Chapter 26 - The First Hybrid Awakening

The Primordial King shrunk himself down in size, perfect for fighting, as a dimensional rift appeared next to him. He reaches into this blackened purple-ish colored rift as he then pulls out a sword of a large blade.

His blade handle was a black wrapping over a red-ish color underneath with a large, demonic tsuba that extended outwards, with a very wide, but heavy blade.

Yuki had stood across the Primordial King as he twirled his sword around which acted as warm-ups.

The silence was loud, while Arthur stood far away to watch the fight. At that point, Yuki vanished completely with silent footsteps. Through a fast maneuver, Yuki appeared behind the Primordial King.

Just from his movement, it caused a gust of wind to blow towards the Primordial King, though he had his sword up, already blocked the attack.

Primordial King: Phantom Step... an advanced demonic spell that could confuse and disorient the enemy... interesting.

Yuki had vanished again, though as he appeared above the Primordial King, he swung Amyrix.

The Primordial King turned around quickly as he swung his large blade, but it phased through him like he wasn't there.

He soon later to suddenly reappear in front of him then swings towards the center of his body.

The Primordial King had blocked the attack immediately, leading into the clash.

The shockwave of the clash had caused the infinite space-time continuum within Hell to shatter.

Yuki: The Primordial King.. let's see how powerful you really are...

They continued to clash, but then Yuki broke the clash as he stepped back.

Primordial King: Is that all? I wonder how much power you have in that blade of you—

He was cut off as Yuki threw his sword at his eyes. Amyrix had completely pierced through the Primordial King's eyes as he then goes for a punch to the abdomen, though his hand breaks.

Yuki: ...I see, you're made out of hard concrete then... concrete here is different from Earth's concrete, right?

Primordial King ripped out the blade from his eyes and tossed it back towards Yuki.

Primordial King: It was made out of a specific material which I solidify into hard concrete.

Yuki catches Amyrix by the handle and twirled his sword to get the blood off. The Primordial King regenerates his eyes instantly.

In Arthur's eyes, they weren't moving too fast nor too slow. They still looked like blurs moving around.

Yuki continued clashing with the Primordial King as Hell is starting to crack. With a single swing of the Amyrix blade, it severed the Primordial King completely plus the infinite-sized Hell.

Everything vanished and became nothing. Though the Primordial King, with a single snap of his fingers, rebuilt all of Hell.

That was when Yuki had an idea. The Primordial King noticed the expression on Yuki's face, but was unsure about his plan.

He charged towards Arthur instead of the Primordial King, and with a single touch, he had copied all of Arthur's abilities.

Primordial King: What the hell do you think you're doing...? Copying others magic spells to win...?

Yuki: You'll find out soon enough...

He charged towards the Primordial King, though through his eyes, he had found an opening to Yuki's attack.

In that instant, he had dashed forward as Yuki landed behind him. Blood gushed outwards as his arms falls onto the ground.

He winced in pain as Amyrix falls onto the floor. Yuki slowly started to sweat from how painful it was, though he showed nothing.

He kicked up the Amyrix blade and caught it with his mouth.

Primordial King: He's not dead...? I'm sure that would've decapitated him.. that's fine...

Yuki's body was adapting to the pain as he leaped forward and swings with the blade in his mouth.

The Primordial King blocked the attack, but the attack from Amyrix the Stardust Blade, had sent him flying a few feet, then he landed.

Yuki is slowly panting a bit as he sweats more in agony. Blood dripping from his severed arms as he stood there, and let the sword collapsed.

Yuki: ...If I die here... you're coming with me.. that was my promise...

Of course, Arthur—a mindless puppet now—stood there watching, and the thought of the Primordial King losing, was something that offended him.

Arthur charged towards Yuki and kicked him with full strength. Though he had blocked with his leg, but still skidding across the hard floor. The impact caused his leg to completely shatter, and the skidding caused his ribs to break in multiple pieces from how hard he is hitting the floor.

He had laid there, unable to move. As he tried to stand up on one leg, he feels his bones puncturing his lungs.

Primordial King: Good puppet...

He stood there, bleeding out. That was when there was one final idea Yuki had wanted to try using for awhile.

He vanished completely.

Primordial King: He can move still...? So stubborn...

Yuki appeared in front of the Primordial King, now using his mouth to aggressively and violently bite into his concrete skin, imbued by angelic mana. His strength was then enhanced drastically due to his mothers side.

Then there were loud cracking of the bones within the Primordial King as he violently bites deeply into his skin as much as he could.

The primordial king, however, was now screaming in pain and agony. It was Hell for him. Arthur stood there with silence as the Primordial King then pierced Yuki in the abdomnen, ripping out his skeleton.

Yuki had finally died off, though something was wrong with the Primordial King.

Primordial King: What the hell...? My body, it burns... it burns!

His body explodes into nothing immediately due to how much angelic mana he had injected into the Primordial King's body, now having Yuki and the Primordial King dead.

Both bodies collapsed, as Arthur regained his consciousness, now alive finally. He examined the area and noticed Yuki and the Primordial King's body. His eyes widened in disbelief and shock.

Arthur: Kiddo... you did it.. you did something I had failed to do. I'm so proud of you...

Yuki: I've done it... I took the Primordial King down with me... but what now...?

He was left alone with his thoughts, as his soul had now entered Heaven. Kris was sitting there waiting for him.

Arthur had tears flow down his cheeks as he hugged Yuki's body.

Kris: Welcome back Yuki, how did it go?

Yuki: ...Died. The Primordial King ripped my entire skeleton out...

Kris' smile had faltered as it was slowly being filled with concern. She glanced at him and sighed.

Kris: It's alright... you'll get stronger.

Yuki nodded as he started roaming around with Kris. As they go around, Kris had immediately remembered something she wanted to say.

Kris: So there's this cup of immortality up here in Heaven you can drink, apparently it's called the Hydor Athanátou.

Yuki: Hydor Athanátou...?

He questioned her as Kris started to explain everything.

Time went by as she finished with her explanation that was heavily detailed as he processed everything.

Yuki: A cup that grants immortality...? I get to be my old self again too due to the effects of appearance reversal as well..

Kris: Exactly!

They roamed around Heaven, until they noticed a stall that sells off heavenly drinks.

They walk up to the stall runner and as they ordered the Hydor Athanátou, Yuki immediately took the cup and glanced at it.

The liquid was a heavenly white, gold-ish liquid.

Kris: Don't drink all of it, it would give you immortality, but each sip adds a layer of immortality.

Yuki had already started drinking all of it. A magical aura surrounded Yuki, then as it dispersed, he had now looked like his 15 year old self again.

Back in Hell, Arthur had sat there with not much left to live for. He sat there, holding Yuki's lifeless body, but has yet to realize his soul went into Heaven.

Arthur—a father who abandoned his child for protection—had not realized the amount of times Yuki had died.

He then took out an angelic weapon Pricia had given him in case he needed it to kill the Primordial King. Arthur's hand trembled in fear as he twirls the dagger around.

Arthur: Yuki... I wish you the best of luck..

While Arthur was stuck in Hell, Yuki sat down with Kris. They both sat there in awkward silence.

Kris: Your aura is different. It doesn't feel chaotic like Hell and doesn't feel heavenly like Heaven.. it's more in between.

Yuki stared at the sky and sighed deeply, having thoughts in his head. He glanced at her in the eyes.

Yuki: I wonder something...

Kris: Hm?

Yuki: Why haven't I known this...? I realized too late it seems...

His quiet soft tone had sent shivers down Kris' spine as she glanced forward. She then rests her head on his shoulder.

Kris: Let's not think about that. You can stop fighting and take a break, let's just.. have fun with our lives before going back into battle, yeah?

Yuki was intrigued by the offer and nodded as they both stood up.

Years later, Yuki—who is mentally around his 50s to 60s—and Kris had arrived on Earth as Heavenly Spirits, the only thing they had done was found a home, lived together and tried enjoying their lives for the first time.
