Chapter 29 - Chapter 29- His Possession

Evelyn

Ohh Goddess. So finally, he fulfilled my wish. Today he wore black pants and a shirt, and he looked damn handsome. Was he even real? I stared at him in disbelief.

Damian's eyes turned red and I realized he was staring at me too, his gaze slowly roaming over my body.

My cheeks turned red. I cleared my throat, tried to shake his magnificent beauty out of my head.

"Are you done staring at me, my tyrant king?" I teased him, lifting a brow.

But I stilled when he shook his head slowly in denial, his red eyes never leaving mine.

"You look gorgeous, little wolf, his voice was low and husky. He stared at me a moment longer, drinking me in at his heart's content, then pulled me into his arms and gave a soft peck on my lips. I blushed deeply.

"Umm, thanks.. I am ready, just need to finish my makeup," I murmured against his chest.

He nodded and stepped inside my room, settling himself on the edge of the bed like he owned the place — well, technically, he did.

I turned back to the mirror and shivered the moment, when I felt his gaze staring at my back. He watched me in the reflection with that same burning intensity.

I finished my makeup quickly, my hands slightly unsteady, then turned to face him.

"I am ready now," I said softly, my eyes dropping to the ground. The weight of his stare made it impossible to meet his eyes, and on top of that, he looked devastatingly handsome.

I wanted to jump on him.

"What would I do if another man looks at you tonight, little wolf?" he said quietly, but dangerously.

I smiled and shrugged, "It is okay if they appreciate my beauty. It is not like they will touch me."

I said it casually. Normally. Like it was nothing.

But damn, his red eyes. He came closer to me and gripped my waist, his hold firm and possessive.

"I would kill every fucker who dares to look at you," he said, his jaw tight with barly controlled anger. Then something shifted in him. His grip softened slightly and his voice dropped, now more intimate. "Only I could admire you and touch you."

Before I could respond to him, he captured my lips into a long, deep kiss that stole every last bit of oxygen from my lungs. He finally pulled back, I blinked at him, breathless.

"Damn you, Damian, you ruined my lipstick," I muttered, pressing my fingers to my lips.

He just smiled like he did the great thing. I sighed, reapplied my lipstick and wiped the smear from his lips too. He stayed still while I did it, watching my face the entire time.

"You will not do such things," I warned him after seeing his extremely possessive side. Only he could touch me, shit he proved it when I didn't stop him from kissing me .

"This is for you," he said hesitantly, taking out a beautiful gold pendant from his pants pocket.

"Wow," I breathed, leaning in to look at it. It was small and elegant, delicate in a way I hadn't expected from him. "That is truly beautiful."

He smiled again. "Shall I put it on you?"

I hesitated for a second. Could I accept a gift from him?

'Of course you can. It is our mate's gift', Eva said happily and wagging her tail inside my head, she was happy of course.

I nodded. He stepped behind me and carefully draped the chain around my neck, his hands slightly brushing my neck. I bit my lips before I moaned.

"Let's go," I said quickly, needing to move before I did something embarrassing.

We made our way outside the castle together, Damian's hand resting on my lower back, guiding me.

His black car waited outside. Jacob stood beside it and bowed the moment he saw Damian.

"Jacob, you go. We are coming," Damian ordered. Jacob disappeared in a blur of motion, gone before I could blink.

We got into the car. Damian drove, one hand on the wheel, the other resting between us. 'Jacob is coming too', Eva murmured grumpily. I laughed before I could stop myself.

"What is funny, little wolf?" Damian asked.

"Nothing. I was talking to Eva," I said, still smiling.

"It must be good to always have someone living inside your mind," he said, and he sounded genuinely curious.

"It is, mostly. But sometimes she gives me headaches and takes over my senses," I said, remembering the memory when she went to Damian's room. Eva had the nerve to laugh at that.

We continued talking about each other. It felt warm having a conversation with him. Damian didn't feel as dangerous or broody as he had felt when I first met him.

It took at least an hour when we finally reached our destination.

We got out of the car. I stared at the big house that stood before us.

It didn't seem gloomy and old like the castle.

"Wow, the house is indeed like a human house," I said to Damian. My eyes roamed around. Some vampires stopped as they smelled me or felt my presence.

They snarled, their eyes turning red. Damian came closer to me and wrapped his arms around my waist. Those vampires looked scared, stepped back and bowed to him, but Damian ignored them. We then started walking inside the house.

"Little wolf, this is the last part of Shadow Land. From here, the human world is much closer. The houses of this land were built later."

Make sense.

We came inside and damn — the whole house was decorated with lights. They weren't that bright but were enough to fill the place with a glow close to a human vibe.

But the people — no, the vampires — who were guests spoke to each other with no expression on their faces, but they dressed up elegantly. When they saw me, their eyes turned red, like I was some kind of threat. Just like outside, I guessed they smelled me.

I was a werewolf — their sworn enemy after all. Eva grew more vigilant, scanning for any threat. But of course they couldn't do anything. Their king was standing with me. They all bowed at Damian.

I rolled my eyes, these people were so old fashioned.

My gaze shifted to Damian to tease him, but his gaze and whole personality were different now.

His arm was still on my waist, showing his possession, but he looked completely expressionless. Did this man have a personality disorder?

I shut my mouth. I had a feeling I was going to be bored here. Damian guided me forward. I spotted Jacob too — he stood at a corner, drinking blood. Shit, everyone was drinking that. Did they even have cold drinks or anything else?

No one dared to approach us. Well, I couldn't blame them. Damian's presence was intimidating at this moment.

Then suddenly I heard a very cold and dangerous voice.

"Well, well. Is that our king?"
