Chapter 2 - 2: Stranger In A Strange World.

The first contact wasn't even light—it was sound. A deafening crack, like the sky itself being torn apart, echoed through New Central Park. The clash of Shazam's golden fury and Thor's azure tempest created a violent pulse that rippled across the city skyline.

The air around the collision point bent and warped, space itself seems to buckle under the strain of raw celestial power.

At the exact moment of impact, a sphere of blinding energy expanded outward—a fusion of gold and blue lightning that merged into an unstable halo of white.

Within that halo, tendrils of power snapped and twisted like living serpents, their clash releasing bursts of energy that scorched the earth below.

The trees around caught fire in an instant, some were even ripped from their roots.

As for the sky, the clouds did not only path—they were cleated out. A gaping hole opened, revealing a cloudless sky.

As bolts arced outward from the central impact point, they lashed everything in sight—streetlights exploding, cars, and metal twisted as if caught in a magnetic storm.

For a split second, the golden lightning of Shazam seemed to overpower Thor's, pushing it back with all his might—his magic forged from the pantheon of gods, and fueled by mortal will.

But then Thor roared as if summoning the raw, ancient wrath of Asgard's storms. His blue arcs darkened, thickened, and surged forward like an ocean wave.

The two forces merged in a violent equilibrium, neither dominant nor retreating. The center of the collusion grew hotter and brighter, converging and expanding with a strong electromagnetic force as time felt suspended between them. The shockwave finally erupted outward with cataclysmic force.

Everything went white as if a nuclear bomb had gone off, without it's destructive tendencies.

A rolling boom followed, delayed but powerful, racing outward in concentric waves that flattened nearby trees, and shattered glass in the distance.

The point where they met had become a miniature sun, blazing above the battlefield for several long, impossible seconds.

When the light finally dimmed, the aftermath was surreal. The epicenter had been carved into a crater, the ground melted into glassy ripples that reflected the stormy sky like a mirror. Golden and blue sparks still danced across the air, crackling lazily as if the energy itself refused to die.

"I am not your enemy." Shazam said to him.

"Then why do you attack us with monsters?" The man asked, looking at him with a more cautious look, his senses telling him he was no mere mortal.

"Monsters?" Shazam asked, confused. Then he heard a loud roar and as he looked to the sky, he saw a two legged winged creature resembling a wyvern. Then a green humanoid beast in blue pants leapt into the air and upon its back.

"I have nothing to do with that, nor do I know where I am." He answered the man gripping his hammer like he was running out of patience. Shazam couldn't help but watch as the green beast dealt blows to the winged beast and even ripping off one of it's wings.

"Wicked." He thought to himself in amusement as the sight looked like something straight out of a cartoon.

Scrutinizing him with suspicion but seeing he clearly was confused and not lying, the man asked. "You are yet to identify yourself, yet your power rival that of a god." For the moment he stopped his unwarranted assault.

"Are you friend or foe?" He asked him, he has clearly seen that there was something about this stranger's magic.

"I am neither." Shazam replied as both decended to the ground, earning himself a grunt in response. "My name is Captain Marvel." He proudly proclaimed with both hands reaching for his head as he took off the hood of his cape, revealing his face.

"I am Thor, god of thunder." He proudly introduced himself, tossing his hammer into his left hand as as they both reached out their hands for an hand shake, declaring a cease fire.

"A god, huh." He said outwardly but inside he was like, ''That's really cool.' He thought as a realization came to him.

"Wait." Shazam said suddenly as he began. "Thor, god of thunder, an hammer…" He voiced his thoughts as he seemed to put pieces together.

"You mean Thor, son of Odin?" He finally asked.

"Yes, I am." Thor proudly confirmed, not caring to ask how he knew about him because he knew anyone who has heard of Norse mythology, would most likely have heard his legend.

"Your magic is quite powerful, what are you?" Thor asked him, curious as to what he was, hoping that knowledge would help him make sense of why his power could rival that of a god like him, and maybe reveal his purpose there.

"I'm a sup—" He halted his words as Thor signaled him to hold on with a finger.

"How about we catch up later, I have more pressing matters at hand. How about you lend my team and I a hand with getting rid of those creatures." Thor suggested.

"Sure. It's not like I have anywhere to be at the moment." He replied.

"Good, we could surely use your power." Thor swung his hammer and flew off. "Nor do I have the faintess idea of where am at." Shazam muttered as he also took to the sky.

From up above he scoped the battle below and analized the creatures varied from humanoid monsters to beasts. "Holy cow!" He exclaimed at the sight of the swarm of monsters below.

"The ones fighting against the creatures are my comrades." As they neared the area, Thor yelled through the wind to inform him of who not to attack.

Both Shazan and Thor simultaneously decended into the mist of the horde of monsters as both landed with the power of lightening. With Thor's hammer striking the ground and Shazam who did the same but with his fist which was enveloped in lightening.

A sonic wave cleared the monsters in the area as both their lightenings swept through their immediate surroundings, scorching the monsters.

"Hey, watch it." A voice reveberated from the sky, looking up he saw a robot hovering in the sky, trying to regain his balance as he had been affected by the wave.

The robot's gaze lingered on him for a brief but noticable moment, before moving, flying around and blasting the creatures that were spreading further, attempting to go into either go into the streets or climbing buildings.

Shazam saw as Thor laced his hammer with sizzling blue lightening and then hurled it straight ahead. The hammer went on hitting every monster as if clearing a path, then suddenly it returned to it's owner's hand like a homing pigeon.

Witnessing that scene, he reached his arm to his jaw and gave it a rub as he remembered the hit from earlier.

He refocused himself and blasted a couple of the monsters with lightening, then moved on to zap around like a speedster, punching through monsters one after the other.

"Isn't that the guy Thor was fighting earlier? Why is he helping us?" Captain America asked through the comms as he bashed two monsters with his shield, sending them flying into others.

"I don't know but he's a big help." Black Widow replied first, shooting at multiple monsters with a customized laser gun and taking out close ranged ones with a blade.

"Seems like we've got another one of them sparkles on our hands." The man in the iron suit said through the comms, blasting at monsters from the sky.

"Didn't you ask Thor to take care of him?" Hawkeye asked through the comms, shooting at monsters with a variety of arrows which had different effects. One exploded upon contact with his target, another hit the chest of a monster and it shuddered as if being electrocuted.

"Yeah, well…the guy looked very sketchy with his hood and just happened to appear out of nowhere, looking around like he was scouting the battlefield." The man in the armored tech suit defended his actions as he glanced to see the man in the white cape taking care of monsters at super speed and with incredible strength.

"I don't like him." Hawkeye stated, observing Shazam through a scope.

"This is the first time you're seeing him." Black Widow pointed out, he had no reason to hate someone right off the bat.

"There's something about how fast he moves that just ticks me the wrong way for some reason." He replied, causing Black Widow to just role her eyes.

Shazam zapped below and above the battle field clearing out the swarm of creatures faster than the group of heroes ever could.

With most of the monsters down, Shazam remain floating in the air as he looked at a crack in the air, right at the center of Central park. It appeared to be the gateway of which the swarm of monsters were spooling through.

Slowly, he approached it mid air as he studied it. He could see some kind of magical aura emanating from it.

"What's he doing?" Captain America asked in general as they saw him appearing to be focused on something.

"Hey, bud. Why don't you come down there so we have a bit of a chat." As the guy in the tech suit called out to him in the air, a sudden gust of wind was felt in the area.

This caused Shazam to retreat a bit, and caused the man in the iron suit to halt his approach. "Get back!" Shazam warned.

Seconds later, there was a massive sucksion of wind. The heroes had to hold on to something to avoid being sucked along with the creatures being vacuumed into the cracked space.

Shazam was able to hold his own mid-air, while the man in the armored tech suit struggled as he used his blasters to push against the vacuum.

This went on not more than a minute long, resulting in the total retrieval of the army of monsters.

"I guess whoever sent those monsters or aliens, whatever they may be, didn't want them staying over after their defeat." Captain America grabbed on to his shield as he walked closer to the space, watching as the dimensional crack sealed up.

"Well, at least they cleaned up their mess." The man in the iron suit remarked, dropping down to the scene as they all rendezvous at the spot.

"Those weren't normal monsters, nor did they seem like aliens." Shazam said, still hovering above as his statement caught the attention of everyone, causing them to look his way.

"Sparkles, you know something about those things?" The man in the iron suit asked, the metals around the face of his iron suit reclined like fluids to reveal a cocked brow on his face.

"Not a clue…wait, did you just call me, Sparkles?" Shazam asked, a bit taken aback by a thought of realization. 'Oh, he's a man in a suit…not a robot.' He noted.

Considering his current predicament, he wondered if he should stay and have a chat with them in search of information that might help him figure out exactly where he was, or if he should just go off on his own.

Then there was the possibility they might take him captive to question him, considering he just appeared right in the midst of a somewhat invasion.

But then again, from what he saw, none of them would be able to actually put up a fight against him except for the thunder god, Thor. So he slowly descended to ground level but still remained levitated in the air.

"What do you know about those things?" He looked at the man asking this question and he wondered why his suit so much reminded him of the American flag, especially with the silver star and the same colors on the shield he was holding.

"Like I said, it's my first time seeing those things." He replied, watching as the rest of the team kept giving him looks of suspicion.

A sudden roar came from the green beast who prepared to take charge at him, but he was stopped by the female teammate who strangely seemed to talk him off his agitated state. In less than a minute, he reverted back into a half naked human.

"Cool." Shazam remarked.

"Who are you?" The cyborg looking man asked, calling back Shazam's attention as Thor joined them.

"You don't know who I am?" He asked in my attempt to confirm if he had simply moved through time with The Flash, or if he had somehow ended up in another dimension or possibly a parallel reality. He didn't know what to think and was utterly clueless as to the world he currently found himself in.

"Sorry your highness, but we have no clue who you are. Why don't you fill us in?" Iromman asked Shazam who could practically hear his half-assed sarcasm.

"I am…" His self introduction was interrupted by sudden sparks which appeared out of thin air between him and the team of heroes, forming a circle which expanded in size.

It revealed a different space within the confines of the circle's edge. A man in a red cape stepped through as the dimensional rift closed up behind him.
