~Pov: 3rd~ Three days later

Mason's eyes take on a purple color with a swirling, galaxy-like pattern as he watches Weiss holding her weapon at the floor of a dilapidated building and creates a door sized glyph under her heeled boots which slowly spins and flickers.
Shaking his head, Mason takes out a book and leaning against the wall to continue reading a book while creating a ring of flowing water over his head like a halo.
The sound of Weiss's glyph shattering causes Mason to glance up as she lets out a sigh before looking at the book Mason is reading with a raised brow.
Weiss: "What are you reading?"
Mason: "'An Introduction to Fluid Dynamics' by G.K. Batchelor. It's a science book on understanding flow patterns of liquids. Since I have a bit of Hydrokinesis from one of my rolls, I figured it'd help with controlling it."
As if to prove his point, his water halo morphs and swirls around itself to make a five loop star that flows with a steady pulse as if linked to his heartbeat.
Mason: "For my next book, I'll be reading 'Capillarity and Wetting Phenomena' by Pierre-Gilles de Gennes. Which'll help me with understanding surface tension, droplets, and capillary action."
Weiss: "I didn't know their where books like that? Do you think there are any books that'll help with my semblance?"
Mason: "Well, not on remnant. But your semblance is glyphs, so the only thing that could help you would be a magic circle guide. But I can't buy one from the shop since it has to connect to a world with magic in order to update its shelves"
Weiss walks over and holds her hand out as I move the water to hover and swirl over her palm as I shift it into a snowflake "When's the soonest you can connect to a magic filled world that would have one?"
Mason: "No Idea. The shop needs a full 3 months before it can link to another world, which in itself is a tall order since I'd have to get lucky when putting a code into the keypad that could take me to a magic or fantasy world"
Weiss looks down at the sky for a moment before she looks back to him "What about the gacha?"
Mason looked at her with blue eyes, with teardrop shaped pupils full of pity at the unknowable hell he had introduced her to "You really think you're lucky enough to get a magic book from a 'Chaos' gacha?"
Her smug smile was his only answer, causing Mason's eyes to turn an even deeper shade of blue before deciding that letting the gacha humble her was simply the only answer.
Opening the screen towards her, he let her use the two bronze tickets he had saved and sighed as her smile dropped along with her head into her hands as one of the bronze event horizons broke and faded to white while the other brightened to silver.

Walking closer, and patted her on the back Mason's eyes shifted back to his usual soft glowing amber. "Yeah, that's big sis gacha. You want something? It'll either give you something completely different, or tease you with something that's the same type as what you want."
Looking at the screen, he presses the bronze ticket and watches it roll while Weiss huffs and taps her foot against the ground while trying to use her summoning glyphs again which immediately shatters.

Silver Item - Regalia

<- --- ->
Mason: "See? Theirs no telling what this can or would give you, cause it's all a roll of the Noosphere~ Now come on! We got a car that can fly and theirs no better way to train than when your life is on the line~"
Weiss looks at him as if he said something stupid "That's not how training works. Properly swinging a sword and maintaining proper footing require actual lessons.
Shaking his head with a smile, Mason looks at her with a smug smirk "Weiss, You live in an anime. This is exactly how training works for worlds like yours. The more danger you're in, the quicker you figure out how to not die by getting creative~"
With a grin, Mason begins walking towards the Lounge, causing Weiss to sputter at how that shouldn't be possible before simply sighing as she remembers she's friends with a boy that lives between realities, and just deciding to follow along.
Entering the new section of the store, Mason whistles as his eyes flash a bright orange as he walks over to the Onix black car he's only seen through a game screen before now. []
Mason walks over and gently runs his hand along the side with a smile, "She's Beautiful~"
Weiss rolls her eyes at that, yes it's a very nice-looking car, but she just couldn't understand why guys made it out to be like a piece of artwork... Or maybe this is their equivalent to artwork?
Weiss: "Why do guys say that about cars? It's the same thing with always calling them she"
Looking up from the user manual of the Regalia, Mason tilted his head a bit before thinking on it for a second and then looking back to the car with a more somber smile.
Mason: "It's a story that you can physically touch. When guys look at a car like this, they can see the love and care put into the design. The way the frame was custom shaped to fit this one car, how many months or years went into building the parts necessary for her to function right, or the pure joy the creator must have felt when he turned that ignition and she sprung to life for the first time"
Wiess watches as Mason gently puts a hand on the hood of the car, and his eyes pulse with a gentle and radiant pink glow as his pupils look like they're made of crystals before moving over to the driver's side and opening the door.
Mason: "As for calling them she's? Well, both vehicles and women are strong, reliable, and expensive as hell to keep happy~ Now come on! We got training to do"
Sighing with a shake of her head, Weiss got into the car and put on her seatbelt before relaxing into the comfortable seats and looking to Mason as he started the car.
Weiss: "How are we going to get down there without authorization from Atlas? Unless you plan on having me answer when they contact us."
Mason: "Weiss... I say this in the kindest way possible... Your military is fucking terrible at its job and the equipment you have is just sad"
Weiss: "OI! Atlas is the most advanced military on the planet!"
Mason: "Yeah. This planet. Weiss, do you know what radar is?"
Weiss: "What?"
Mason: "That's the problem. Back home, we have devices that ping radio waves into the air that, when hitting an aircraft, bounce back and ping the plane on our screen to let us know the shape, size, and position of the aircraft."
Weiss: "Incredible... With that, we could detect Nevermore before they could interfere with shipments or rescue operations!"
Mason: "And it can also keep track of unauthorized flights in the area~ Say a group of two people in a flying car going to and from the city without notice~"
Weiss begins to realize that the so-called greatest military may only apply to this planet, causing Mason to chuckle as he switches the Regalia to flight mode.
Weiss: "Shut up and drive"
A hangar door forms in front of them and opens to the sky of Atlas, allowing Mason to pilot the car forward and down to the forests of Mantle below without a single ping or alert from atlas.

Weiss brings up her blade to block the strike of a Beowolf and uses the power behind it to backflip over another trying to sneak attack her, before landing on a third's shoulders and stabbing it through the back of the neck and jumping off and bringing up a ring of glyphs to protect her while catching her breath.
Mason: "Boo! At least take one hit. How are you supposed to get tougher if you don't get a few cuts or bruises?"
Her eye twitches as she tries to stay concentrated on maintaining the glyphs around her and repair them as they begin to crack from the attacks of the remaining three Beowolfs.
Weiss: "Will you shush! And I don't care how many times you say it. Getting beat close to death is not a way to train!"
Mason huffs before shrugging and stomping his foot on the rock he's standing on to flash freeze a stray beowolf trying to climb it, and turning it into a sculpture like the pack of ten plus the Alpha next to it.

Mason: "Fine... I'll just say stuff to slot into the back of your mind while you fight. Leason 1~ A fight isn't about swords; it's about who learns and adapts first."
Weiss narrows her eyes as she forms a wind glyph under her before being bounced into the air and readies herself, causing Mason to smile as Weiss begins to fall and blocks the attack of a beowolf jumping at her before using another Wind glyph to rebound the Grimm away and push her into a backflip to the ground.
Mason: "Leason 2~ Alway's have a retreat plan. Even if you know it's something you can win against because it's easy. The lowest level enemies can always have hidden move sets"
Weiss flips to dodge a beowolf that dug under the snow aiming at her legs, only to raise an ice glyph as another beowolf try'd to attack from her side, pushing her back against a tree with a smile before rolling to the side causing a beowolfs claw to get stuck in the bark.
Mason: "Leason 3~ Never assume your enemy has one gimmick in their fighting style. Things are rarely as simple as they appear, so always think outside the box."
Bringing up her sword, Weiss grins as she shoots the Grimm with fire dust as a wind glyph appears under it, causing a small twister of flames to cook the Beowolf to death.
Her eyes widened for a second before crouching under a swipe to her neck and responding with a new black and yellow glyph under her handle to launch her sword through its chest, killing it.
Before spinning on her heels to axe kick the last beowolf's head into the ground, blowing up snow as a distraction to move over to her sword and jumping into the air to land onto the downed beowolf and drive her sword though it's head.

Falling to her knees in the snow, Weiss ignored the cold as she tried to catch her breath while looking at her hands in confusion at what had just happened while the smile on her face calming to confusion at what she had just done.
Weiss: "What was that? I felt my heart beating in my ears, and it was like everything was slowed, but my focus was on 11"
Mason walks over with a smile while leaning forward to hold his hand out to help her stand while pulling her weapon out of the snow.
Mason: "That, my friend, was called the flow state~ When someone is enjoying and so focused on a fight that everything else becomes mute. It's a little something in our brain that helps us not die when our focus and will are locked on 'Winning'."
Weiss grabs the weapon before looking at Mason with narrowed eyes. "Is that why you were annoying me the entire way here? You were trying to make me stressed enough to go into that flow state?"
Mason: "What?~ Me telling you stories on SCPs, horrors more dangerous than Grimm, and how sad your military is had nothing to do with my training~"
Mason's smile and fake hurt voice made Weiss's eye twitch before taking a deep breath and turning around to follow the path to the regalia, deciding ignoring him was better than continuing this conversation.
Mason: "I don't know why you're going to the car like you could drive it~ On the plus side, I got a silver and gold ticket for teaching you how to be a normal anime protagonist and apparently that last attack you did~"
Weiss: "Hush and get to the car! I don't want to hear your 'Winnings' at my expense"
Chuckling at her mood, Mason catches up to her, before unlocking the doors, and getting into the driver's seat, and turns on the heating as she gets in and puts her weapon in the back seat, and huffing.
Weiss: "Are we going back to Atlas?"
Mason: "Not if you don't want to. We can fly around for a bit and explore if you don't want to sit in the lounge"
Weiss thinks to herself for a moment before slowly nodding to the idea and looking out the window, causing Mason to smile as he opens the roll screen and puts in the copper and gold ticket, deciding to save the silvers for a gold or if he get's bored.

Weiss: "Why are you so happy all of a sudden"
Mason: "I got one of my childhood robots as a familiar. The CIS is the perfect group to put Atlas down when it comes to mass produced droids"
Weiss stares at him for a second more before dropping it with a shake of her head as she looks out the window and the floating mass of Atlas in the distance while Mason Pilots the Regalia off the ground to fly more north into the mountains to see what they could find.
Weiss: "Hey Mason. What was that thing I did with my glyphs when fighting the last two Grimm?"
Mason thinks for a second before his eyes flash purple and he smiles, "Tell me something, Weiss. When you were about to kill that Grimm, what was going through your head?"
Weiss: "Well, it was a spur of , so I can't give an accurate answer. But all I remember is my mind going, Wind isn't powerful enough, I need something more powerful... And then i just did it"
Mason nods along for a second before his eyes narrow and shift purple as he spots something near the bottom of a mountain.
Mason: "Hey Weiss. Do Atlas have any basses this far out?"
Weiss: "No. Atlas forbids facilities this far from civilization because of Grimm activity, making repairs too expensive and leaving prototype technology for bandits to take is a risk they aren't willing to take"
Mason: "Looks like someone didn't get that memo" Narrowing his eyes, Mason lands the Regalia on the ground and points to what should be the entrance of what he could see was supposed to be a hidden facility as they both get put of the car.
Weiss: "This shouldn't be... What is this?"
Looking at the massive hole in the steel blast doors and glowing green liquid staining the sharp bits of metal.
Mason: "Whatever was being done here. It's clear that it broke out and is now running around. We need to go in there and find as much about this as possible."
With a snap of his fingers, two B2-battle droids step out of a bronze hangar door that appears behind him and take both of their sides on lookout. []
The two look at each other with a nod before all walking into the facility with caution as they step over loose wires, collapsed areas, and past pools of the same glowing green liquid at the entrance.
As the two make it to an area that's not too damaged housing a functional computer, Mason begins to use his
Weiss: "What is this stuff? It's not a liquid state of dust, but at the same time it's acting as a conduit for some of the power cables around the place. Are there any creatures that could slip in with you when you link to a dimension with green blood?"
Mason: "The only one that comes to mind is called a Xenomorph. Its blood is acidic, though, so it would've eaten through the metal floors here already... Ha, I'm in! It's a report, come listen to this"
{M-Log #652} {Those fools! They denied my experiments! Claimed that my research is to costly with no form of evidence! I've expanded Grimm research by decades before I even got funding. I've spent most of my life trying to show them how futile their floating city is against the darkness coming... And they called me insane... Fine. They think I'm crazy; I'll prove to them how my research was the only thing keeping them alive} {Warning! Mass Containment Breach! Eclipse Facility Emergency lockdown Activated!}
Weiss: "Grimm research, Eclipse facility, what were they researching that could burst through Steel blast shields of this place like low grade titanium?"
B2-Droid: "Alert! Rapid movement approaching current position"
Mason: "Looks like we're about to find out. B2s, you two stay back and provide cover fire. Weiss, you're with me on the offence"
B2-Droids: Roger, Roger"
Mason flicks his Mantis Blades out of his wrists as he gets low for a lunge; Weiss spins the cylinder of her blade, which clicks to fire dust as she takes a fencing stance; and the twin B2-droids aim their wrist blasters at the door as the sounds of scrapping claws and roars get closer.
