Stunned, Maeve dropped her cutlery. "Wait, you are getting married tomorrow. That's so soon, I haven't prepared myself yet."
"Why would you need to get prepared? Not that it's you getting married." Fionn said nonchalantly.
"But I'm the maid of honor."
"Who named you?"
"Myself."
Fionn scoffed. "Forget anything as such. For now, it won't be the kind of marriage you have in mind."
"What!" Maeve exclaimed at the top of her voice.
"Hey," Fionn reached out, closing her mouth with his hand. "It's a public place, watch your tone." He said, looking around to make sure she hadn't called for attention. Luckily, everyone kept to their own business.
Maave forced his hand off her mouth. She got a napkin and wiped her mouth while looking at him with disdain. She huffed. "Does Kiara even want such a wedding?"
"She made the suggestion," Fionn replied proudly.
"No," Maeve refuted. "I know, and I'm sure you baited her into agreeing."
