Chapter 85 - 85 FISHERMAN

Unohana was still clinging to Maki.

And it didn't look like she was planning to let go anytime soon.

All Might cleared his throat again.

"I'll go first. I need to check on the others."

He had already seen that Naomasa and Makoto were only unconscious and would wake up soon. But the rest of the people inside the building might be in worse condition. He needed to check on them.

And for some reason—

He felt happy today.

All Might vanished from his spot and reappeared in front of the door.

Maki looked at him and said, "Super speed."

All Might simply smiled and gave him a thumbs up before leaving the room.

Mei and Nemuri could only watch Unohana.

They couldn't do anything about her.

Nezu was slowly regaining his composure, but his mind was swirling with countless possibilities.

Maki looked down at Unohana.

She was still resting her face against his chest.

Unohana whispered softly, "Hug me tighter."

"Okay," he replied without hesitation.

His arms wrapped more securely around her waist and legs. His right arm held her firmly at the waist, while his left supported her legs.

Mei and Nemuri watched her request—and the way he obeyed without question.

They were jealous.

Unohana truly wanted to fight him right now.

But her motherly side radiated stronger.

More in control.

She wanted to stay by his side.

For some reason.

She didn't realize it yet—

But he was the resting place she had been searching for all along.

A place where she could rest.

Be unbothered.

Be at peace.

It wasn't as simple as battle.

She had been looking for someone to lean on.

Someone who would understand her.

Maki didn't know what he had done to make her act this way.

They were unrelated.

Yet somehow—

They fit.

The woman was tired.

The man was lost.

Both simply needed rest.

In each other's presence.

Was fate doing its work again?

Or was it that little girl?

Time wouldn't stop for them.

He had only been here three days ago, yet so many things had already happened.

So many people had entered his life.

So many flows had been altered.

Everything unfolded without him realizing what he had even done.

Did he wish for this?

No.

Did he ask for it?

No.

Then who did?

Fate did.

Just like Anne Morrow Lindbergh once said:

> "The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. To catch its bounty, one must follow the pulse of the tide, for the fish only dance to the rhythm of the moving water."

Maki was someone content with the fish he had caught.

He was grateful he caught even one.

But now—

More fish were sailing toward him.

Waiting.

And in this vast sea—

He wasn't the only fisherman who had set sail and cast a wide net.

But would they catch anything?

Who knows.

Yellow Ribbon Chamber

The successor of All Might was racking up points effortlessly.

Each punch obliterated monsters.

Each kick crushed them instantly.

"Hahahaha! This is fucking easy! Who the fuck came up with this bullshit? I can do this all day! Wait for me, Class S! The strongest man with the strongest Quirk will surely get it!"

Green Ribbon Chamber

An examinee wielding a massive sword—taller than himself—swung wildly in every direction, ensuring every opponent was utterly crushed.

"This is really fucking messed up. Examination? When the fuck did this even happen?"

Red Ribbon Chamber

An examinee moved at blinding speed, steam rising from his body.

Each movement looked like teleportation.

Monsters couldn't track him.

And when they finally did—

They were destroyed without even understanding what happened.

"This is fucking nuts… wasn't this supposed to be at sea?"

Orange Ribbon Chamber

An examinee muttered nonstop to himself.

With a kunai in his right hand, he parried every attack.

Using agility and precise body control, he stabbed monsters in the eyes, blinding them.

Then he formed a compressed circle of wind in his palm—

And annihilated them.

"What is this? Some filler arc again? Don't you fucking mess with me."

Pink Ribbon Chamber

A man examined the area carefully.

Whenever he encountered a beautiful examinee, he extended his index finger and tapped the air before him.

After finishing his "inspection," he simply left.

"Tsk… fuck this ugly bitch. What a low grade."

White Ribbon Chamber

A handsome man in long white robes wore an eerie smile as he observed his surroundings, muttering commands to himself.

Whenever he spotted someone, he whispered:

"What luck… a yellow one. Might as well share it with me."

And on the 49th floor of the U.A. building—

A man had fallen asleep on a woman's shoulder.

The woman clung to his neck.

And the man hugged her tightly.

Unbothered by everything around them.

Well…

It seemed fate was truly doing its work.

Or maybe—

That little girl again.
