They live in the same house. But don't talk to eachother anymore.
It's Kayushi's birthday! He is now officially 1 year old!

Kayushi claps his hands. He is happy(I guess. I don't know, I never saw a person in years. I am stuck in Maxell's basement. Help!!!!)

Doctor comes to checkup Kayushi.

Alexor: No, doctor.
Doctor: He needs to drink water 2-3 times a day. And here is the list of
medicines. After getting the tablets, feed him only the half of it. The full tablet could be dangerous for him. Soak a towel in water and place it on his forehead for now.
Alexor: okay doctor, thank you. Let me hold your bag.
Doctor: thanks.
After the doctor leaves
Alexor: oh crap. I need to get these medicines real quick!
Alexor went to the nearest pharmacy. And now he's back.
Alexor: Kayushi I am back! Linlin I am back—
He stopped.
Linlin was lying on the ground.
The house felt strangely quiet.
Alexor: Linlin?
No answer.
Kayushi was standing in front of her, frozen.
Alexor rushed forward and dropped to his knees.
Alexor: Linlin! Hey… get up.
He shook her gently.
Nothing.
Alexor: Linlin…?
His voice cracked.
Kayushi slowly stepped closer.
Kayushi: mo- mom…? 😢
Alexor placed his hand near her nose.
No breath.
He checked again.
Still nothing.
Alexor: No… no, no… Linlin wake up. Please! I am begging you.
For the first time in years, he sounded helpless.
Kayushi burst into tears.
Kayushi: Mom!!
Alexor pulled him into his arms.
Alexor: It's okay… it's okay…
But his hands were shaking.
The house felt empty.
Too empty.

Villagers gathered outside the house.
They weren't whispering anymore.
Neighbor 1: Auralis. We need to talk.
Alexor stepped outside.
Alexor: What do you want?
Neighbor 2: A girl from the hospital works here now. She said your son
killed his grandmother the day he was born.
Silence.
Neighbor 3: She said he used magic.
Neighbor 1: And now Linlin is dead too.
Kayushi stood behind Alexor, holding his shirt tightly.
Neighbor 2: We don't want trouble. We just don't want an Umbra in this
village.
Alexor: My wife just passed away.
Neighbor 3: That's exactly why we're here.
Neighbor 1: First the grandmother. Now Linlin. How long before someone
else dies?
Kayushi gripped his father's clothes tighter.
Neighbor 2: Take your son and leave.
Alexor looked at each of them.
No sympathy. No regret.
Just fear.

No one answered.
Alexor exhaled slowly.
Alexor: Fine. We'll leave.
Kayushi: Dad… are we going somewhere else?
Alexor forced a small smile.
Alexor: Yeah. Somewhere quiet.
The villagers stepped aside.
No one said goodbye. Alexor and Kayushi steps outside of the village.
Kayushi turned around one last time.
The house. The grave. The village.
Everything was getting smaller.
Kayushi: Dad… did I do something wrong?
Alexor stopped walking.
For a moment, he didn't answer.
Then he placed his hand on Kayushi's head.
Alexor: No.
But his voice wasn't certain.
The wind began to rise around them.
And far away…
