The first match was announced, Central academy versus Peak Oliver academy
First round, Sam Wilson versus Chris Lennon
The students made their way onto the stone ring in the center. They bowed to each other, and the the match commenced
Immediately, the air around Sam swirled, creating a vortex of air, before concentrating it on the tip of his finger

A deafening boom filled the sky, followed by the scream of particles as the air shot foward like a real bullet, tearing through the air mingling idly, it roared towards Chris, the sound was so sharp that the barrier around the ring screeched, so loudly the spectators were forced to cover their ears

Chris summoned all his might into a mighty Water vortex, one that spiraled at an unimaginable rate, the sound of the bullet was swallowed whole by the mighty tides of the waves generated by the vortex, the bullet drilled straight inside, from the outside, it was swallowed
Before anyone could react, the water burst, splashing every part of the barrier, soaking the two combatants, in the place of the vortex raged a tornado. It ripped the tiles off the ring, pulling the very air from the barrier
Sam snapped his fingers, smiling faintly.

He raised his other hand, then snapped
The tornado swirled with a shade of red, before igniting into an inferno, the barrier shook, before giving way as it started melting from its roof, mana drops hit the stone ring, melting off the edges

The air ionized in an instant, Chris collapsed to one knee, gasping for breath, his gaze grew foggy, the corners of his vision swallowed by darkness, before- silence
He collapsed, limp. Sam released his magic, the tornado evaporating up into the skies, drilling through the parts of the barrier that had painstakingly held on
Silence fell across the entire field, anticipation and eagerness frozen on everyone's faces- was that it? It had ended so quickly?
It wasn't until the announcer spoke, "Winner, President of Central academy, Sam Wilson" that everyone snapped out of their daze. They applauded loudly, cheering him on, he looked up, waved at everyone, then walked over to Chris, helping him up on his feet. "Sorry about that, better luck next time"
They walked down the ring, mages ran onto the field, repairing the ring and barrier for the next round, while reinforcing them, they clearly learnt from what had just happened
As Sam reached the door, he saw Aki walking towards the field, an earring dangling on his ear. "Goodluck Vp"
"Thanks. Great match, but showing off wasn't necessary"
"It wasn't about showing off, these combat suits are really draining, so prolonged fights are a terrible idea"
"Thanks for the tip"
The announcer announced the next match, the Central academy vice president, Aki versus the Peak Oliver academy vice president. Shaw Riverton
The two stepped onto the ring, Aki calmly assessed his opponent, and quickly realized that the person in front of him was much stronger than Chris, in his head, he hoped he wouldn't have to fight two of people like Shaw
"Begin" the announcer yelled through the microphone. Shaw took one step back, activating his power, the barrier darkened slightly, Aki could feel the disorienting feeling affecting him

The light in the barrier seemed to dim every second, so did Aki's sense of direction

His eyes glowed a Ruby shades of Red, the barrier, which had been dimming, suddenly flashed a brilliant white light, one that shone so brightly it stretched out the barrier
Using spatial detection, he could feel the vibration of Shaw's body on the ring

A sudden, series of heavy thuds erupted from inside the barrier, all happening so fast counting them was impossible, when the light faded, Shaw stood Clutching his stomach, bruising all over his body. Each movement he made ached with pain, as if ever body in his body had been raptured,
"Damn, you're good. I'll stop with the tricks"
"Alright" he raised his hand, causing the entire academy to begin shaking. His eyes shifted, going blue, much like back at the camp.

The whole city rumbled, the barrier shattered, the screens blacked out, before shattering, concrete cracked, and Shaw dropped flat on the ground, gritting his teeth as he desperately tried getting up
"Combatant, do you yield?!" The announcer was on his seat, amazed at the sight
Collapsing G, a special ability based off gravitational direction, the ability allows a gravity user to focus the gravity of a large mass to affect a separate entity more effectively, like setting the earth's G onto a specific object, making it seem like an magnified amount of Gravity while it is just the same gravity, but on a fixed point
'Dammit! I can't move!"
"I give up" he yelled out, still fighting to get up
"Winner. Central academy vice president, Aki Hoshino"
He released the magic, before covering his mouth. 'Shit, I overdid it, this limiter makes it impossible to use my full power. And I had to resort to using Prime to recreate the gravitational pull effect. So exhausting"
Prime. Usually channeled by Aki via Psycho series, is a universal constant, known as a record of phenomena, which allows for perfect and edited recreation of phenomena and effects in the universe, but requires high levels of understanding, as well as a strong enough nature core to survive its whiplash, existential natures are considered the best lowest/highest standard for using Prime safely, its whiplash include intense psychological collapsing, as well as temporary neurological failure if not executed correctly
Unluckily, he had made a mistake during the recreation, he could feel blood coming from his nose
The knowledge of how a universal force can be focused on one person while simultaneously still acting relatively normal across the entire globe was a tough concept he couldn't fully understand himself, leading to him experiencing whiplash
