Chapter 168 - Chapter 168: First Meeting with Hungry Wolf

Inside an alley in Z City.

Garou kicked a pebble by the roadside, hands in his pockets, utterly bored. Suddenly, he noticed a little boy squatting in the corner, crying.

"Hey, kid, what are you crying about?" Garou walked over impatiently.

Snot-nosed Brat looked up, teary-eyed, at the silver-haired weird uncle: "U-Uncle, do you know Watchman?"

"Watchman?" Garou raised an eyebrow, "Who's that?"

"It's Allen Gege!" Snot-nosed Brat sobbed, "The news says he's a bad guy... but I don't believe it!"

Garou's pupils constricted slightly. He squatted down, meeting the boy's gaze: "You mean Allen? Bang's other disciple?"

Snot-nosed Brat nodded, pulling a crumpled piece of paper from his pocket: "This is Allen Gege's phone number... He said if I saw a weird uncle with two spiky silver hairs on his head, to call him."

"Allen Gege said he's your Senior Brother, Bao Lang."

Garou stared at the words "Bao Lang" on the paper, veins throbbing on his forehead: "That bastard... how dare he mess with my name?!"

Snot-nosed Brat was startled by his expression and took a step back: "U-Uncle, do you know Allen Gege?"

Garou snatched the paper, gritting his teeth: "He's my dear Junior Brother I've never met! Where is he now?"

"The news says he's a bad guy." Snot-nosed Brat wiped his tears, "But I don't believe it! Allen Gege is clearly so good."

Garou suddenly stood up, his eyes under his silver hair glinting dangerously: "Kid, take me to him."

Snot-nosed Brat looked around hesitantly, "I don't know where he is either."

Garou irritably ran his hand through his hair, then noticed a string of numbers written on the back of the paper: "What's this?"

"This seems to be Allen Gege's phone number."

Garou stared at the phone number on the paper, his eyes under his silver hair glinting dangerously. He grabbed Snot-nosed Brat, his tone fierce: "Kid, lend me your phone!"

Snot-nosed Brat was scared to tears but still obediently pulled out his phone: "U-Uncle, what are you going to do?"

"Of course, I'm going to call and curse that bastard!" Garou's face flushed red as he angrily pressed the number, and the call quickly connected.

"Hello?" Allen's voice came through the receiver.

"Hello your head!" Garou exploded: "Who gave you permission to give me a nickname? And Bao Lang? Do you believe I'll come beat you to a pulp right now?!"

There was silence on the other end for a few seconds, then Allen's light laughter: "Oh, isn't this my dear Senior Brother? Finally got in touch with you."

Allen hadn't expected such a pleasant surprise before going to the Monster Association. He had been coveting Garou's almost abnormal learning ability. Giving Snot-nosed Brat his number was just a casual act, but he never thought he would actually show up today.

"Cut the act!" Garou's forehead veins throbbed.

"Where are you now? I need to properly greet my never-before-met Junior Brother!"

Allen's laughter came from the other end of the phone: "Don't rush, Senior Brother, I'll send you the address right away. But you have to be careful not to be targeted by the Hero Association."

"Your Junior Brother is an S-class wanted criminal now."

Garou snorted: "Less talk! Address!"

After hanging up, Garou stared at the location information on the phone, a sinister smile playing on his lips. He turned to Snot-nosed Brat: "Kid, go home. This is adult time now."

Snot-nosed Brat tugged at his clothes: "Uncle, are you going to find Allen Gege? Can I come with you?"

"Get lost!" Garou impatiently shook him off, "I don't have time to look after kids."

Watching Garou's retreating back, Snot-nosed Brat wiped his tears and still followed him.

Garou irritably shook off Snot-nosed Brat's hand, his eyes under his silver hair glinting dangerously: "Kid, don't get in the way!"

He turned and strode out of the alley, but heard pattering footsteps behind him. Snot-nosed Brat, wiping his tears, stubbornly followed three meters behind him.

"Tsk." Garou suddenly turned, startling Snot-nosed Brat into an abrupt stop.

"You insist on following, huh? Fine, then. Later, when you see your dear Allen Gege get beaten to a pulp by me, don't cry even harder."

Snot-nosed Brat puffed out his cheeks: "Allen Gege won't lose!"

Garou smirked, flexing his wrists: "Then we'll see."

Garou walked briskly ahead, while Snot-nosed Brat trotted behind, occasionally stumbling over pebbles on the roadside. Garou glanced back, impatiently clicking his tongue: "Kid, if you keep following me, I'll throw you in the trash can!"

"But... but I want to see Allen Gege, I want to ask him the truth." Snot-nosed Brat sniffled, his small hands clutching his clothes tightly.

Garou was about to erupt when he suddenly sensed something and sharply looked up at the alley entrance ahead. A strange figure was leaning against the wall, a black suit jacket under a gray trench coat, a faint smile on his lips.

"Yo, Senior Brother." Allen raised a hand in greeting, "You arrived faster than I expected."

Garou's silver hair instantly bristled, his fists cracking: "You bastard—!" He stomped hard on the ground, his body shooting towards Allen like a cannonball.

Allen calmly dodged, the soft force of the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist deflecting Garou's punch. At the same time, a light nudge with his right elbow made Garou lose his balance, stumbling a few steps before regaining his footing.

"Is that all?" Allen raised an eyebrow.

"Didn't Master Bang teach you how to fight?"

"Shut up!" Garou roared, his moves suddenly changing, becoming more ferocious. His punching style began to mimic Allen's previous moves, but with more of his own style incorporated, and his attack angles became increasingly tricky.

A hint of admiration flashed in Allen's eyes as he retreated and blocked: "You learn pretty fast."

The two exchanged blows rapidly in the alley, the sounds of fists and feet colliding incessantly. Snot-nosed Brat hid behind a trash can, his big eyes unblinkingly fixed on the battle.

"Bang!"

Garou was knocked back several steps by an elbow strike, his back hitting the wall heavily. He gasped for breath, fine beads of sweat appearing on his forehead, but the fighting spirit in his eyes grew stronger: "Again!"

Allen suddenly stopped, dusting off non-existent dust from his clothes: "Warm-up's over, Senior Brother. Interested in coming somewhere with me?"

Garou narrowed his eyes warily: "What trick are you trying to pull now?"

"The Monster Association," Allen said casually, "They invited me to join, and I think it would be more interesting to bring Senior Brother along."

"I heard you admire Monster, so what do you say, want to join?"
