On the west side of Manhattan Island in New York City, a rectangular area roughly bounded by 59th Street to the north, 34th Street to the south, Eighth Avenue to the east, and the Hudson River to the west, lies the infamous Hell's Kitchen.
In its early days, Hell's Kitchen was a notorious slum in Manhattan, primarily populated by Irish immigrant laborers. It was known for its dilapidated living conditions, frequent ethnic conflicts, and high crime rates.
Due to its notorious reputation, property values in Hell's Kitchen remained low, and rents were affordable. Moreover, the area's proximity to Broadway, a renowned center for performing arts, attracted many aspiring artists who came to New York to pursue their dreams. Many of them lived in Hell's Kitchen before they made their big break.
The meeting place for Handsome's online girlfriend was on the outskirts of Hell's Kitchen.
The following afternoon,
Handsome, now transformed into a blonde-haired handsome man, stood at the agreed-upon spot wearing a white suit and holding a bouquet of roses. His striking features, well-defined physique, and commanding aura quickly drew the attention of many women.
Unfortunately, Handsome was a rather devoted person (or beast). He disdainfully ignored the flirtatious glances of these common women, nervously awaiting his Xiao Luo.
Before long, a golden-haired little girl with twin ponytails appeared in Handsome's line of sight.
*She's here, she's here!*
*So nervous.*
This was Handsome's first time meeting an online friend in person, and coupled with his guilty conscience, his body felt stiff and awkward.
"You're the most dazzling guy on Skull Island? You're even more handsome than I imagined!"
The golden-haired girl looked at the dapper Handsome, seemingly satisfied—or rather, her expectations had been exceeded. It was as if she had seen the prince from a fairy tale, and her heart fluttered.
"That's me, Xiao Luo. You look stunning today."
Handsome smiled shyly.
In the distance, Han Shaoqing and Wanda sat at a coffee shop, observing Handsome from afar.
When the golden-haired girl appeared, Han Shaoqing muttered, "That little girl is Handsome's online girlfriend. She looks familiar..."
Wanda gave him a look of mock annoyance. "You find every pretty girl familiar."
"But she's a bit too young. I should talk to Handsome later and make sure he doesn't do anything inappropriate."
"Don't worry, Handsome has his limits."
As Han Shaoqing spoke, he studied the golden-haired girl again. "I remember now—she's Chloë Grace Moretz, codenamed Hit-Girl."
"Hit-Girl? Is she a mutant?" Wanda asked.
"No, she's just an ordinary person. Her father was a cop who hated criminals. When he realized the law couldn't punish all of them, he quit and took matters into his own hands."
"Hit-Girl started training with Big Daddy at a young age, learning all sorts of combat skills. She traveled everywhere, taking down criminal gangs and became a ruthless killer at a tender age."
Recalling the plot of *Kick-Ass*, Han Shaoqing briefly explained Hit-Girl's background.
Hit-Girl was a dark hero who championed the weak and oppressed. She loved researching weapons and knew all about firearms.
At night, she hunted criminals with Big Daddy.
By day, she maintained the image of a well-behaved girl to outsiders.
Now, under the Transfiguration Charm, Handsome looked about fifteen years old, but his tall stature created a striking contrast with Hit-Girl's height of only 1.2 meters, resulting in a charmingly mismatched pair.
Hit-Girl and Handsome hit it off immediately. Before long, they were holding hands and strolling through the shops.
Hidden in the shadows, a middle-aged man watched them, seething with anger. "Who is this brat, daring to flirt with my daughter?"
The man was none other than Hit-Girl's father, Big Daddy.
He had noticed his daughter smiling foolishly at her phone lately and sensed something was up.
His suspicions were confirmed when he followed her today and discovered someone was "making a move on his precious cabbage."
Big Daddy wasn't unreasonable, but his daughter was only twelve years old.
"No way, I have to find a way to make that brat back off."
With this resolve, Big Daddy planned to find an opportunity to speak with Handsome alone, to teach him what fatherly love truly meant.
"Who's that guy? He's been following Handsome and the others for a long time," Wanda remarked, noticing Big Daddy's presence and feeling curious.
"He's Hit-Girl's father," Han Shaoqing replied.
"No wonder. I thought he looked familiar," Wanda said.
Remembering how her father, Eric, had secretly tried to sabotage her relationship with Han Shaoqing, Wanda couldn't help but smile.
Meanwhile, Handsome, remembering Han Shaoqing's words, continued to buy things for Hit-Girl all the way.
Having spent decades with the X-Men, Handsome was familiar with human life, but he had no concept of money.
After all, there was no need for money on Skull Island.
He truly spent money like water, buying so many things for Hit-Girl that he didn't know where to put them all.
Young, rich, handsome, commanding, and willing to spend money on her—these qualities made Hit-Girl beam with delight, her smile stretching from ear to ear.
She wasn't a materialistic woman, but who wouldn't want a boyfriend who was willing to spend money on them?
Big Daddy, who was lurking in the shadows and tailing them, gritted his teeth in frustration, wishing he could kick Handsome into next week.
This gave Handsome a constant chill down his spine.
After window-shopping for a while, Handsome and Hit-Girl entered a movie theater. Han Shaoqing and Wanda, who had been trailing them and gossiping along the way, followed suit.
Big Daddy settled into the seat next to them.
Naturally, nothing Big Daddy did escaped Han Shaoqing's notice. Fortunately, though Big Daddy was the same actor as Ghost Rider, he wasn't the Spirit of Vengeance. Otherwise, Han Shaoqing might have feared he'd suddenly cackle maniacally and transform into a skeletal frame.
Unaware that Han Shaoqing and Wanda were Handsome's parents, Big Daddy watched them nervously. He wasn't afraid of them using force. He had plenty of confidence in Hit-Girl as his daughter, but he worried she might be too naive and fall for the guy's tricks!
Truth be told, Big Daddy was fairly satisfied with Handsome's qualities across the board. But his daughter was still too young. If the guy dared to make any inappropriate moves, he'd unleash a fatherly strike without hesitation.
When Handsome and the others came out of the movie theater, it was already dark.
Just then, Han Shaoqing's ears caught a desperate cry for help.
"Help me!"
"There's a monster! Run!"
*Boom!*
Piercing screams and the sound of an explosion echoed through the air.
Han Shaoqing's senses were exceptionally acute. His ears could automatically filter out most irrelevant information, focusing instead on crucial sounds and words.
While not quite as all-encompassing as Superman's global range, he could still cover an entire state.
The source of the commotion wasn't far away; most people could see the distant glow of the explosion.
Moments later, a massive, yellow, humanoid monster leaped from a skyscraper, its impact causing the ground to tremble slightly.
The creature's face was grotesque, its three-meter-tall body covered in bone spurs. Its steel-like muscles, combined with its ferocious appearance, were enough to inspire terror.
