Hale-Ferguson Residence
Gabriel stepped out of a portal leading into the living room, shutting it behind him with a flick of his wrist. Valentine, who was waiting on a couch, straightened.
"Any luck?"
The space god shook his head. "Even though my spatial awareness already swept the entire damn planet, I caught no traces of him."
"And you're sure you meticulously sweet it through every other continent?"
"... Yes."
"The oceans? Maybe—"
"I searched everywhere, damn it!" Gabriel snapped. "Every damn corner of the world. And I still ended up going to some places I thought he might be in physically just to be sure."
Valentine huffed a breath, flinging his head back until his long black hair spilt behind the couch.
"Of all the bad things that could've happened with his abilities… why did he have to pick random disappearance?"
