Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The 99% Rare Item – Thick Gift Crab!

Soon, the Cave Magic Slaves in the mine tunnel were swiftly and cleanly dealt with by Moon.

Lingling, meanwhile, was meticulously counting beside him:

"Fifty-one, fifty-two, fifty-three…"

"It should be all cleared out," Lingling said with satisfaction, clapping her hands.

"You two stay here and don't move. I'll go in and take a look," Wang Feng said, stepping over the demon beast corpses on the ground and walking deeper into the mine tunnel.

Mu Nujiao stood to the side, her expression somewhat dazed.

She had never imagined that clearing out a nest of demon beasts would be so simple.

She didn't even have the chance to make a move before the battle was already over.

"Little girl, are all you Hunters so decisive?" Mu Nujiao couldn't help but ask Lingling.

"Pretty much. Most of our Hunter Mages at Qingtian Hunter Agency are like this," Lingling said with a shrug, her tone relaxed.

Mu Nujiao nodded, her gaze involuntarily falling upon Moon.

"So cool. If only I could awaken the Summoning Element too…" Mu Nujiao thought, lost in a daze.

Just then, from the jungle not far behind her, a furry white arm suddenly stretched out, silently reaching for her neck.

"Mind Control!"

Crack—

As the horrifying sound of bones twisting echoed, Mu Nujiao finally reacted, quickly rolling forward before looking back.

She saw a three-meter-tall humanoid demon beast covered in white fur, its neck twisted into a pretzel shape, lying on the ground.

"Shannren! How could there be a Shannren here?!" Lingling exclaimed in shock at the sight.

Shannren were demon beasts skilled at mimicking human voices to hunt prey. They were extremely cruel, known for tearing victims apart alive.

Aside from a large Shannren tribe in Shennongjia, they were very rare elsewhere.

Mu Nujiao shivered, a chill running down her spine as she stared at the Shannren's arm that had almost touched her neck. A wave of lingering fear swept through her.

"Are you alright?" Wang Feng walked out of the mine tunnel, his voice laced with concern.

"I'm fine… Did you save me?" Mu Nujiao asked, a hint of gratitude in her voice.

"Besides me, who else here could save you?" Wang Feng replied with a faint smile.

Upon hearing this, Mu Nujiao's delicate face flushed slightly. She lowered her head, her voice soft as a mosquito's buzz:

"Thank you…"

Wang Feng turned and glared at Moon, a hint of reproach in his tone.

"Moon, the Shannren was practically on her face. Why didn't you act?"

"Woof~" Moon whimpered plaintively.

As if explaining that its sense of smell had been obscured by the smoke Lingling created, and it hadn't detected the Shannren's approach at all.

"Let's leave quickly. The appearance of a Shannren is no small matter—we need to report this to the Hunter Union," Lingling said seriously.

Wang Feng nodded, then took Lingling and Mu Nujiao, mounted Moon, and quickly left the mine tunnel.

Back outside the forest, Mu Nujiao breathed a sigh of relief when she saw her younger sister, Mu Nuxin, still waiting.

"Is it resolved?" Mu Nuxin asked.

"We've resolved the commission, but new problems have arisen," Lingling explained in detail about the appearance of the Shannren.

Mu Nuxin's expression changed slightly upon hearing the word Shannren.

Although she wasn't a Mage, she had long heard of the Shannren's infamous reputation.

"I understand. I'll report truthfully to the family when I return. The commission fee has already been transferred to your Hunter Agency's account," Mu Nuxin said.

"What about the rare item?" Wang Feng asked curiously.

He still wanted to know just how rare the "rare item" Mu Nuxin had guaranteed with her family's reputation really was.

It couldn't possibly be something like Spirit Seeds, could it?

"Ah, that. Sister, please take out the gift the Bai Family sent this morning," Mu Nuxin said with a smile.

Mu Nujiao froze for a moment but quickly reacted:

"Nuxin, you're not talking about…"

"Yes, that's the one," Mu Nuxin nodded.

A faint blush appeared on Mu Nujiao's fair, delicate face.

She gave Wang Feng and Lingling an apologetic look before pulling out a large foam box from her emerald-green spatial bracelet.

"This is the rare item my sister mentioned," Mu Nujiao said, a little embarrassed.

Lingling raised an eyebrow, ran over, and opened the foam box—only to see two enormous crabs lying inside.

Lingling froze for a moment, poked one of the massive crabs with her finger, then took a deep breath.

She blurted out.

"It's a 99% rare item, indeed~"

Wang Feng: ???

"No, what is this thing?" Wang Feng asked, dumbfounded.

"This is a type of crab born in the depths of the East Sea. Although it's not a demon beast, its meat can enhance a person's physique, so it's called a Thick Gift Crab," Mu Nuxin explained with a smile.

"Thick Gift Crab?" Wang Feng's eyes widened, and a thousand "Thick Gift Crabs" seemed to gallop through his mind.

"The meat of these crabs is delicious. You two can try them yourselves. My sister and I need to return to the family to report the Shannren matter. We look forward to our next collaboration."

Mu Nuxin bowed slightly to Wang Feng and Lingling before leaving with Mu Nujiao.

Wang Feng glanced at Lingling and asked:

"Is this thing really a rare item?"

"Sort of. I've only heard the name, but I don't think the Mu Family would lie to us. Let's each take one and bring them home to try," Lingling said, pointing to the basin-sized crabs in the box.

Wang Feng's mouth twitched, but he nodded helplessly.

"Bringing a big crab back… Xin Xia should be happy, right?" Wang Feng thought to himself.

Another month passed in the blink of an eye.

Wang Feng completed two more commissions at Qingtian Hunter Agency—one worth one million and another eight hundred thousand.

His savings finally reached four million (three million from the Mu Family commission, plus his shares from the recent jobs, along with previous savings).

Meanwhile, Wang's Medical Clinic had finally been renovated and officially opened!

However, after a few days, not a single patient had shown up.

"Is the Demon Capital this competitive? Not even one patient?" Wang Feng looked out at the hazy sky, somewhat lost in thought.

Just then, a middle-aged man with dark circles under his eyes, looking haggard, walked into the clinic.

But when he saw Wang Feng's youthful face, he immediately frowned and turned to leave.

A silver light flashed in Wang Feng's eyes.

The next second, the man sat down in front of him in a daze.

By the time he came to his senses, he was already seated. Feeling awkward, he bit the bullet and said:

"Doctor, I've been feeling unwell lately. Can you tell me what's wrong with me?"

Though he asked, he clearly didn't hold much hope.

In his opinion, the profession of physician required age. What experience could someone as young as Wang Feng possibly have?

"You have kidney deficiency," Wang Feng stated firmly.

"You have kidney deficiency! Your whole family has kidney deficiency! Quack!"

The man shot up in anger, slamming the table when he heard those words.

"I can cure it," Wang Feng said calmly.

The next second—

"Divine Doctor, how do you cure it?" The man instantly changed expression, smiling fawningly as he sat back down.

After seeing off the middle-aged man, who eagerly promised to promote Wang's Medical Clinic, Wang Feng looked at the newly acquired talent, his expression turning strange.
