Emma opened her eyes slowly and felt weak and dizzy. She noticed there was an absence of emotion in her wolf. She was supposed to be sad because of the ugly memory she had last night, but she was just numb. She tried to change position, but a hand held her firmly. She looked at the wolf that was trying to control her hand.
"Moon-fall, Luna," Paige greeted. She took her eyes off her and stared at the Intravenous drip at the back of her palm and sighed. The drip was not what she needed at the moment. Getting out of the royal den was all she wanted.
She heard two she-wolves' voices and a he-wolf's voice behind her, but she didn't know what they were dragging. One of the voices belonged to Naomi. It was as if she and a he-wolf healer assigned to her were trying to stop a she-wolf who wanted to deliver a message to her.
