "I don't want to interrupt conversation between two kings but as a future prince consort I must say that King Vallek can do things like this we know the current condition of his kingdoms".
Things begin to cool up and meeting was over we were ready to go but then King Vijayshakti suddenly looked at me and we made a eye contact for one minute straight then he made a smile I don't know weather it was devious, mischevious, warm, or passionate but that did made me think that will we ever become ally or enemy I don't know but we will surely meet again.
