Chapter 35 - Act 2 Chapter 16 — Is that possible?

The blue sky was still clearly visible, the clouds moving calmly. Birds chirped and flew overhead towards their freedom, the sun was in the middle of shining its rays on the ground.

Under this blue sky, the Storm of Road was still lively and quite busy with people—that was what the red eyes of a man walking there saw.

The man remained silent as he walked, before finally stopping in the middle of the road.

"..."

He looked completely inconspicuous compared to the others, wearing a blue shirt unbuttoned, revealing a black undershirt. He wore a toolbox strapped to his waist, hidden beneath his shirt. He wore long gray pants and leather shoes with laces.

There was even a holder on the left side of his belt for a sword, where it was secured so it wouldn't slip out.

His brown hair fluttered in the wind.

He was Infori.

He looked up and saw the blue sky. It turned out to be a powerful energy beam beaming down from the sky, sending people running in fear and panic.

"What is that?!" "Woah!" "Run!"

Meanwhile, Infori—just stared silently at the energy.

The energy obscured his entire vision, leaving him with nothing but white, without any signs.

WOOSSHH!

As dawn touched the windowsill of Infori's inn with its yellow light, he felt it through his closed eyelids. He opened them, then heard the sound of birds chirping outside, and saw the wooden ceiling of his room, which felt cold to the touch.

Infori moved half his body to get up from his bed, still looking down, his eyelids still closed and unwilling to open.

He then looked up to see a small table and a wooden chair not far from his bed. Infori looked around, and thankfully, he was still in his room.

"Was that dream a vision of the future?" he muttered.

He then shifted to the left side of the bed to get up. He then lowered his legs and felt the cool wooden floor.

After standing fully beside the bed, Infori immediately walked to the window and stopped there. Infori then looked up and stared out the window.

The sky outside was a reddish glow because it was still dawn, the sun hadn't fully risen yet, but there was nothing there.

Infori began to wonder. (There's nothing... But, I'm sure there must have been something in the dream. But why?)

A few minutes later, Infori was wearing a blue shirt, but he left it unbuttoned, revealing his black undershirt. He also had a belt with about six small pockets tied around his waist.

He was wearing the same clothes he had worn in the dream, then suddenly glanced at his bag lying on the table. Infori considered whether or not to take it.

(Should I take it...)

Infori thought for a moment; he didn't want the hassle of carrying such a heavy bag while walking, and then he made his decision.

(No need, okay?)

He then walked to the door, opened it, and went outside to confirm the truth of his dream. Infori arrived on the first floor of the inn. The first floor only contained the usual inn essentials, such as a reception desk, tables, and chairs.

"Hey, Mr. Atziluth," a woman's voice called out softly, making Infori turn to his left.

Behind the desk, he saw a woman with wavy, light brown hair that reached her back and was wearing the typical receptionist uniform: a white, lacy blouse with a flowing collar, a black bow tie with a blue jewel in the center, and a short black skirt held up by black straps that stretched over her shoulders.

"Oh, Miss Ainword. Good morning."

"Morning~," she said softly and with a friendly smile.

(It was Miss Bianca Ainword. She was the receptionist at this inn.)

"Where are you going, Mr. Atziluth?" she asked.

(She had a beautiful, youthful face like a baby, even adding a touch of gentleness that was inherently hers. Her eyes were the same as mine, red like jewels.)

"Oh, I wanted to go out for some morning air," Infori replied with a faint smile. "Well, just taking a walk."

"Oh, I see. Okay," she said with a friendly smile. Miss Bianca Ainword had allowed her to go out early in the morning, just to make sure when she saw Infori wanting to go out.

"Then, I'll be going now."

"Yes~"

Infori then walked back, opened the door, and exited the inn.

The next moment, Infori arrived at Storm of Road, standing still in the middle of the road. She recalled what had happened in her dream earlier; the place was exactly the same.

"If I'm not mistaken, this is the place," he muttered, trying to confirm it.

(But, the differences might be a little noticeable here.)

Infori looked around.

(No one but me. Literally. Well, it's still early.)

Infori wondered again. "Will that dream really come true this afternoon? If it's a vision, maybe something unpleasant could happen later."

Infori thought of a worst-case scenario if everything in his dream came true and happened unexpectedly.

(If it happened...)
