Chapter 91 - 91 EARRINGS

It had already been four days since Maki and Nemuri returned to their condo, and those four days were like both torture and pleasure for Nemuri. Even if she wanted more, her body couldn't take it. She would climax first or be left numb all over her body—especially her lower body, where she would feel an unbelievable ache stirring within her.

But every second they spent together was a beautiful journey that Nemuri would never forget.

If before she carried the presence of a mature woman, now she gave off an alluring, motherly aura.

She was still resting from the "wrestling" they did, which she had lost in every battle. She was checking her phone for any updates. Nemuri had taken a five-day leave at U.A., which of course was approved by Nezu. Today was the last day of the survival examination.

She checked her phone for any updates and information while resting on the sofa. From time to time, her hand would touch her belly.

Then she heard the voice of the "horse."

"Nem-nem…" the horse said.

He handed her the tea she had asked for. It was genmaicha.

She took it and said, "Looks like the test is over."

He then took his seat beside her and said, "Seven days! I didn't even notice it."

She took a sip from her teacup, savoring the taste, then placed it down on the transparent table in front of the sofa.

"After the examination, the examinees will need to wait to see if they passed. Actually, those with points lower than 300 will surely fail. Those with 300 to 500 points will be decided by voting after watching the video of each examinee. If their odds are higher, they'll be enrolled in U.A.," Nemuri said.

"So that's how it works," he replied.

"But things would be different if an examinee reached 2000 points and above," Nemuri added.

"Why is that?" he asked.

"Those individuals who reach that score would either fall into Class A or S. If they see exceptional potential—if the examinee is far stronger than the rest—there will be another vote to determine whether he or she goes to Class S," Nemuri answered.

"Then what about me?" he asked, pointing at himself.

"You?" she exclaimed. "Well, they'll need to study each examinee thoroughly. And let me tell you—you won't get a higher class."

"Okay. As long as I'm in," he said nonchalantly.

Her eyebrow rose at his response. "What? You're not curious why? Don't you know that higher classes give you more privileges? More professionals would teach you personally, and you could be part of more outside activities—there are many benefits!" she said.

He looked at her and replied, "Okay, I understand. So don't shout—you said your jaw was still aching."

"And whose fault is that?" she said, pouting and crossing her arms over her chest. Then she smirked. "Fufufufu… I forgot to tell you something. Those who pass the survival examination will need to take a written exam."

"Written exam?" he repeated. "Is that when you answer like 100 questions?"

Her eyes widened. She couldn't believe it. She slapped her forehead. "You'll definitely fail… and if you fail the written exam, you might get a lower class—or worse, you'll fail entirely. But for you, I think you'll just get a lower class."

He tilted his head. "Isn't it just some questions? What's hard about it?"

Nemuri just stared at him. "Why did I even ask…"

He simply shrugged and didn't think much about it.

Then Nemuri's phone rang. Her ringtone was the first song he had released, which she had set as her ringtone.

She looked at it. "Hmm… Nezu is calling." She pressed the call button and accepted it.

While Nemuri was on the call, Maki closed his eyes to relax a little, then opened the system.

Everything was normal… except his points. They kept rising. During those four days, he had received many points, which had now reached around 5000.

Of course, during those four days, he had drawn from the Lucky Box of the second panel. The draws were more interesting and of better quality. If in the first panel he could draw normal to rare items, in the second panel he could draw bronze tier and above. Here, he could choose specific categories, and the rewards were better.

In those four days, he made three draws each day. Today was the fourth day, and he still hadn't made a draw.

He had received nine draws in total.

From the One Piece category, he had drawn:

1. Dials ×1: Shells from Skypiea that store and release energy (Impact, Reject, Flame).

2. Kogatana ×1: (小刀, "little backsword") a smaller version of a katana, more akin to a knife. Dracule Mihawk uses this weapon to fight weaker opponents and also as a dinner knife.

3. Boa Hancock's Golden Snake Earrings x1 : ( details ) Her signature golden snake earrings are large, dangling ornaments shaped like coiled serpents. They symbolize her status as the "Snake Princess" and ruler of the Kuja tribe. The earrings feature a sleek metallic gold finish and a spiral design mimicking a snake, measuring roughly 6.5 cm (2.56 inches) in length.

The rewards from the One Piece category were good, and he could see the applications and details of the objects he had drawn. Especially the dials—they could store impact and release it later.

But there was one thing he discovered: objects drawn from the system couldn't be physically touched by others. To others, they were like projections—visible but intangible. He knew because Nemuri saw Hashirama's necklace on his neck, and when she tried to touch it, her hand passed through it.

He tried the same with the dials, and the same thing happened.

Another thing he noticed was that wearable accessories automatically integrated with his body—like the snake earrings. They were beautiful, though not his taste at all. But when Nemuri looked at him wearing those earrings, it was like seeing a man who ruled over serpents themselves. His red eyes seemed to portray the sinister gaze of a serpent, which fascinated her. She wanted to try touching them, but she couldn't.

In her mind, she thought the snakes looked familiar—but she couldn't remember where she had seen them before.
