"Fucking hell, how did you get these?" I asked, my eyes popping as I looked into the mini cooler. There were so many popsicles packed in there, nestled in ice, more than I could count at a glance.
We were both inside her car, the space feeling small and private. I was already working on a mango one, the cold sweetness cutting through the humid air.
"I didn't know which one you like, so I got different varieties," Princess said, watching me with a satisfied look. She started pointing them out one by one. "The fruity kinds, the creamy ones, vanilla… I think this one is spicy. I also bought them all in case you get mad or start crying. I get to take care of my mate friend just like how her brother takes care of her."
The moment those words left her mouth, I froze. My hand stopped halfway to my mouth, and I just paused to stare at her.
