The three groups landed on Upper Yard from the east, west, and north.
A clap of thunder struck, and the God's Trial began!
...
A scream cut through the sky as a knight in armor with a spear dove down from the floating island above, heading straight for the north.
His ride was a pegasus... bird...
Well.
It was a Sky Island-specific animal that ate the Horse-Horse Fruit, Model: Pegasus—a Sky-Point Bird named Pierre.
Though it looked a bit funny, it could both be ridden and fly, turning Gan Fall into a true "Sky Knight."
After landing, Gan Fall joined up with his Sky Island guard team.
The captain of the guard came forward, a soldier with a scar on his face, wearing a white uniform and a white beret.
He saluted Gan Fall and said in a deep voice, "The White Beret Special Forces, four squads of one hundred people, are ready!"
The White Berets were one of the stronger groups in the Sky Island guard, using special arrows made of Cloud Shells and special boots made of Wind Shells as their main weapons.
In a possible future, Enel would beat Gan Fall and become the new God of Sky Island. The White Berets would see Enel's power and be forced to obey him, becoming one of Sky Island's law enforcement groups.
But now, the White Berets were completely loyal to Gan Fall.
After listening to Gan Fall explain the so-called "God's Trial," the White Beret captain said in a deep voice, "The White Berets will drive out all enemies who invade God's Island!"
But Gan Fall shook his head.
He looked serious and worried. "I understand how you feel, but just you... even with me, we can't win against those two 'monsters'!"
One was world-shaking lightning; the other was endless sand.
Gan Fall had never seen such terrible power!
"For those two, this God's Trial is just a game."
Gan Fall sighed, then clenched his fist. "We have to fight with everything we have!"
The White Berets were surprised by Gan Fall's strong feeling. They had never seen the kind old man so angry.
The captain came forward and bowed. "God, we will follow your orders. What do you want us to do?"
Gan Fall narrowed his eyes and said in a deep voice, "Contact the Shandians."
The Shandians were the original people of this God's Island, Upper Yard.
...
Upper Yard, west side, beach, the God's Enforcers base.
The four God's Enforcers had already landed and were waiting with their men.
They had learned the basics from Enel's lightning code.
The forest-fat Satori, round like a ball, made a strange noise.
"Hoo-oo! Things seem to have changed. Besides us and the Sky Island guard, there's a group of Blue Sea people on this island!"
Shura, nicknamed "Heavenly Knight," adjusted his gear and grinned. "So, do we take out the Sky Island guard first, or the Blue Sea people?"
Ohm, the Enforcer with the long sword, pushed up his sunglasses and said in a deep voice, "Let's wait for God's orders."
The three looked at the last Enforcer, Gedatsu, a man in a purple suit with hair like spider legs.
Surely he, who hadn't spoken, had something important to say?
... No.
Gedatsu had just forgotten how to breathe.
He was biting his lip, his face turning purple.
His helper quickly said, "Lord Gedatsu, don't forget to breathe!"
"Huff!"
Hearing this, Gedatsu opened his mouth and breathed, then shouted, "I can take out those Blue Sea people by myself!"
"Fool, don't embarrass God."
Ohm was the strongest of the four Enforcers, and also the cruelest.
"I told you, God will guide us."
He looked up at the sky and saw a special symbol made of lightning, a message from Enel.
As Enforcers, they knew how terrible Enel was.
With his Mind Reading power, even here, their every move was known to Enel. This was "knowing everything"!
So, the entire Upper Yard was like a clear game board to Enel. He could see everything everyone did.
"No trick, either from the Blue Sea people or the Sky Island people, can hide from God's eyes!"
Ohm said in a deep voice, "They have no chance!"
Then, led by their Enforcers, the God's Enforcer teams hurried to the east side of Upper Yard.
Following the lightning guide, that was their first goal!
...
Upper Yard, east side.
This was the Four Seas Alliance base, near the coast cliff, surrounded by thick forest.
There were many experienced fighters in the group, and Bell quickly figured out the situation.
"Stay alert. The enemy might attack from the forest cover!"
Crocodile, smoking a cigarette, stood up and stretched out a sand blade from his elbow.
"Why not just cut down these messy trees?"
Crocodile was about to move when he suddenly saw a wave of sand.
The others looked back at Crocodile, but Crocodile frowned.
"Why are you looking at me? I didn't do it."
Slowly, the sand formed a figure, Rowan's shape.
"Lord Ancestor?"
The others watched as the sand Rowan sat down where Crocodile had been sitting, then made a quiet sand table.
In the sand table, a group of little people were moving quickly from the west to the east, where they were now.
"Someone's coming! Get ready to fight!"
At Bell's order, the others quickly formed a defense.
...
On the floating island.
"Oh?"
Enel raised an eyebrow.
With his Mind Reading power, Enel noticed Rowan's move and stroked his chin.
"Hmm, it's a power I haven't seen before. Do you also have something like Mind Reading?"
Enel laughed loudly. "Ye-hahaha! That's interesting! You must have sent a battle plan to your friends down there!"
"Compared to that old, foolish God, I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do, Blue Sea person!"
Enel was still very arrogant.
But Rowan just shook his head and said slowly,
"Actually, that's not a battle plan."
"Hmm?" Enel was surprised.
Rowan began to mutter, "One Natural power user, two Animal power users, a squad of one hundred elite soldiers, a Fish-Man warrior group, plus a complete medical team..."
"Facing, two enemy sides with over one hundred each."
Rowan lowered his head, his low laugh echoing on the floating island.
"To be honest, I haven't fought with such a rich team in a long time!"
"Do you know, Little Lightning—"
Rowan looked up and smiled at the surprised Enel.
"This isn't a 'war' at all."
...
Normal reasons wouldn't move the unhappy Crocodile.
So Rowan only wrote one piece of advice in his letter to Crocodile:
"Tell everyone, have fun ~?"
