Jee-shahn's massive demonic wings tore through the atmosphere, silencing the very
clouds as he banked hard toward the Left South. For the first time in a year, a
genuine, grim smile played on his lips. His heart—usually as stagnant as a dead
star—actually beats with the excitement of a man about to enter a world of absolute
silence, salt air, and zero responsibilities.
THWACK.
The silence was shattered by a sound like a hammer hitting a melon. A rock, barely
smaller than a man's fist, struck Jee-shahn squarely in the side of the face with the
force of a falling meteor.
The "Monster" didn't just stumble; he plummeted. He crashed into the forest floor
below, carving a trench through the dirt before coming to a halt. Jee-shahn stood up,
his vision swimming, rubbing his throbbing head with both hands.
"Who..." he growled, his voice vibrating with lethal intent. "Who dares to come
between me and my vacation?!"
He felt a sudden, icy weight on his shoulder. Jee-shahn's breath hitched. He turned
his head slowly, and his eyes widened in a look of pure, unadulterated terror.
Kneeling right beside him, her face only inches from his, was a woman with hair as
black as the void and skin as pale as mountain snow. She was wearing a smile that
could only be described as "creepy"—the kind of smile that promised a very long,
very cold death.
Jee-shahn froze, his legendary power completely useless against the sheer chill
radiating from her.
"It was me, beloved," Rin, the Snow Woman and his First Wife, whispered. Her voice
was like ice cracking in the dark.
Jee-shahn couldn't find his voice. For a long, paralyzed moment, they stayed in that
position—the strongest being in the world trembling before a woman who looked like
she was enjoying his fear.
Gaining a tiny spark of courage, Jee-shahn tried to shift his body away, but Rin was
faster. She reached out and grabbed his robes from the back, hauling him closer.
"Where," she hissed, her smile widening into something terrifying, "is our son?"
Jee-shahn blinked, his mind racing. He let out a dry, nervous cough. "Oh... him? I
think... I think he got lost. Just like you did, Rin."
Rin leaned in closer, her whisper vibrating in his ear. "I want my son. Find him. Bring
him back to me."
Jee-shahn began to sweat profusely, his head nodding so fast it was a blur. "Yes!
Right away! Lizard!"
The Azure Lizard poked its head out from Jee-shahn's hair, looking equally terrified.
Jee-shahn pointed a trembling finger at the creature. "See, beloved? This is the
Lizard. He is... uh... he's a professional! He's incredible at finding stuf! He'll lead the
way!"
Rin glanced at Jee-shahn, then at the shivering lizard, and then back at her husband.
Without a word, she gripped his collar and threw him into the sky with the strength of
a titan.
"DO NOT COME BACK UNTIL MY SON IS RETURNED TO ME!" she screamed.Jee-shahn tumbled through the air before finally managing to balance himself against
the wind. "But I'm on vacation!" he shouted down, his voice echoing. "And where do I
send him if I find him?!"
Rin looked up, her expression turning into a dark, knowing smirk. "Send him back to
where you've been living. And if I find out you ignored your son to go on a vacation...
you know exactly what will happen to you."
Jee-shahn felt a wave of literal goosebumps break out across his skin. Trying to buy
time, he shouted back, "But do you even know where I live?!"
WHIZ-CRACK.
Another rock whistled past his ear, nearly taking off his ponytail.
"Don't waste time!" Rin's voice boomed from the forest below. "I found you after three
years of searching the fourteen skies—I can easily find your little palace. Now, GO!"
Jee-shahn didn't say another word. He turned toward the South-East, his wings
beating with a frantic, desperate energy. He wasn't flying for leisure anymore; he was
flying for his life. In a flash of azure light, he vanished, leaving behind only the scent
of ozone and the cold, lingering presence of the First Wife
