Chapter 182 - Still Dead?

Opposite Arthur, Heisenberg looked at the shivering, burly man and gave a cold smile.

"Arthur!"

He said.

"Have you figured out how to deal with my spear yet?"

"Me...?!!"

Arthur froze. Before he even had a chance to make a move, he was instantly pierced through the kidney by the Gungnir Heisenberg threw!

"Ahhh!!!"

After a tragic scream, Arthur looked at the spear sticking through his waist and immediately began howling in pain.

"My God, at least let me think! I can still think!!!"

"Think my ass. I've told you a thousand times: your constitution is decent, but it's inferior to Diana's and Clark's, let alone mine! When you're inferior in every aspect, if you still decide to step onto the battlefield empty-handed, then I don't have time to play games with you!"

As his words fell, Heisenberg summoned with his right hand, and Gungnir instantly prepared to fly back.

Seeing this, Arthur shuddered all over. In the next second, he desperately grabbed the handle of Gungnir protruding from his body and let out a wail.

"Wait a second, wait just a second! Pulling it out hurts more ttttt... ahhhh!!!"

Accompanied by Arthur's wails, Heisenberg gave a cold smile and casually used a force field to throw the continuously recovering Arthur aside.

He tapped Gungnir lightly against the arena floor and smiled.

"I told you, I won't hold back at all, nor will I waste any time with you. After I point out your problems, immediately come up with a solution. If you still have the same problems the second time you face me, don't blame me when I strike you down!"

"Yes, sir!"

Being stared at by Heisenberg, Clark shuddered and stood up out of nervous reflex.

As he floated toward the arena, he said helplessly, "Great-grandfather, Arthur's problem is manageable. The advice you gave him was to find a handy weapon. But I need to constantly improve my combat skills, and skills aren't as easy to solve as weapons!"

"So what? Isn't bloody, real combat the easiest way for you to improve your skills? Come on!!!"

Heisenberg sneered, and in the blink of an eye, leapt forward.

Clark was just about to raise his guard when he felt his body go light, and he immediately fell upward into the sky!

That's right, Heisenberg had altered the nearby gravity. To Clark, the sky was now beneath his feet!

To adapt to the force field Heisenberg controlled, Clark desperately tried to adjust his posture to follow the shifting space. Just like that, in the next second, he flew toward Heisenberg upside down.

Heisenberg's manipulation didn't end there. Clark had barely adapted to the upside-down spatial orientation when the gravity around him shifted toward the back left.

This made Clark incredibly miserable. The shifting force fields and gravity meant that before he even had a chance to clash with Heisenberg, he was already at an absolute disadvantage.

Battered by the constantly shifting force fields, Clark was instantly pinned to the ground by Gungnir thrown by Heisenberg.

Not only that, Heisenberg spread his legs and straddled Clark, standing right over his body.

Whenever Clark made an attempt to break free, Heisenberg simply threw a punch, directly dismantling Clark's movements.

Heat vision and frost breath took turns, leaving Clark completely dazed and confused from the beating.

This beating actually lasted for a full ten-odd minutes!

Feeling the constant tremors radiating from the center of the arena, Mera took a deep breath.

"Kael is still better. Whenever it's his turn, we get to rest a little longer!"

"Wuwuwu, but my Clark is getting beaten so badly!!!"

Lois wept bitterly. The great-grandfather was truly going too far.

Since when do Kryptonians teach their kids like this? You're not treating your own race like Spartans, are you!

Hearing Lois's crying, the Amazonian warriors nearby frowned in displeasure.

"Outsider woman, stop crying! A sacred duel shouldn't be tainted by your tears!"

"That's right! Why are you crying like a weakling? A true warrior is supposed to fight exactly like this!"

"If I had that kind of rapid regeneration, I'd love to have my guts beaten out by my comrades every single day! In no time at all, I'd become stronger than I could ever imagine!"

"Yeah, yeah!"

As the group of Amazonian warriors chatted about this, they suddenly all looked at Diana, who was resting not far away.

Stared at by her tribeswomen with man-eating gazes, Diana tensed up. Gripping her shield tightly, she couldn't help but roar.

"What are you looking at me for? It's not like my guts have never been beaten out! Three times, that was a full three times!!!"

"Ahem, Diana..."

The warrior closest to Diana hesitated, but when she couldn't hold it in anymore, she whispered to Diana.

"You are a demigod, and the child of His Majesty Zeus. I suppose your words would make His Highness the Sun God take notice. Could you ask him to let his sunlight stay in the arena a bit longer? You won't be fighting 24 hours a day anyway, so during the remaining time, could you let us go up and have some fun too!"

As soon as she finished speaking, Flash's eyes suddenly lit up not far away.

"I second that!!!"

Flash shouted eagerly.

"How long have we been fighting? Isn't it a full six hours? We can't just keep hogging their arena, right? Diana, let me go with you to talk to the Sun God. Give the Amazons more of a chance!!!"

"Hehe..."

Hearing Flash's words, Diana smiled with profound meaning.

She chuckled while shaking her head.

"If you have something to say, say it yourself. I'm no different from my tribeswomen; I love this feeling of constantly facing death. As for you..."

She gave Flash a deep look.

"You'd better just be blinded by my tribeswomen's tits, rather than being scared. If you're feeling timid about this, then I really will look down on you, hehe..."

"Blinded by what what...?"

Diana's words completely stunned Flash. He finally realized whose arms he was in.

Instantly, his pale cheeks turned bright red, and he immediately began struggling frantically in the Amazonian woman's embrace.

In the distant arena, Heisenberg's punch directly shattered Clark's jawbone. The crisp sound of bone cracking made Clark want to roar in pain.

But unfortunately, he didn't even have the strength to open his mouth, so he could only hold it in.

What frightened him the most was that Heisenberg wasn't done. With a wave of his right hand, a Blade of Chaos forged from solidified magma instantly appeared.

Swish!

With a dull thud, Clark felt a burst of heat in his left chest. His entire left shoulder and arm had been sliced off by Heisenberg.

"Ahhhhhh!!!"

A series of screams erupted from Lois's mouth. This bloody scene directly made the poor female reporter cry until snot ran down her face.

Having weathered many storms, Lois wouldn't faint from a bloody scene, but she wished she would.

That way, she wouldn't have to watch her husband suffer such horrific injuries!

Fortunately, an Amazonian warrior next to her seemed to hear her inner thoughts.

Bam!!!

With a knife-hand strike, the Amazonian warrior knocked Lois out cold.

The piercing noise finally disappeared, and the warrior who struck let out a long breath.

"So fucking noisy!"

She exclaimed, then continued shouting toward the arena.

"Beautifully done!!!"

"Thrilling!!!"

"This is exactly what we want!!!"

"Chop off his head!!!"

"Kill him! He's dead!!!"

"You're dead!!!"

Accompanied by earth-shattering, excited roars, Heisenberg grabbed Clark and threw him far away.

Clark crawled up with a twitching expression, while Heisenberg took this moment to speak to him.

"Compared to the beginning, your reaction to severe injuries has improved a lot. So take advantage of this moment and hurry up and attack me. Don't you think your current state is perfect for experiencing the feeling of a near-death counterattack?"

"I..."

Clark froze, clenching his remaining right fist tightly.

He moved his gradually recovering jawbone a bit, then softly encouraged himself.

"You're right, I am Superman... Ugh!!!"

Gungnir pierced straight through Clark's chest, completely draining him of the strength to move.

Seeing this, Heisenberg let out a chuckle.

"I said I'd give you a chance, and you thought I'd actually give you a chance? Hehe. I could, but I just won't, just for kicks~~~ Haha!!!"

His laughter made Mera, who was in the distant arena, shudder violently.

Watching Heisenberg retract Gungnir and reattach Clark's limbs, Mera began trembling even more fiercely.

After Heisenberg treated Clark's injuries, he casually tossed him to the nearby Amazons to help out.

Then he pointed in Mera's direction.

"What are you trembling for? You're up, Your Majesty, the future Aquaman!!!"

"I don't want to be Aquaman anymore! Wuwuwu!!!"

Mera was almost on the verge of crying. How was she going to die this time?

It was too terrifying. Gods and the like were just too terrifying!!!

Just as Mera stood up with great difficulty, Hippolyta suddenly stood up from the crowd.

With a wave of her cape, starting from those nearest to her, the Amazon women sat down one by one and fell silent.

Once the arena was quiet enough, Hippolyta composed herself and shouted an explanation to Heisenberg.

"Your Highness, the Amazons have prepared a banquet to entertain you and the heroes."

"Oh!"

Heisenberg replied, glancing at the moonlight in the sky, and nodded.

"Then let's stop here for now. Time to eat!"

After saying that, Heisenberg retracted the Blade of Chaos into his armor and stuffed Gungnir back into his pocket.

All around him, countless Amazon women cheered like a roaring tsunami, and ancient warrior songs echoed through the zenith arena.

Female warriors holding torches left early, lining both sides of the road leading from the arena to the banquet hall. The faint firelight stretched endlessly.

Under Hippolyta's welcome, Heisenberg walked out through the arena gates. Whenever he passed by the torchbearers, the two women would always half-kneel, respectfully watching his back.

However, it was hard for them to get a response from Heisenberg, because he was currently conversing with Hippolyta.

"Bruce is probably still flipping through the ancient texts, right? Please send someone to call him to the banquet hall. Otherwise, with his personality, he might not be willing to come out of there on his own!"

"Of course, Your Highness. I've already sent someone to do so," Hippolyta smiled.

...

As the procession led by the two walked further and further away, the cheers in the arena gradually died down, causing Arthur and the others who were left behind to let out a long sigh of relief.

It wasn't until Heisenberg was completely out of sight that Arthur finally couldn't help but mutter.

"I'm afraid I'll have to go back to the sea and find a suitable weapon. Heisenberg was right. Empty-handed, I really have no competitive edge!"

"Is that really a weapon problem for you? I'd be too embarrassed to even correct you."

Mera teased in a stress-relieving manner while still trembling. Her words made Arthur simply roll his eyes.

However, despite his dissatisfaction, Arthur had nothing to say. To change the subject, he casually summoned a ball of water and tossed it onto Lois's face.

Lois, waking up from her unconsciousness, stared blankly for a moment. Then she grabbed Mera's hand, who was holding her, and immediately started crying as she asked.

"Where's my husband?"

...

Hearing this, Mera looked not far away and gently shook her head.

"Him? He's still dead..."

"Wuwuwu!!!"
