Chapter 64 - Time for training

In heaven…

"But Lord, Lio, Lyra, Aelira, and Arthur aren't even walking the path of a fighter anymore," Michael said.

"I understand that, Michael, but my father's will is absolute, and my father's will is to test Aerin and to test Aerin's family's ability to fight. I have no say in what happens," Léōn replied.

"So you are just going to let all the fallen angels out of their chains to wreak havoc on Earth?" Michael replied.

"No, that is why Aerin will train his family for a week," Léōn replied.

"And how sure are you that Aerin won't get involved himself?" Michael asked.

"First, let me ask you this, Michael. Do you really think Aerin sees a bunch of fallen angels as a threat?" Léōn replied.

"No, but Aerin also loves his family too much to let them get hurt," Michael replied.

"So you really think that beings so weak as to not be able to leave Earth for millions of years would stand a chance against Aerin's family if they were trained and empowered by him when he has done things no other human could?" Léōn said as his tone turned serious.

Back to Earth…

Alright guys, we need to talk.

Come here, Arthur, you need to hear this too.

"Alright, we are all here. What's up?" Lio asked.

It's time for me to train you guys.

"What do you mean?" Lyra asked.

I mean there is a threat that will be unleashed in a week, and you four will have to fight them without me.

"You four? You mean to tell me you are expecting our child to fight. Ha, you've officially lost it," Aelira said in frustration.

You don't have a choice, and neither does he.

"Oh, really?"

Aelira got up and tried to walk away, but Aerin snapped, and her body froze and returned to the sofa.

I'm sorry, hunny. You have to do this. You know I love you, and that's why this is going to happen. I have my hands tied myself, and to be honest, I would just wipe the threats off the face of the planet with a snap, but I can't.

"Why can't you?" Aelira asked, concerned.

Because The Absolute wills it!

"But why?" Aelira asked, beginning to cry.

I don't know, but I can tell you everything will be okay in the end, I promise.

I can't speak for The Absolute, but I can tell you the things I know about him.

The Absolute is a being of infinite mercy, infinite love, infinite peace, and infinite wisdom. But he is dangerous, to put it lightly. His love is intense and brutal; it will beat you down till you can no longer resist it. I can speak from experience.

I cannot stand against his will, and neither can you. So the best option for both of us is for you guys to fight, and if worst comes to worst, I'll resurrect you, and you can keep fighting after.

I have my hands tied, I'm sorry.

Then Aerin snapped his fingers and released Aelira…

"Can you really train us to beat these enemies in one week?" Arthur asked, confused about the whole situation.

Sure I can, little man. Don't you trust your father?

"I do, but I've never fought before," Arthur said.

Well then, I'll make it to where you can.

"Alright, I'm ready!" Arthur said as his expression changed to that of determination.

"If Arthur is doing this, then so are we, right Lyra?" Lio said as he got up.

"Right!" Lyra replied.

"I'm going to trust you on this," Aelira said as she stood up like everyone else.

Okay, your training starts tomorrow at dawn. So get some rest.

The next day at dawn…

Alright, first things first, we need to get you all back into shape.

"But how are we supposed to do that in a week?" Lio asked.

Who said I would train you in a week?

"Well, you did," Arthur replied, confused.

Think again, I said I could train you to beat the enemy in a week. I didn't say time would flow all week.

"What do you mean?" Lyra asked.

You'll see.

Then Aerin snapped, and time froze across the entire universe, and the only things that could still move were him and his family…

Now, look at the clouds, the sun, and the trees.

"What! They aren't moving? How?" Lio said, perplexed.

I stopped all movement in the universe except for us. Time doesn't flow anymore.

"Well, that's one way to get the job done," Lyra said.

"So how long will this really take?" Aelira asked.

Give or take 50 years.

"What the hell!" Lyra, Lio, and Aelira yelled.

Chill out, you won't age, don't worry.

Plus, I've trained longer than time before.

Anyway, let's get started.

Give me 500,000 pushups, 800,000 sit ups, and 500,000 squats.

What kind of brutal training is Aerin going to put his family through? What enemies are they going to face? Find out soon…
