Darkness….
Suffocating and all encompassing…
A darkness that seemed to draw you in and devour you…
That's where Raiden found himself suspended in when his hand came into contact with the technique…
He could feel it, a cold, otherworldly sensation running through his veins, trying yet failing miserably to devour his vitality….
The technique was trying to kill him, to deem him unworthy of itself, to drain the life force of the mortal that dared to lay hold to it..
"Humph" a cold snort rang across the darkness, and it recoiled…
"For a mere technique to be this bold and daring, it seems you truly believe yourself to be worthy of fearing by an agares?" He asked, his voice mocking and contemptuous…
The darkness, seemingly understanding the disdain in his voice, seethed, the draining feeling increased, and yet, Raiden remained unmoving…

The outside world…
Aaron watched, stunned, as his grandson was immediately cocooned in a haze of pitch black darkness…
The aura of death permeating throughout the underground library, prompting him to hurriedly use his aura and contain it…
As soon as the haze cleared, the situation revealed itself, and he couldn't help but be stunned..
There was his grandson, going through some macabre dance between shriveling up and regaining his vitality…
He realized what this was, the technique was trying to do to Raiden what it did to so many others, but it would seem it finally found it's maker in his grandson..
What's more, the unimaginable amount of pain that should come with such a situation, Raiden felt none of it, his {Pain Immunity} doing it's work masterfully…
Aaron smiled, relieved, finally, no more deaths…

Within the writhing darkness, Raiden stood, feeling the situation in his body, he let out a quiet scoff, and then..
"Submit" he said plainly…
The technique seethed, feeling it's ego challenged, "I realize you seem to have a conscious or will, so I shall not repeat myself"..
Saying this, his golden pupils burned with fervor, authority radiating off of him in horrifying waves, "you shall submit or creation shall forget you ever existed" his voice came out layered atop one another, as if it wasn't one person speaking, but multiple people through one voice….
The technique shuddered, yes, shuddered, it's resistance, waned until it stopped completely, and then..
DINGGG!!!
[Technique {Death Origin Sutra}(????????) comprehended…
Technique {Life Drain} has been acquired..
{Life Drain} : drains the vitality of your opponents and converts the life force of all beings into the purest essence of death…

Outside world…
As the internal struggle finally came to an end, Raiden opened his eyes to see his grandfather's expectant gaze…
He smiled, "Technique subdued" and said plainly….
"Hahahahahahahahaha" good, good…
"With this, we're ready for our departure" Aaron said..
"What are these plans you keep talking about grandpa" Raiden asked, getting up from his cross legged position…
"It's like I told you, it involves us traveling the world, facing off against challenges that'll sharpen your skills and mind, and then after that, we'll go demon hunting properly, show you what exactly our world is facing, and what exactly it is you're fighting for" Aaron told his grandson solemnly…
He wouldn't want his grandson going out into the world with a narrow vision, especially not when he plans on enrolling in Imperium Where the narrative might change to suite the academy's taste…
"Now come, tell me all about your technique"..
And so, they spent the next few hours talking, mostly just Raiden explaining the intricacies of his {Death Origin Sutra} and {Life Drain} techniques that seem to be part of a whole of the {Death Aura Refinement Technique}

Within a luxurious bathroom
Raiden sat at the edge of the bath, head leaning back between the legs of Myra, her thicc soft thighs caressing his cheeks as she sandwiched him between them thighs, as she softly and lovingly washed his Snow White hair…
Hahhhh~~~
He realesed a contented smile as he felt her gentle hands through his hair…
Myra, seeing the peaceful smile on his face, couldn't help smiling herself… until he spoke that is,
"Haaa~ I don't think I'll miss anything more than the way my little Myra takes care of me when I leave tomorrow" he said it offhandedly..
Myra's smile froze, a heartbreaking expression on her face, her hands slowing their movements…
Raiden, feeling her hands stop, opened his eyes, just in time for a single tear drop to land on his cheeks..
He immediately jolted upwards, and rushed towards Myra, seeing tears on her face, he panicked..
"This… what… Myra, what's wrong?" He asked, not knowing what to do..
Since the day he saw Myra in that alley, shaking, afraid, the moment he brought her home with him, he promised himself, never to let that innocent little girl, shed a tear again in her life…
Yet now, here she was, a heartbroken expression on her face, tear stricken…
He panicked, and then he heard her,
"Does young master not like Myra anymore?" She spoke in between sobs, trying and failing Miserably to prevent herself from choking on her sobs..
"Wha..what?"….
A/N: awww, my baby Myra is hurting, this douchebag Raiden better make her smile again…
After all, Myra is the best,, hmmm hmmmm…
Also I feel I should say this, the "system" is not actually a system, it's just the world's, Althea's, consciousness, recording and storing every awakened being's data, and showing it to them in such a format, making it easier to track your progress and direct which way of combat you wish to follow.
It DOES NOT help in leveling up or acquiring exp or anything like that…. Every awakened receives the same "system" from Althea…
Thanks for reading…
Don't forget to leave a comment and drop power stones, they're probably too heavy to be lugging about no?🙂
