The capital came alive after dark.
Away from the pristine surroundings of the Luna's estate, the city of the werewolf capital hummed with a rougher, louder and excited energy. The entertainment district was a sprawling stretch of wide, torch-lit roads lined with elegant establishments, their arched windows glowing warm with firelight and the sound of laughter and music spilling out into the streets.
Vendors with decorated carts sold spiced meats, honeyed pastries and steaming drinks to groups of wolves who moved between the various buildings and shops.
The Iron Matron sat at the heart of it all.
A grand, two-storied establishment. Inside, the main floor was alive with noise and warmth. Polished wooden floors, beautiful seating, and bright lights that cast everything in a golden glow. The bar stretched the full length of the back wall, stocked with bottles that glittered like jewels.
