Just as Bella finishes teasing her, the cafeteria door swing open again and this time - it's Jim . he's walking in with his squad - tall , loud and annoying as ever. Wait, he's holding something ,something glorious .A lunch bag. Irene's eyes sparkles."Food, my hero". Without thinking, she bolts across the cafeteria like she's been starving for years she approached jim totally forgetting her crimes Jim Held the bag up high and since he was naturally taller than her ,she couldn't reach the bag . But she didn't give up,she tried and tried until she gave up. He held out his phone in front of her face ,then she remembered her sins.
He asked to unlock it password but she lied that she forgot the password. then he told her She should forget about the lunch bag . "fine " she agreed and unlocked it sadly because her plan had just backfired at least it was worth a shot , she thought. untill.
She went to class. happily, Irene sits by the window opening the lunch bag dramatically and inside, she finds left overs.
Rice, Cold eggs and a piece of sad cabbage staring at her soul. Her entire world shattered." This is betrayal "she exclaimed as she sighs ,rests her hands on her chin and looks out the window like a pitiful puppy in a tragic music video. The breeze fluttered through her fringe as she whispered dramatically ."No food... no energy ...no pancakes " Then she spots him outside (yuan mi walking calmly across the courtyard ,the sun catching his perfect hair like a c-pop Idol commercial.
Her stomach growled, her eyes narrowed ,. "that's right... it's all your fault, pancake killer!" she muttered. Her glare could burn through glass. meanwhile, yuan glaces up , notices her and their eyes meets briefly. he tilts his head slightly -expression unreadable -and looks away and keeps walking .
"did he just ignore me? oh this is war." she declared and slammed her palm on the desk ." No way he's not getting away this time,! "she added. without another thought, she dashed out of class . down the hall she spotted yuan walking leisurely, headphones in totally ignoring the chaos the left in her stomach and her lunchbag.
she called out. " hey! you! pancake destroyer! (nothing)she frowned, puffed her cheeks and jogged faster.
"i said , I called you" she yelled. still no response. so she ran in front of him blocking his path waving both hands dramatically like a traffic warden then yuan finally stopped. raised an eyebrow, took off his headphones slowly.
The moment their eyes met, Irene felt her heart skip." oh no, why is he even more handsome up close? ".yuan blinked once, then ,( in his head he said " wasn't she terrified of me this morning? what's giving her courage now. )
He said nothing but started walking towards her. Irene instinctively stepped back until her back hit the wall. her heartbeat quickened."stop right there,I...I know kungfu" . He didn't even slow down. his eyes calm practically said show me. Irene panicked,threw her hands up in confusion and her nails lightly scratched his neck. everyone who was present held their breath and had their heart in their throats, thinking of what would happen to her,she was sure dead meat. he paused like a statue.she got frightened and started apologizing. "I-I-I'm really sorry,I , I didn't mean to" she stammered.
He leaned down slowly,face now just centimeters from hers. His voice dropped low and teasing. He smirked then whispered"careful, kitten. you might just scratch the wrong person someday".Her brain short-circuited. But by the time she processed what happened,he was already walking away-leaving her pressed against the wall, blushing furiously. Everyone else present was amazed and shocked to their bones.like did The yuan mi,aka cold just smirk ,tease and call some kitten. this was crazy .
Irene thought " kitten?!did he just - call me -KIT-uggh? She wanted to chase after him ,to yell but her knees were jelly. Her appetite vanished.
so she dragged herself back to class, holding her stomach dramatically.
Her life was over . Then suddenly a voice "hey Irene" . she turned. it was Leo, ( her crush, Jim's bestie 's younger brother) . He was standing there, smiling gently, holding a lunchbox. "uhm, Jim said you probably forgot to eat again ,so he asked me to bring this to you" leo informed .Her entire body froze."Jim, asked Leo to bring me food...?"her brain tried to process it. Her face went full tomato red. Leo concerned asked " you okay, you look kinda hot". "he thinks I'm totally hot " she thought."are you like I'll " he asked embarrassed. Irene panicked" N-no, I'm totally fine!just,uh... allergic to kindness!".
Leo chuckled softly and walked off leaving Irene clutching her cheeks like her heart was about to explode."this day is insane... 1st Jim,2nd a pancake killer,and now my crush thinks I'm dying of embarrassment. Later she went to class and lessons commenced.she promised to give yuan a piece of her mind.
