Chapter 2 - Ch-2 Legendary Parents

Having two of the Legendary Sannin as parents was a fun and amusing spectacle. Despite their differences and disagreements, Jiraiya and Tsunade got along well. Ryuma was confused about the state of their relationship at first.

It seems that they are not married, nor have they made any such plans. And as a matter of fact, Ryuma learned that he was indeed correct in his assumption that he was born as an accident. Just as he had predicted, the two of them got really drunk one night and did the deed, which later ended up with Tsunade getting pregnant.

Tsunade remembered the moment vividly. When she and Jiraiya got absolutely shit-faces and ended up spending the night with each other. When she woke up next to him the next day, naked and with a splitting hangover, she felt naturally irritable. She did lash out on him. She was mad at the pervy sage, but she knew he meant no harm. She was also mad at herself for allowing such an incident to even happen.

Their drunken states did not spare them the blame. And Tsunade, being as powerful as she was, shares equal accountability and responsibility over that incident.

The idea Jiraiya bedded her was already crazy enough. But the fact that she ended up pregnant with his child was even more so. She remembered the tantrum she threw when she found out. She also remembered the complicated expression on Jiraiya's when she told him about it.

He did apologise to her, profusely. Blaming himself for the situation, he promised to take responsibility. But Tsunade didn't force any of them blame onto him.

Instead, she was quite happy.

Happy that she had become a mother. After the wars and bloodshed, all the people that she loved and all her relatives had perished. As a matter of fact, she was the last remaining Senju in the world. The idea of being a mother and having a child was wonderful to her. She could have a family again.

She vowed to take good care of her child when they were born. She would be the best mother they could ask for. She would teach them everything, guide them and support them. Even train them in the art of combat. And Jiraiya was willing to stay behind and help her, ignoring his missions for the sake of his biological child.

When Tsunade gave birth, finally, the joy she felt was immense.

She held the tiny baby Ryuma in her hands, so small and delicate. The Sannin noticed the curious yet drowsy gaze of the infant, observing them and scanning them.

Whenever they couldn't stay at home to take care of their son — whenever they had to leave for missions or duties — Biwako would volunteer to take care of him.

She was the wife of their master, Hiruzen Sarutobi – the Third Hokage. And alongside her, Minato and Kushina also volunteered. Kushina herself wanted to spend as much time as possible with Ryuma.

Ryuma remembered watching Kushina and Minato together, being with him and playing with him. Kushina was hyperactive and entertaining to watch. Minato was much more reserved, but he was no less gentle.

After about three months, Kushina had also been declared pregnant. Based on that information, Ryuma felt unprepared for the horrors that were about to come.

After all, on October 10th, Naruto will be born and Kurama will be released. Minato and Kushina will sacrifice themselves for the sake of the village and seal the Kyuubi inside their own infant son.

Ryuma was born at the end of November, almost a year before the incident.

Ryuma was very active.

And of course, thanks to his memories and mature mind, he was able to do things that normal babies would not be able to do.

He remembered the shocked faces of his parents when he first started crawling and rolling. He had simply rolled into the kitchen, watching his mother prepare breakfast, and sat there, watching until his presence was acknowledged.

Five months went by...

Jiraiya had invited Minato and Kushina as well, for a little dinner. Kushina was almost three months pregnant by then and had a visible belly.

Ryuma tilted his head when he saw the pregnant Kushina.

Ryuma, from where he was sitting, simply stood up on his own and started walking towards Kushina. This action completely shocked the others, as it was completely sudden, not to mention premature. It was way too early for a baby like him to start walking. Babies his age only just start crawling around.

"Oh my god! My baby took his first steps already!" Tsunade exclaimed, but Ryuma seemed to ignore that and walk up to the seated Kushina.

He climbed up the couch and put a hand on Kushina's belly, a fascinated look on his face. Seeing the expression of curiosity on his tiny little face made Kushina laugh.

"Awe! Look at him, he's so curious about Naruto!" Kushina cooed picked up Ryuma, who squirmed a little when held in such a manner.

"You really chose a name already ?" Tsunade raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah! The due date is October 10th, you know!" Kushina smiled cheerfully, giggling with anticipation. After all, she was going to actually become a mother.

"And you're sure it'll be a boy already ?"

"That's right! I can tell."

"Wait! You're naming him Naruto ? As in—" Jiraiya suddenly spoke up, remembering the past and the first book he wrote.

"Yes. After the main character of your first book." Minato nodded his head, making Ryuma raise an eyebrow at him.

"The book may not have sold as well as you might have expected. But I liked it. The main character... He never gave up. He always strived for the best. That's the kind of spirit I want my son to have." Minato elaborated on exactly why he chose to name his son after a character from his teacher's book.

"You're serious...?"

"You know it! And I think it suits him! Naruto will be an amazing shinobi when he grows up, you know!" Kushina beamed in a way that Ryuma had only ever seen from his mother.

Perhaps it was a mother-only thing.

"Unbelievable..." Jiraiya chuckled.

"Besides, Ryuma surely likes the name! Don't you, my little Ryu ?" Kushina suddenly cooed and looked at Ryuma while making a cute face.

And obviously, Ryuma smiled and nodded, even lifting his arm to agree with her. Seeing the enthusiasm, the others also laughed.

"Seems like he likes the name too!"

Ryuma managed to squirm out of Kushina's grip and fell directly on her belly. He then plopped his face on her, his ear directly on her belly as if he was trying to hear something. His actions made the people around him laugh.

"I can already tells, your son will grow up to be a fine man. And it seems..." Minato spoke, before looking at the smiling face of the Senju heir.

"It seems he has some fascination with Naruto. And he hasn't even been born yet."

"Well, if I'm Naruto's godfather, then Ryuma will be Naruto's brother! And it looks like those big brother senses of his are already tingling!" Jiraiya jokes while laughing, patting his own leg. His joke made Ryuma momentarily deadpan at him, before redirecting his attention.

He was an orphan in his last life. Just having loving parents was already an incredible feeling that he never wanted to lose. So being this close to a pregnant woman and feeling his soon-to-be younger brother... It all felt incredibly surreal to him.

...

A few more months passed. The date of the dreaded birth of Naruto Uzumaki was closing in.

Before long, Ryuma has begun to talk. He said his first words the very moment his vocal chords were developed enough to enable coherent speech. He also learned how to somewhat read and write. He didn't learn the entire dialect, but other babies his age would've just started walking; they couldn't speak at all, much less read and write.

Ryuma was a prodigy, through and through. Everyone who knew him was aware of that fact.

Ryuma himself has started meditating quite a lot recently. Many-a-times, his face was frustrated, but he managed to make do with what he had.

Sensing the chakra in the air. Feeling the chakra in his surroundings. It was an extremely tedious task. Being less than a year old, his Tenketsu points have yet to be opened. He didn't plan on opening all 362 of them, but he wanted to at least open the ones at his hands and feet as soon as possible.

He could simply feel the chakra in and around him at this stage. Tsunade and Jiraiya watched him from afar, smiling happily as they witnessed their prodigal son try and feel for the chakra at less than a year old.

"He's going to surpass us both when he grows up. I can say that with absolute certainty." Jiraiya commented, making Tsunade smile beside him. Her eyes never left the calm, meditating form of her beloved son.

Due to the isolated and boring life he lived previously, Ryuma ended up learning a lot of things that were taught in medical school. Among them, was the anatomy of the human body. Human anatomy is really no different in this world, aside from the addition of Tenketsu points to supply ones chakra.

It took absolutely forever just to open a single Tenketsu point at the ends of his limbs. It was a painful experience. Additionally, it was cumbersome.

The first part was actually locating the Tenkestu points within his body. He had to slowly sense and follow the flow of his own chakra in order to isolate and locate each and every one of the Tenketsu points. And even then, with how many there were, it took forever for him to actually memorize them.

He only just started trying to open them.

But he didn't just practice things and make his parents proud of him. It was a feeling he loved very much — since he previously had no parents and thus, sought after validation from his new parents. But that didn't mean he refused to have fun.

After all, he wanted to live a good and fulfilling life. And he didn't want to mature too fast. So he ran around, played, and had fun in whatever way he could as a baby.

He even managed to get his hands on Jiraiya's famed NSFW books, and even read them. Seeing that he could understand every word, Tsunade was understandably pissed when she found out. Tsunade also best the crap out of Jiraiya for being a "bad influence" on her "baby boy".

It was an amusing spectacle to behold.

It was also, the calm before the storm.
