Chapter 120 - 120 STALK

After Nezu declared that Izuku Midoriya was placed in Class A, the projection updated the file. A red letter A appeared in the corner of Izuku's profile.

The teachers nodded in agreement.

Mabui pressed the remote again.

"Next examinee.

Number 47.

Denki Kaminari.

Authority: Genetics.

Category: Quirk.

Epithet: Electrification.

Examination: 49/70.

Final Question Answer: I'll use my Indiscriminate Shock and see who lasts."

They watched as Denki released electricity from his fingers, firing it like a laser gun to paralyze his enemies before delivering a stronger shock to their vital points, defeating them.

The teachers voted.

Nezu spoke.

"Denki Kaminari. Class A."

The projection sealed the file with a A mark.

Mabui pressed the button again.

"Examinee Number 46.

Karin Uzumaki.

Authority: Chakra.

Category: Iryō (Medical Ninjutsu).

Epithet: Uzumaki.

Mind's Eye of the Kagura, Heal Bite, Adamantine Attacking Chains.

Examination: 70/70.

Final Question Answer: Seal them with these chains, and use everything in the vicinity to secure life first."

Everyone stared at Karin's profile.

From Uzumaki?

Who didn't know the Uzumaki Clan in this world? They were known for their sealing bloodline, a clan that had sealed Bijuu for generations.

And now one of them was here.

They watched her abilities. Chakra was classified into many categories and utilities, and Karin possessed unique traits — healing abilities and powerful chains.

"Chakra sure is handy," said a teacher resting her hands on the table.

"No, it's troublesome," Mei replied.

"What do you mean troublesome? Unlike us, your Authority gives you elemental control, and you even have bloodline traits from your lineage. That's unfair," the woman responded.

"That's why it's troublesome. Those with Chakra must prioritize their strongest and most compatible element. And bloodline abilities are rare — it's not like they're freebies," Mei said.

"Well, that makes sense," the woman replied while casting her vote.

They watched Karin use her chains to defeat monsters along the way. But in one of the clips, while she was fighting a D-class monster, they noticed destroyed appliances scattered in the background. There were even broken plates visible.

That raised a few eyebrows.

Nemuri chuckled and whispered, "So that's what he meant when he asked if I wanted cash or not."

Of course, the teachers nearby heard her, which made them frown.

The clip ended.

All of them voted her into Class A. Karin was versatile, strategic, and had high awareness. However, she lacked combat experience. That could be refined this year — and perhaps next year she could be moved to Class S.

Nezu declared:

"Karin Uzumaki. Class A."

The projection sealed her file with a red A.

Mabui pressed the next button.

"Examinee Number 45.

Charlotte Pudding.

Authority: Akuma.

Category: Paramecia.

Epithet: Memo Memo."

She scored perfectly as well. However, in the footage, she mostly stayed beside her sister. A white pistol was secured at her waist. She acted as a scout, using her three eyes.

After the clip ended, the dissipation of her Akuma was displayed.

Reading her file widened their eyes.

A memory alteration ability?

They immediately understood how dangerous her power was. She had to be protected and prioritized. If villains discovered her ability, it would be extremely dangerous.

This wasn't just about strength. Her ability would be invaluable if she could extract memories from Anomalies.

They unanimously placed her in Class S.

Nezu nodded. "I believe we're all thinking the same thing."

Everyone nodded.

"Charlotte Pudding. Class S."

The next examinee was the sister seen in the footage.

"Charlotte Smoothie.

Authority: Akuma.

Category: Paramecia.

Epithet: Shibo Shibo (Wring-Wring)."

They watched as she wrung monsters dry. Even though it was just a projection created by advanced technology, she could still extract "juice" from it before it dissipated.

They observed how she applied her ability in combat. It showed her strong combat instincts.

An ability that could wring anything.

That alone made her top-class.

"Oh, I remember. Must be one of the Charlotte sisters again," Gion said.

Now it made sense. In the second year, there were already students with the last name Charlotte.

They voted.

"Charlotte Smoothie. Class S," Nezu announced.

They moved on.

"Eijiro Kirishima.

Authority: Genetics.

Category: Quirk.

Epithet: Hardening."

The teachers had a split decision, but in the end, he was placed in Class A.

Mabui moved to the next file.

This time, they saw a unique trait — an Arrancar.

"Apacci Emilou.

Authority: Spirituality.

Category: Resurrección.

Epithet: Cierva."

They observed her power, brutality, and arrogance. That alone told them what they needed to know.

They placed her in Class A.

Next was another Arrancar. It seemed they were close to each other, but this one was calmer.

"Cyan Sung-Sun.

Authority: Spirituality.

Category: Resurrección.

Epithet: Anaconda."

They watched and evaluated her performance. They decided that Apacci should be placed with someone she knew — someone capable of restraining her if she acted rashly.

Sung-Sun was placed in Class A as well.

Before moving on, Unohana asked Nezu, "The Arrancar you placed in Class S — was that the girl beside them?"

"Yes," Nezu replied. "She was about to partake in the recommendation process for Class S, but she refused. After the survival examination, we saw why."

"She wanted to supervise her sisters," Kurenai said.

Unohana continued, "So she was the one who almost crippled that second-year student — and you placed her in Class S for defeating him?"

Nezu simply smiled.

Several teachers raised their eyebrows.

An examinee almost crippling a second-year student?

"Who was at fault?" asked a teacher with fangs visible in his mouth.

Nezu explained, "It seems she sensed someone following and lurking behind them. As you know, their race is extremely protective of their kind. She felt something inappropriate in his presence. Things escalated. If not for another second-year and the group monitor explaining their purpose, that student would have died there."

The teachers nodded in understanding.

It wasn't as simple as it seemed. Some races were deeply protective — especially those with low populations, like the Arrancars.

"But isn't that too much?" another teacher asked. "Almost killing a student just for following them? What did the second-year say? Was he okay?"

"Everything is alright. He's in good condition," said a woman in the corner, her face hidden by the dim light.

Nezu continued, "I wouldn't have thought much of it either — but the stalking continued for all seven days of the survival examination."

Several teachers slapped their foreheads in disbelief.

"What a lunatic," Mei said. "Tell me, who is it?"

Aizawa spoke up. "Don't tell me it's that guy again."

Nezu looked at him and nodded.

Aizawa scoffed. "He never learns."

All Might asked, "Who?"

As a new teacher at UA, he wasn't familiar with who they were referring to.

Nezu replied, "We'll discuss it later. Let's finish this first."

Everyone nodded.
