Initially, Damian had considered staying indoors until their flight on Wednesday, but after everything that had happened, the last place he wanted to be was home, listening to his wives linger outside his door without the courage to step in. Deep down, he was not angry. Disappointment sat heavier in his chest than any form of rage ever could.
He walked out of the building with Clara trailing closely behind, while his wives followed at a slower pace. Despite the weight pressing on his mind, Damian carried himself with ease, polite as ever, smiling as though nothing had shifted.
Reaching his car, he pulled the door open smoothly before turning back to them.
"Later." He gave a dry wave before stepping in and shutting the door behind him.
"See you guys later tonight!" Clara added with a bright smile, waving cheerfully as his wives returned the gesture. Damian remained silent, waiting in the car.
