Chapter 65 - [VOL 2] CHAPTER 4 : PAGE 5

The air beneath Jee-shahn's massive, tattered demon wings was thick with the scent

of ozone and royal indignation. While the wings shielded the Suiseiryu Shrine, his

ears were under a diferent kind of assault. Jasmine, Mina, Liana, Yuna, and the three

brothers were mid-tirade, mocking his "heroic" entrance and hurling insults at his

back.

In the center of the noise, the High Priest lay silent on the ground. For a moment,

Jee-shahn felt a spark of respect—perhaps the father-in-law was the only one with the

dignity to be grateful. Then, the Priest took a ragged, loud breath.

"I haven't forgotten that you abandoned my daughter, son-in-law," the High Priest

wheezed, his voice dripping with spite. "You really are a cheap person".

Jee-shahn sighed, the sound vibrating through his 7-foot frame. "Lizard," he muttered

to the golden crown on his brow, "I thought this priest would be happy to see me. I

was wrong".

"Don't get your hopes up, Master," the Azure Lizard chirped, refusing to shift from its

crown form. "You broke those four ladies' hearts. This is what you get for having zero

regrets".

Before Jee-shahn could snap back at the lizard, the sky shrieked. The Seven Sins,

enraged by its failure, suddenly turned on its own army. The Elder Duke, his fleet, and

every possessed soul were instantly consumed, turning into dust and raw energy to

fuel the entity. The Seven Sins charged its signature Realm Destruction one more

time, aiming the terrifying mass of entropy directly at the monster who had dared to

stop it.

"Master, subject change!" the lizard yelled. "That thing still has some power left!"

The beam fired—a world-ending lance of violet light. Jee-shahn didn't move an inch;

his wings remained spread, shielding the Shrine and the ungrateful family behind him.

He simply raised his right hand. As the attack hit his palm, the energy didn't

explode—it was swallowed. In a single, silent gulp, Jee-shahn's hand consumed the

Seven Sins, its energy, and the black ink that had choked the Aurex ocean. The water

cleared instantly, returning to its crystalline blue.

Jee-shahn folded his massive wings back into their normal size and stood perfectly

still. He leaned his head slightly toward his hand. "Lizard... do you hear that?"

"Yes, Master," the crown replied. "I think that voice is coming from your left palm".

Jee-shahn's eyes widened as he looked at his hand. A sharp, toothy smile appeared

on his palm. "Hello, Master. Nice to meet you," the hand spoke with a chuckle. "I am

Draco, and I am your new body part".

"Gah!" Jee-shahn began shaking his hand violently, trying to fling the talking palm

away.

"Stop! Master, stop!" Draco screamed from his skin. "I'm not leaving you!"

"Fine!" Jee-shahn growled, his face a mask of frustration. "But when I'm relaxing, you

stay silent, just like the lizard!"

"Yes, Master," Draco chuckled.Jee-shahn looked toward the horizon. "Enough noise. I'm leaving". He stretched his

wings to take flight, but he never made it off the ground.

Behind him, Jasmine, Mina, Liana, and Yuna had formed a united front. Jasmine was

holding a heavy, broken staff like a club. In one synchronized, angry motion, they

smashed the rod over the back of the Monster's head.

"You're not going anywhere!" the sisters roared in union.

The Great Observer, the 7-foot King of Demons, and the savior of the Empire didn't

say a word. His eyes rolled back, and Jee-shahn fell face-first into the dirt, completely

fainted.
