Chapter 68 - [VOL 2] Side Story: Virella’s Weather

In the heart of a grand, emerald garden where the frost of Virella met the warmth of a

divine spring, a massive table was set for eight. Eight women from vastly diferentcorners of the world sat together, their laughter blending into a harmonious gossip

that defined the household's peace.

At the head sat Emiko, the divine mystery and first wife, her serene smile managing

the flow of tea. Beside her were Lupa, the fierce silver-haired protector and second

wife, and Yui, the Wolf-Kin Empress of Terragorn and third wife. Faeloria, the fourth

wife and Lioness-Kin Empress of Virella, watched over the table with a regal eye.

The remaining seats were filled by those whose futures were already entwined with

the Monster: the childish, hat-obsessed Empress Aiko; Kaori, the master goblin cook;

Tara, the towering 6.7-foot slime chef; and Shizuka, the blunt rōnin who mocked the

world with a sharp tongue. Though they were Empresses, warriors, and cooks, here

they spoke only as sisters.

Meanwhile, in the long shadows cast by the ancient trees, the next generation was

blooming with terrifying speed. Shin, Jee-shahn's blood-related son, sat in the grass.

Though only two years old, his ascendant intelligence and azure-glowing eyes made

him appear like a ten-year-old child already bending reality to his whims.

Nearby, Leo, the Lion-Kin son of Faeloria, moved through the air with a practice

sword. He was locked in a fierce duel with Sora, the energetic, shadow-moving

subordinate obsessed with "liberating" gold. Sora, acting as Jee-shahn's second

student, pushed the boy's limits while Ryuki, the son of Kaori and Jee-shahn's third

subordinate, watched the duel with disciplined silence.

On the outskirts of the training ground, Sparta the Lizardman—the fourth

subordinate—rested in the grass, enjoying the display of steel and shadow. Beside

him, the rōnin brothers Nogi and Masaru (Shizuka Brothers) cheered for every

successful parry. It was a moment of absolute stillness, a rare pocket of quiet for a

family built from the chaos of a 7-foot Monster.
