"But silver is really common. Isn't it?"
Both of them looked at me, then at each other.
Mary's expression cycled through several things at once before she finally turned to Zoe with the focused energy of someone who had just made a decision.
"Girl." She pointed at me. "Marry this rich man and you won't have to worry about anything for the rest of your life."
"Mary!" Zoe's face went red under the scarf.
"I'm sorry, I got carried away." Mary waved a hand through the air like she was dispersing the words. "Whatever, he can go through, go ahead."
"Thanks." I said, and pocketed the yo-yo.
We walked into the library, and I had to stop for a second when I actually looked at it.
