It was another beautiful day at Nightclaw pack estate. The morning rays poured new hopes and aspirations through Brandon's window. The hopes and aspirations were confirmed by melodious birdsong heard from the trees on the pack estate. To Brandon, there was nothing pleasant and beautiful about the morning. Life without his mate felt so empty and meaningless. There was a wave of intense despair and profound sadness in his heart. The sadness kept increasing as the clock ticked. His eyes were red and puffy as he stared through the window of the chamber that was on the third level of the mansion where they spent all night making love a few moon-cycles ago. The soft wind with an end-of-the-winter feel was quite nostalgic. It kept reminding him of the day they met each other at the General Park. The nostalgic feeling made his heart heavier.
