"'The Rustling of the Forest'?" Mako muttered, puzzled.
"It means Yugi found his own way through," Kisaragi said.
Kaiba narrowed his eyes. "What do you mean?"
Kisaragi explained cleanly:
"'The Rustling of the Forest' flips one monster on the opponent's field face-down in Defense Position, then it can make a Field Spell on the field return to its owner's hand."
Kaiba's eyes widened. "Then that means—"
"Exactly. Submarine Ambush can't stop Atlantis from being returned to hand. It only protects against destruction."
The Ocean Vanishes
"Mako! By the effect of The Rustling of the Forest, I turn your 'Sea Dragon Lord – Leviathan' face-down, and your 'Legendary Ocean – Atlantis' returns to your hand!"
The seawater drained away.
"What?!" Mako stared as the tide retreated. "The sea… it's gone—!"
He clenched his teeth. "No problem! I've still got three monsters. If I survive this turn, the sea will return next turn!"
Yami Yugi smiled faintly. "So you're thinking you just need to endure my attacks this turn?"
"…Don't tell me you're ending me this turn?" Mako's voice tightened.
"That's right."
Yami Yugi Goes for the Kill
He slapped a card down.
"I activate the Spell 'Card of Sanctity'! By its effect, both players draw until they have six cards in hand!"
Kisaragi thought quietly: Here it is—this fake card again.
"Next, I set one card. Then I equip the Equip Spell 'Mage Power' to Dark Magician!"
"Mage Power increases the equipped monster's ATK/DEF by 500 × the number of Spells/Traps I control!"
"I have three Spells/Traps total—so Dark Magician gains 1500!"
Dark Magician (4000/3600)
Mako's voice shook. "A-Attack… 4000?! But even so, you only have one monster—one attack can't reduce me to zero!"
Yami Yugi raised another card.
"I activate 'Double Attack'! By discarding a monster, I select one of my monsters whose Level is lower than the discarded monster's Level—it can attack twice this turn!"
"I discard Black Luster Soldier—Level 8. Dark Magician is Level 7, so Dark Magician can attack twice!"
Mako's eyes went empty. "…No way…"
"And because you lost 'Sea,' The Legendary Fisherman can now be targeted for attacks!"
Battle Phase: Two Shots, Two Kills, Game Over
"Battle! Dark Magician attacks The Legendary Fisherman and Sea Dragon Lord! Dark Magic!"
Dark Magician fired two consecutive blasts—both monsters shattered.

Yami Yugi WIN! (Metal Stars: 10)
"YES! Yugi won!" Téa cheered.
"So he's the first of us to hit ten!" Joey said, pumped.
Mako handed over his six stars. "I lost… Here. Your duel was amazing—honestly, I shouldn't have challenged you. But I'm still glad I got to duel you!"
"You're a fine duelist. I'll accept your challenge again someday," Yami Yugi replied.
"Still hungry… I'm going to catch dinner!" Mako laughed—and dove straight back into the sea.
Kisaragi turned to Kaiba. "Yugi's confirmed to advance. Now it's your turn—don't slack off."
Kaiba snorted. "Of course. I'm not losing to him."
Pegasus Sends "Duel Assassins" — and a Fake Kisaragi Appears
The group crossed the forest and entered a clearing. A man in black—Pegasus's bodyguard—blocked their path.
Kisaragi stepped forward. "What is it? None of us should be disqualified yet."
"No misunderstanding, Miss Kisaragi. Pegasus has noticed that other duelists are too afraid to challenge your group, which makes it hard for you to collect Stars. So Industrial Illusions dispatched Duel Assassins across the island—defeating them also earns you Metal Stars."
"So you're here to arrange a duel?" Kisaragi asked.
"Yes."
Then—
A woman stepped out from behind him.
She looked exactly like Kisaragi… except her expression was darker, colder.
Kisaragi froze. "..."
"Everyone… I am the Duel Assassin sent by Industrial Illusions. My title is—"
SMASH.
A fist slammed into her face before she could finish.
"Filth," Kaiba said, voice like ice. "Who gave you permission to wear that face in front of me?"
Joey and Tristan snapped too—punches and kicks followed.
"Stop—STOP!" the "Kisaragi" screamed.
The disguise cracked.
Her body ballooned grotesquely, skin splitting—until a fat, pig-faced man burst out from inside.
"Ugh—gross!" Téa covered her mouth.
Even Kisaragi felt sick and reflexively covered hers.
She thought: So this is the guy from canon who impersonated Kaiba and dueled Yugi… and here he chose to impersonate me. Yeah—I get why Kaiba punched him on sight.
The man wheezed and grinned.
"Heh heh… rude of me. My name is The Masked Mimic—a Duel Assassin dispatched by Industrial Illusions. Now… I can challenge any one of you."
Kisaragi turned to Kaiba and calmly handed him four Metal Stars.
"Kaiba, you go. Since he's Industrial Illusions, you've got every reason to crush him—use your upgraded deck."
Kaiba took the stars, eyes sharp.
"Heh… That's exactly what I wanted to hear."
He stepped forward. "Then I'll accept your challenge."
"Fine," the Masked Mimic said.
A Duel Disk machine rose beside them.
Yami Yugi glanced around. "Feels like there's one of these machines everywhere on this island."
The Mimic laughed to himself. If I beat Seto Kaiba, I eliminate him—and drain that Kisaragi of a huge chunk of Stars too…
Kaiba's aura flared.
"Then taste the new power of my Blue-Eyes White Dragon!"
