A hundred and sixty eight hours, ten thousand and eighty minutes, and six hundred thousand and eight hundred seconds.
*Sigh*
A week, that's how long it had been since a single foot left the ground, how long it had been since she moved from that spot near the door.
Still and motionless, everything a Kinerikan wasn't.
*Buzz*
*Buzz*
Her limiter vibrated on her wrist, filled to the brim with notification ranging from concern calls and messages from Zoomie to Motina angrily terminating her employment the landlord giving notice of her rent that way beyond overdue.
She raised her head and glanced down at it for moment.
Seeing a list of worries laid down before her and felt absolutely nothing.
What good is home, job or even…
Her eyes fall on to Zoomie's name flashing on her wrist.
"Are okay?"
"Did eat the food I left,"
"Please tell at the very least eat something,"
"Please Rushina I…"
Her eyes glance away from the limiter.
What good was anything when…
Her mind flashed back to the bliss and peace felt when running at full speed with no restraint on limitation weighing her down. To exhilarating feeling freedom and…
She grinded her teeth and let out rough bitter breaths.
It was all taken away from her.
Now, nothing else matter. There was nothing, no fear, threats, or mockery that could possibly sting her soul more than the dread and agony she felt in her soul that keeps growing with every still second that passed.
Her eyes caught the light of the window. Even from so far away, she could still feel the gentle rays of the Kinerikan sun.
Oh what she would give to feel that sun, that warmth poured down on her while she darted and raced away past an open field, through an ocean and then, if possible, to the edge on Kinerik itself.
Her eyes then came to the limiter on her wrist. Seeing it continuing flashing that single meaningless digit.
And then, something in her snapped.
She let out a heavy breath before forcing herself up.
Oh what would give…
She stumble and fell like a child learning to walk again.
…to take had been denied your whole life…
She managed to get up on her feet and proceed to drag and push her feet forward one heavy slow step at a time.
…and live the life you've always dreamed of…
She made it to the kitchen.
A knife rested on the table on her left side and to the right her limiter resting on her wrist.
The answer.
She grabbed the knife. Raised it high and then…
Simple.
*Chop*
Absolutely anything. Even if…
A steak darted out of the slow zone, racing at top speed and the rocked ground with loud boom.
…it meant losing everything.
Thin strands and splat of red painted and the street as the streak raced by with begin to glow softly as it further and faster.
