Far on the east side of the Ancient Forest, within the Black Ribbon Chamber—
A woman was still wandering around. She didn't seem to notice that a massive snake-like creature was following her from behind, hiding its presence within the dark environment.
The creature was about five meters long. Its scales were dark blue. Its head wasn't that of a snake but a human skull, connected to a long serpentine body. It had long human-like limbs. At the end of its tail was another human skull. One eyeball rotated endlessly inside the empty socket,it's mouth was like those of snakes two long fangs that could produce poison, enough to paralyzed and kill it's victim if ever it been allowed to fester and a long tongue extended from it like a whip.
The woman was unaware of the danger behind her.
She walked casually through the forest.
She had bright crimson—almost rose-pink—hair. Her hairstyle was highly unusual and asymmetrical: the right side was short, spiky, and unkempt, while the left side was long, straight, and neatly combed.
Her eyes matched her hair—crimson and rose-pink.
She had fair skin. A notable, though often hidden, feature was the presence of numerous bite marks across her neck and arms—scars left behind by people who had used her ability.
She wore a lavender uniform—a long-sleeved zip-up shirt—that was often partially unzipped or short enough to expose her midsection. It was paired with short black shorts, long black thigh-high stockings, and black sandals.
She was—
KARIN UZUMAKI
Authority: Chakra
Category: Iryō
Epithet: Uzumaki – Mind's Eye of the Kagura, Heal Bite, Adamantine Attacking Chains
Karin's personality was a volatile mix of "vicious professional" and "hopeless romantic."
She was a textbook tsundere, fluctuating wildly between aggression and affection—sometimes within the same breath.
To most people, Karin was abrasive, loud, and easily annoyed. She didn't hesitate to throw insults or resort to physical comedy when others got on her nerves.
Despite her outbursts, she was incredibly intelligent.
Cold. Calculated. Rarely lowering her guard in enemy territory.
She prioritized survival and efficiency. If a mission was failing or someone became a liability, she was often the first to point out the logic of leaving them behind.
But underneath the shouting, Karin had hidden depth.
Her childhood was tragic. Her mother died from overusing her healing powers for others, and Karin herself was treated like a living tool.
Yet she still possessed a forgiving nature—highlighting her immense loyalty and her deep desire for a true "family" connection.
The monster thought Karin wasn't aware of its presence.
But through her Mind's Eye of the Kagura, the creature was seen clearly as day.
The snake-like monster suddenly shot its long whip-like tongue toward her, thinking it had already won.
But Karin suddenly disappeared from its vision.
She had used Chakra Suppression, an ability that allowed her to completely hide her chakra signature, rendering herself invisible to others who relied on sensing.
Without waiting, Karin summoned her Adamantine Attacking Chains.
She leaped upward.
Dodging the sneak attack from below, her chains moved like living vines under her control. She coiled them together, forming a massive lasso, spinning it above her head multiple times.
As she descended toward the monster—
She slammed the chains directly into its skull.
CRAAAAAAAG—
But she wasn't finished.
She controlled the chains again. They wrapped tightly around the snake's long skeletal body, and with a single pull—
Karin crushed it.
The monster disintegrated into particles.
Then—
Beep.
Karin glanced at the black ribbon on her wrist.

She took a deep breath, then continued wandering.
After a moment, she raised her left arm—
And bit into it.
Blood began to flow, and she sucked in the chakra.
Karin possessed a unique and unorthodox healing method. By allowing an injured person—or even herself—to bite her skin and absorb her chakra, she could rapidly heal wounds and restore stamina.
After replenishing some of her energy, she continued searching for supplies.
There had been no disclosed information about where the supplies were located. They could either be naturally available within the environment for survival—or scattered packages hidden throughout the forest.
She wasn't planning on sleeping or resting.
She needed to find supplies early.
Karin knew that if she wanted to last seven days—
Well, counting today, of course—
She needed them.
