Clara and Linda stood frozen where they had landed, their eyes darting frantically across the enormous living room. Floor to ceiling glass walls overlooked the endless ocean while luxurious furnishings occupied a space far larger than most houses they had ever entered.
Their eyes eventually settled on Damian, who sat comfortably upon the massive couch with one leg crossed over the other. Rin rested lazily across his lap while Damian absentmindedly stroked the fox's silver fur as though nothing unusual had happened.
Neither woman spoke immediately.
The man before them looked nothing like the Damian they remembered. He was impossibly tall. His body possessed an overwhelming presence that made the entire room seem smaller around him. His gray eyes occasionally shimmered with traces of violet while every movement carried an effortless confidence that no ordinary human could imitate.
