"Mom, why are you bringing me lunch today?" Shikamaru Nara asked in surprise as he looked up from his pile of work and saw Yoshino Nara.
"Temari went to visit Teacher Kurenai. I saw she hadn't come back for a while and was worried you'd be hungry, so I made some food and brought it over," Yoshino said as she set the lunch on the table.
"Oh, I see. I've been too busy lately to visit Teacher Kurenai. You and Temari have been working hard," Shikamaru said apologetically.

"But you can't just stay out all day and never come home!" Yoshino said, eyes wide.

"Don't just humor me. Spend more time with Temari. Marital life is important. If you don't have children early, it'll be hard later," Yoshino advised.
"Mom, this kind of thing can't be rushed. Let's talk about it later," Shikamaru replied casually, continuing to eat and read reports.
