Chapter 32 - One Who Must Not Be Named
"Could he—- is it—- is it happening already?!" There was so much fear in her voice.
"You can still stop him now. No matter what it is."
Something in her head onto that.
He could be stopped.
Her father was alright. He had to be.
"But you must listen to me, child. Especially, now that you, one of those he considers a worthy prey, have spoken about him. You have granted him power. He is more dangerous to you now, than he was before."
She flopped back to the pillow, fighting the tears that has welled up in her eyes. "What must I do?"
She heard the pull of the rosary.
Silence reigned for a beat too long.
She glanced at the door then back at the obstacle between them.
"We, the Sun Chosen, know of this way of acquiring powers."
He was continuing, like the interruption had not happened at all.
By the Sun, she didn't have time for this. She needed to know what to do already and be done with it.
